If you miss the Burn or ...

If you miss the Burn or even the old Cheetah II, then this is the shoe for you. Very light weight but the support is awesome! The S-shaped heel channel dissipates shock and provides a very natural foot roll. Forefoot cushoning is excellent without being excessive. I was upset when the Burn went away, but if this is why, then I'm glad now! This is a shoe for the long run and one I will stock up on.

Light, Flexible, and Comfortable!

These shoes are light and fast but still offer enough padding to use as an everyday trainer. No bells or whistles to get in the way either. This is how running shoes should be!@

Excellent light trainer/racer

Used for speedwork sessions; intervals, tempo repeats, and downhill legspeed work. Comfortable, well cushioned, and good construction after 40-50 miles.

These are my new go-to training shoes. I do virtually all my training in lightweight trainers of various brands and these are by far my favorite. I don't understand the other comments about these shoes feeling dead or being bad for fast runners (maybe due to the soft cushioning these wouldn't be ideal for heavier runners). I use them for everything from speedwork to long, easy runs and really appreciate the soft cushioning, flexibility and smooth ride. If you're looking for a light shoe with soft cushioning this one is a definate winner.

I've put about 50 miles into this shoe and just ran a half marathon in it. No issues except its not so good in the wet when compared to my NB 758 and NB 769. Fantastic for tempos. Brooks should add some anti odor material in their shoes like NB does. 5'8", 160lbs, slight over-pronation on left foot.

Nothing like any version of the Burn. The midsole is marshmallow soft and unresponsive. Some folks may prefer that but to me, it just works your feet to death. The fit is very nice but I don't like running in it. 2 stars.

The Launch is twice the shoe! I would not take the Speedstar3 over the launch if it was being given to me free of charge. Ran 2 10 mile runs this weekend and the Launch performed great.

Great shoe. Nice and lightweight. Twisted my ankle badly at mile 1, ran the other 25.2 on a twisted ankle in them. Stable enough to help my through it, despite it being a neutral shoe.

These shoes are the worst like running in sand, dead on impact. If you run fast these shoes are not for you, what a waste of energy. I am sticking to my Newtons I thought maybe I could find a cheaper shoe.
