Men's Brooks® Addiction 11™ :: The name is no coincidence; runners just can't get enough of the tried and true support in this old friend. We maintain its generous, DNA-ified ride and added more in-shoe comfort like a better sock-liner and an asymmetrical upper with suede overlays. One ride and you'll be hooked.

Used to be a NB 1012 and Brooks Beast guy. The 1340 that replaced the 1012 was horrible and the beast rubbed my arch. Im very flat footed and need a good arch support. I tried superfeet, but didn't really love them. I thought I was going to have to give up running, but then gave this shoe a try. I absolutely love them, They look great, especially the peacoat/storm. Important thing is that they are comfortable, have great support and I can run. I have run a couple 10K's and a half marathon in this model. I signed up for a half ironman later in the year and now feel comfortable I will be good to go training this summer in a great shoe.

Very comfortable and stable shoe
It has been years since I purchased a pair of Brooks running shoes and was happy with the comfort, traction, and weight of Brooks Addiction. I had two legs when I purchased my last pair of Brooks but I have been a below the knee amputee since 1997 so I especially like the control and stability I feel with the Addiction. I ran twelve marathons with a prosthetic leg but had to quit. With my news prosthetic and the Brooks Addiction I just might be able to return to running marathons.
Toebox too narrow
These felt so bad out of the box I didn't even bother trying them out on a run. They felt pretty hard in the mid foot, where I need cushioning, and Brooks is making the toe boxes so tight now that even my narrow foot is falling off the side of the shoe platform. I am a pronator and older runner who needs a stable, wide footbed to avoid roll and injury, and a little bit of supportive cushioning. These are definitely not the shoes for me.
switched from NB 1012 because they were discontinued and the replacement was a poor shoe. So far these are great shoes I run 25-40 miles a week on trails and I will see how they hold up. I hope Brooks knows to keep a good thing
Good so far
I have run in these for about a week, and they have been good so far. Fit is good and they feel great. They seem to provide good cushioning and support. We will see how it goes over the long run. You really can't accurately rate a shoe until it's run its life, and then the manufacturer probably doesn't make that model anymore.

Good Shoe for orthotic wearers
The Addiction was recommended by our podiatrist years ago due to wearing orthotics. Enjoyed model 10 very much. It seems that 11 is somewhat lighter and also wears faster on the heels.

I continue to buy this shoe - 15-yr rng
This shoe provides excellent support and durability for the larger runner. 15-years and running in the same model of shoe says a lot about the product and the company.

Have worn the Addiction for years and it continues to be the best support/control shoe.
