I purchased it to run on the treadmill when I can't get outside. These are okay shoes, so far so good, no problems after running 4 times in them. I owned Nike RN Distance and loved them, but the size was a bit small for me. I typically wear size 10 in running shoes, purchased size 10, but the shoes were snug. Ran in them anyways, short distances primarily, nothing more than 5-6 miles, and loved the flexibility in the forefoot and the 4mm drop worked perfect for me. Ordered the Nike Free RN Distance 2 to replace the old Nikes and decided to size up half a size, ordered a Women's 10,5. I seem to be swimming in them. The toe box is very, very wide. They just don't fit like the other Nikes do. But still a good enough shoe, so I am keeping it for the mill. Also, the tongue is not adjustable, it's sewn together with the top, as one piece, it fits like a sock. And shoelaces alone can't quite do a good job of getting a good fit around your foot. Even after tightening them up, my foot is still kinda loose in there.
Better than the 1st version
Love these sneakers, they are comfortable, light and super flexible. I love these versions better than the 1st, they have this support around the ankle that makes you feel more secure. They are good to run in and work out cross training. Going to get a second pair
For gym only
I bought these because Nike says they are 'running' shoes. Maybe you can run on a treadmill, but not outdoors without picking up tons of pebbles. The tread, in my opinion, is not meant for outdoor use. They are also very difficult to get on, I had to use a shoe horn the first few times - they have since loosened a bit. Once on, they are comfortable - but I will only use them at the gym.
Completely different than the Nike Free RN!
I was looking for a shoe with more cushion than my Nike Free RN to run a marathon. These are billed as the same shoe with more padding midsole. Not even close! The upper is different-no tongue-pull on like a sock-padding is so hard my quads were sore after a soft 5 miler.
Very disappointed-they are going back
Comfortable but questionable distance
I bought these for my weekly long run, about 13.1 miles. They feel good but the last few miles my feet hurt some because the arch support felt hard and I land on midfoot (I have high arches). I'm hoping that they need more breaking in - I've only run in them twice.
Good running shoe, Worth trying!
Nice shoe, great for running, light and comfortable. I figured I wasn't going to like this shoe, I am very picky, but I was pleasantly surprised on my first run in them. Nice fit and feel on the road. Happy with my purchase!
Great lightweight running shoe that has support!
This is my 3rd pair of Nike Free RN Distance shoes - they are lightweight and comfortable yet have good support.
Not good for high arches/insteps
The one piece tongue in this version is not good for people with high arches/insteps. Sending them back.
Great everyday shoe
I use these just for casual wear or long walking days. Nice look, very comfortable.
If buy these shoes again!
Perfect running shoes for my needs. I average about 20 miles a week on sidewalks.
Great New Free RN
