Nice Shoe

4

My pair has 200 miles or so, which I feel has given me enough time on them to give an honest/fair assessment. I think the midsole is nice and comfortable, probably more comfortable than the other shoes in the "Performance Stability" category. I think the durability is good and this shoe has been a good everyday trainer for me because it is cushioned a little more than I would say the DS-Trainer or Elixir. Comparable to the Brooks Ravenna probably. However, I must say that I wish the upper was as cushioned as any of the aforementioned shoes. Seems Adidas may have cut down on materials on the upper to allow the midsole more beef but still keep it light. The upper feels more like a racing shoe than an everyday trainer. I would buy these again. I had to go a half size up with Adidas, FYI.

Light weight and fast. I bought these to use as my race day shoe. So far I haven't been disappointed. I run 5ks, sometimes 4 milers, and carry more than average lean body mass for a runner since I love the gym. Therefore, I tend to have a heavyfoot strike like that of a heavy runner. These shoes allow me to run as fast as I can without fear of too much force transfer to my joints. Haven't used enough to comment on durability, but I am an exclusive adidas wearer and haven't been disappointed yet. This shoe allows my natural foot motion without too much control. I love the color too (red)!

Just Right

5

As a sub 4 min kilometer distance runner I have tried many light-weight trainers from all brands and have found the Tempo to be the ideal choice. It is made of very durable and long-lasting materials, has the right amount of support for long runs and yet is light enough for racing. The unique heel design provides excellent flexibility for foot contact with the ground and thus reduces foot and leg fatigue.

Hard to beat

5

A great shoe. Lightweight with just enough stability to get by. I have worn this shoe for long runs and workouts with zero complaints. The shoe has a tighter fit, similar to a racing flat but not quite as "tight". If you want a looser feel I would definitely go up a half size, I was okay with my true size.

Solid solid lightweight running shoe

5

I've been running in the Gel Kayanos for years. Decided to try something new, and really glad I did. Really lightweight, just enough cushioning, fast, and a good amount of stabilty. I'm 5'11 and 165 pounds. I don't know how long they'll hold up, but I'm pretty impressed with these shoes.

Great shoe!

5

Really comfortable and lightweight. I've run tempos and runs of more than 10 miles on the roads and trails with them. Just enough stability and solid cushioning. Have a snug fit which I like. Go a half size up if you want a looser feel. Not the best in the rain.

2 weeks use of 5-7 miles a day on pavement and these shoes feel great. Lightweight and breathable for the hot, humid southern summer days. May not be suitable for people with wide feet, average to narrow feet will find these the most comfortable.

5'10", 165 lbs., 20-30 miles/week ... started out using these only for weekly track/speed days (and worked great in that capacity - felt very light and fast) but when training shoes (Boston Classics) were shot I used these until I could pick up a new pair of trainers. Surprised, though, in how well these worked out - have run weekly 10 mile long runs in them (as well as speed days) and they have responded great. Currently at about 200 miles and no problems thus far and I've put off buying another pair of Boston's. Instead, I'll definitely get another pair of these instead.

Wow! don't buy unless you want to run faster. This is a race shoe pretending to be a training shoe. Feels very natural and has great cushioning, upper has a snug sock like fit. great for speed work and occasional longer runs. Found the laces to be too much so I re-laced skipping the eyelets second to the bottom and top and that really helped. Like others I have had some heel pain but only in the right foot so I am blaming my foot not the shoe, otherwise 5 stars. I am alternating this with the Adistar Ride another great Adidas shoe. I am now a convert from Nike.

I am (was?) a devoted Asics wearer. But I could not find any Asics shoe to replace the Gel Empire II which was the best shoe I ever ran in. So I gave these adidas a try and they are GREAT. I saw some reviews that they had extra forefoot posting and that is supposedly what differentiated the Empire II ("for the late stage overpronator"), so I gave them a try and I'm thrilled with the results. I have also tried Asics Gel 3000, GT2130 and Gel Stratus. I will probably stock up on the adizero tempo now, like I should have done with the Empire II.

3

Great fit but developed plantar fasciitis on my right heel during a 10K race and server knee pain on my left leg after the run. Probably due to my left leg trying to compensate for my right heel pain during the race. The heel cushion felt soft and deflated during the run. Not sure if I just received a bad pair or that it is the nature of Tempo. Too bad as I really like adidas' fit. Will try ASICS GEL-DS Trainer 12 next.

Love this shoe

5

Cushy forefoot, low & fast to the ground. Heel is a little hard & flex could be a touch better, but for a stability trainer, there is no better alternative. Love this shoe

The name says it all: these are perhaps the best shoes for tempo runs I have ever owned. I am a neutral runner with high arches and narrow feet, and these shoes work beautifully for me. I don't find them great for long, slow runs, but they come alive at fast pace. They feel much lighter on your feet than they really are. Just an excellent shoe - well done Adidas.

I just rec'd these shoes this AM so I had to take them out for a quick six at lunch time. These shoes fit like a glove and have adequate support. I am a runner that likes a snug fit and smallish toe box. My previous four pair of shoes were the SuperNova control 10. No blisters or hotspots. Tongue is a bit short, but not an issue.

5

I've had no problem with these shoes. I have always been a very serious overpronater, and with these I found a very stable, light, and comfortable shoe. I am currently training to run the Oklahoma City Marathon in April and I know that I will be very prepared and injury free. Excellent shoe and I recommend it very hightly to everyone.

3

These shoes provide fantastic cushioning for long runs and can even be used for fast tempos. The adizero CS match well to be used for speedwork and racing. Tempos feel great, but only problem is poor longevity. The shoe rips apart at the lacing points after only 200 miles. Never had such a problem with other shoes - ever.

5

Best shoe I've run in since Asics ruined it's DS trainer. I'm 6'2", 180 lbs with narrow feet and low arches. I love these shoes. Great fit and support without too much cushion. This is the first pair of shoes in 8 years that I have not needed Superfeet. I have about 200 miles on them and they are holding up well.

Ran 8 out of the box. Im 175 lbs neutral runner med to high arch. Felt light and fast. You can feel the road beneath you so I think its a great shoe for speed work (tempo, pace). Did feel some plantar pain after run. Hence 4 stars not 5

Nice roomy esp. for adidas - good cushion - seems to have forefoot posting (good for pronators). Mild review due to needing more time in them, forefoot might be aggravating shins...but a good, light trainer for sure.
