Brooks took a great short (the Epiphany) and turned it into an even better running skirt. I love the idea of the running skirt, but I find that most are a little too revealing - being either a)too short or b)split up the upper thigh. This skirt is neither. At 14", it provides full leg coverage that didn't seem to fly up while I was running. The skirt hits at a flattering point on the leg. The waistband is wide and comfortable, and I love the styling. The boy shirts do ride up a bit, but I haven't found a pair that didn't. I do have a little extra "in the trunk" so I order a size up on Brooks shorts. (I'm typically a SM, but for Brooks bottoms I go with a M, because I like my shorts a bit looser.)
Covers a multitude of sins
While I wish the built in shorts had more compression, I recognize that not everyone likes that. Women who don't wear extra compression shorts may find the built in short a trifle thin. TWO NICE POCKETS. If you read my other reviews, you might notice a theme here.
I wear my skort when I teach physical education and it is just the ticket. Professional, yet allows me to be active with my students. Exactly what I was looking for.
This is one of the most comfortable, lightweight skirts I've ever owned. I agree that the shorts ride up a little, but again, I've never owned a skirt that isn't like that (I always just use Body Glide or Sport Shield when I wear a skirt). Note: the white line styling only goes down the left side, which I didn't know before I ordered. It's not a big deal to me, but maybe it is to you? See the photos.
I bought this skirt in green and absolutely love it! I wore it during a 5K and had no issues with it. The skirt is very fitted so if you want a loose skirt I would recommend buying a differnt brand. Also the compression shorts arent very tight however I had no issues with them riding up while runing. This is a very comfortable skirt- I would definately purchase again!
not a fan
I bought these as I saw them at one of the expos and of course they didn't have my size - which I thought was a sign that this was a good skirt. but when I got them in the mail - they were not what I had hoped. The shorts underneath are too short for me and they rode up during my run. If I could return them I would - maybe they will make a good running errands skirt - but definately not to run in.
