Product ADI1589 Review

I run in these shoes at least once a day. They're sturdy and I do well over the recommended 400miles in each pair. They hold up pretty well. Cushioning is great, sometimes takes a little time to wear in. I've been doing a lot of running on roads this year as opposed to trails and they still hold up well to the beatings. My only complaints are that I wish they made this shoe in other colors. White doesn't hold up to well on trails. A grey would at least make them appear new for a little longer. And the width of the shoe always feels a little too wide causing my foot to slide around in the shoe a bit if the footing is rough.

Great shoe!

The Glide 2 is a really comfortable fit and super comfortable ride. They offer a lot more cushion that the Mizunos and Nikes I used to run in. I run about 25 to 30 miles a week, and I need a lot of forefoot and heel cushioning. The Glide offers a lot of heel cushioning and some forefoot cushioning, although it could use a little more in the forefoot. With my first pair of Glides, I didn't size up because a review said not to, but they were a little too snug. So, I sized up another half size with the Glide 2s and they seemed a little too big. Go figure, but I put an insole in them for extra cushion and that took care of the problem. Now they fit great.

Comfortable shoe, sorry no longer made

This is my treadmill shoe. Very comfortable for short distances... less than 10 miles. It is affordable an gives good support. My complaints are that it may be too comfortable. One time I had to run 21 miles on treadmill and I took shoes off to find 5 traumatized toes of which I lost all the nails. Never felt a thing. I now just run up to 8-10 miles and they seem to do fine. No problems. I am sorry these are now no longer made. I have wide feet with no arch and these are good but don't give alot of support for overpronation. Great for short runs!

Solid Everyday Shoe

This is my workhorse shoe for marathon training- it is comfortable and the padding seems to last forever. They definitely don't feel that fast to me, but hold up well on longer runs. They're relatively inflexible for a pair of neutral shoes, in my opinion, but I like the increased padding feel that goes along with that for long runs especially. The only issue I've had with them is with blisters on 15+ mile runs. I've had those issues with every pair of shoes I've tried out, so have become resigned to it.

Unexpectedly super!

I went to the supernova glides after my asic nimbus started feeling a little hard. I have been an avid supporter of the nimbus shoes for at least the past few years but as my mileage increased, and i stopped heal striking, i noticed the asics felt thin up front. The supernovas do the trick, very plush up front, but not mushy fantastic for my high pronating arches. Love them,as far as durability, this is my first pair, if they're half as durable as they are comfy they will be my new super favs!

Does the job but a little stiff

The Supernova glide 2 is roomier in the toe box which worked well for me compared to the Glide from 2008-2009 but the Glide 2 is not as flexible as its predecessor. The Glide 2 feels stiff after running on gravel and cement in it for 30 miles. It doesn't have a soft cushioned feel like the old Glide but nothing hurts when I take the shoes off so it is doing its job.

Right out of the box PERFECT!

After wearing another shoe brand for the past 3 years, I decided to switch back to Adidas. This shoe has everything that I was looking for-amazing cushion and arch support, without being too heavy. I was able to run 8 miles on the first day, with not one blister or hot spot. These shoes are really great if you are a under-pronator, as they seem to help stabilize the foot roll to the outside. Highly recommended!

Great support - but blisters

I bought these as an alternate to my Nike Pegasus +27's, which I love but always end up hurting my ankles. I run about 25 miles a week, am 5'7" and about 120 pounds. A friend recommended getting a shoe with better stability as the Pegasus offers cushioning but not much else, which led to the ankle issues. The Supernova definitely took care of my ankles, but after 10 miles or more I started getting horrible blisters. I guess it's a trade off.

Super comfortable

I bought the original Supernova Glide and wore the soles down to nothing. I was thrilled when I found the updated, new and improved model well over a year after my first purchase, and bonus: they were in the outlet store. I have high arches and fairly boney feet, so these give me all the support I need to be able to run on pavement, pain free!

No Change from the Predecessor

I was running in the Supernova Glide before this and noticed no change between the two. I'm currently training for a marathon and had stocked up on the Supernova Glides last year. When I had to purchase a new shoe, I was nervous... for no reason. Feels the same as the old ones!

Adidas shoes are the best

Adidas shoes don't change drastically from year to year. If you find a shoe that fits well and works for you it's a great thing. I've found my ADidas Supernova Glide 2's are just as good as the originals. there are some changes but none that make a difference in my stride or comfort on my foot.

Awesome Shoe

I've always been a fan of the Supernova line and recently tried the Glide 2 after running the Glide for the last year or more. I'm running my first race in them this weekend, but so far they do seem to have better and more streamlined support in all the right places.

Supportive and durable

These accomodate orthotics well. I've used them for years in all weather, on roads and occasionally off road, and won't change: a good, light combo of durability and support.

Great cushioning

I have 2 pair of this shoe's predecessor, the Supernova Glide, and loved it. But this one has more cushioning and a smoother ride. I run 20 to 25 miles a week on average and wore these right out of the box with no problems.

Great shoe

I decided to get a good running shoe because I was getting some pain in my right knee with my old shoes. Now that I'm using these, I have no more knee pain, and the cushioning on these are great. I'd definitely recommend these.

Cushion-y but Geofit hurts Achilles

I really like these shoes for my long-distance runs, like 8+ miles. However, I'm still in my first month of owning these shoes, and the Geofit technology in the heel/ankle is just too tight. It hasn't worn in yet, and it puts some pressure on my Achilles. I've read other reviews of shoes that use Geofit technology through the heel/ankle where runners have also had issues with their Achilles initially, but it tends to go away as the shoe breaks in. I haven't completely worn the shoe in, so I am hopeful that I can continue using this shoe. If the Geofit doesn't give way and wear in soon, though, I'm afraid I'll have to find a new neutral-cushioned shoe.

This shoe works for my high arches and narrow heels. Nice wide toe box for my painful toes.

Great Trainers

I am on a quest to find the perfect trainer and have run in practically every brand out there. I used to run in Adidas several years ago and decided to give them another try. The Supernova Glide 2 is very comfortable and cushioned. They break in very quickly and give ample support. They are lightweight and nice looking. The only thing I do not like is that the heel is built up pretty significantly which provides great cushioning but I prefer a more low-profile shoe. I wear these shoes for my long distance runs (13+ miles).
