Been using these for a little over a month now and so far, so good. I use them for shorter runs of up to 5 miles. They are soft, but not so much so that they don't allow your feet to gain some strength. Basically they're not so protective that the muscles in your feet remain weak and underworked. They're good for people who want a happy medium between a shoe that's too chunky and supportive and a shoe that's so minimal that you can feel your feet pounding the ground. I believe the offset is around 6 or 7mm so like I said, right in the middle of the spectrum. Although I only use them for shorter runs, I don't see why they wouldn't serve as a comfortable shoe with enough protection for longer ones. And as an added plus, they aren't as expensive as a lot of other shoes on the market. I'm not saying that the higher prices of other shoes should deter anyone from what's best for their feet...I'm just saying that the price point of these is an added bonus because it is lower than most of the other shoes I own or have owned.
Great shoe, even for a Clydesdale
I'd been running in Vibram FiveFingers, but dewy grass on a below-freezing morning convinced me I needed a more traditional shoe. I am big - 5'6", 180 pounds; not your typical "fast and light" running - and I love these shoes.
I have a wide toe box and a narrow heel. These are a little roomy in the heel, but they fit fine. I don't have a particularly high arch, but I do have a high volume foot. The arches in these shoes work great for me. The fit is perfect for me.
Not sure how many miles I've put on them so far, but they're probably half-way through their lifespan as running shoes. No complaints. I'm training for triathlon, so I only run 2-3 times a week. My normal runs are on asphalt, packed gravel & dirt, and grass. These shoes handle surfaces well.
They're starting to show up as closeouts, so I'm planning to pick up several pairs. That's how much I like them.
Bought this to start my slow transition out of super-cushioned sneakers (back when I was a heel-striker) to a more minimalist shoe (now that I'm a mid-foot striker) and I transitioned into it very well. Had no problem breaking them in; I run about 20 to 25 miles a week (on the road) and this is currently my only pair of shoes. It was difficult finding a minimalist shoe for my wide, neutral foot- even this shoe I ended up getting 1/2 size bigger because no wide widths are available. But they are lightweight, allow my foot to fall and act naturally. They are very breathable & flexible.

Get Comfy on Pavement
Narrow foot, 5'8" 135lb runner. Use on runs of 10-30 miles, hilly, paved. Toes slip in toe box when hill grade is steep which could cause a hot spot/blister on bottom of toes. Has happened to me after 26 miles on courses with constant elevation changes even with cushioned socks and layer of Vaseline on toes. Trying to adjust lace tension to keep foot from sliding. Otherwise a very comfortable shoe for a mid-sole strike. Good ventilation. Recommend for paved surfaces.
Not the shoe for me
I was very excited to try a more minimal running shoe, but have quickly come to regret it. I am sure this shoe is fine for the right runner, but not me. Despite easing into it, I immediately noticed that I could feel every pebble on the pavement, and that I shifted from a mid foot to forefoot striker. Within a few weeks, I was experiencing some numbness in my lower legs when running, and my hips started acting up. Back to a more substantial running shoe with lots of cushioning for my high arched, under pronating feet.
Great lightweight shoe
While I intended to use these shoes for a marathon on March 16, I received them a day before the race and opted to go with my training shoes (ASICS). I have logged all of my post-marathon runs in them and they have been great. In the week since the race, I have put in four twelve mile runs and two 10 milers and have not experienced any problems yet. Verdict on durability, needless to say, is still out.

Another great lightweight shoe
I've run in Asics for 22 years now. I've always been brand loyal because Asics has never disappointed me. I like a lightweight, comfortable shoe, and this is yet another winner. I run 4 to 5 miles every day, rain or shine, and the one thing I never have to worry about is my shoes.
Love the shoes!!
I bought a pair of these in a store and like them so much I decided to order another pair. Love them so far, but they do tend to wear out quicker than some other shoes. I have heard this is similar to other minimal type shoes.
Not in love with them.
I have run in Asics for over a year and love the brand. This shoe however, gives me horrible blisters on my feet. I have never had this problem in the past with my other Asics. Still love the brand but not this particular shoe.
I really can't say anything negative about the gel lytes. They are so lightweight, but the gel throughout the shoe provides a lot of comfort while running. I highly recommend this shoe!

Very Lightweight and comfortable
These are very comfortable shoes that are extremely lightweight. I've only run about 100 miles in them so far but they seem to be holding up well.
I use these shoes in the gym for both cardio and weight training. They are super cute and stylish. I really enjoy them.
Light with cushion
I use these for my cardio days. Very light weight and comfortable yet durable enough for my trail runs too!
Lightweight, stylish and functional
I've strength trained, plyometric trained and run on the treadmill with these shoes. Happy with them!
Light and Comfortable!
It is sometimes hard to find a blue color for women's shoes. This is a great, blue color!
Darn good shoe
Good shoe. Just enough "cush" to be comfortable and maintain adequate support.
Not a great shoe for me
Wanted a change from asics nimbus...not sure I like this choice
Great racing shoe
Got these to alternate with my Gel Blurs and they are awesome!
