Men's BROOKS® LAUNCH :: With an incredibly flexible outsole and seamless transition, the lightweight men's Brooks® Launch will get you from start to finish, whether you're doing a tempo run or a race. Add to that the lower-profile midsole and minimal upper, and it's 1,2,3......blast off! 9.3 ounces
My first outside run with these and they felt better than expected. Used them a few times on the treadmill was didn't think they were going to have enough cushion for outside but I was wrong. Soft enough and lighter than you would think. They are a keeper! I have the Orange and Yellow which are perfect for my Spring and Summer Runs!

Awesome nuetral shoe, my favorite so far
I am 5'11" / 165#, neutral gait, midfoot striker and so far (1 month) this shoe is the best for my running style that I've ever had. My previous shoe was a Saucony ProGrid Ride, which I really enjoyed also. It's likely that I would have just bought the new Saucony ProGrid Ride 2 or 3, but both those models have turned into pontoon boats... i.e. way too much cushioning! These Brooks Launch are a nice sporty "ride" b/c they are lightweight, have just the right amount of cushion, and don't have too much bulk in the heel. I should say that I have a somewhat narrow heel and moderate to deeper instep and moderate to somewhat wide midfoot / forefoot and they fit like a glove. Nice amount of room in the toe box, but certainly not too much for my tastes. I run mostly road and a little bit of trail, usually around 5K. I also run sprint intervals in these shoes on the track as well as the stadium stairs. Brooks, please continue to make this shoe UNADULTERATED. Cheers!!
The name is stand by itself LAUNCH
I am 52 years old 5'9" and 190/lb. lost about 15/lb. and will drop my weight to 178/lb. or more...i would not think that this shoe be this comfortable i use it on my training and running minimum 6 mile or more every other day, i have no pain and even at night time use to get to much stress to my foot and have to massage, but not with Brook Launch, i could not fined any thing that i don't like.
very good cushion, and traction, light weight, .... and it's the best shoe for Marathon and training, is better then (Saucony Fastwitch4) which i have the Saucony and need some more cushion and it's extra light weight but sorry not as comfortable as Brook Launch.
i will get some more pair of Launch for my son and for my wife as well. Launch is the "ultimate" performance. thanks Brooks..... see you guys at Las Vegas ;-)
A good compromise
I'm 5'7", 130 lbs. and have moderately low arches.
Over the past three years I've run with four different models: ASICS Gel-evolution, Saucony Omni-8, Saucony Kinvara and Brooks Launch. (As you can guess, I've been trying to transition from heavier shoes to more minimalist ones.)
The Brooks Launch shoes have been the best of the models I've tried. They aren't as light as the Kinvara, but I find them much more comfortable, I think because the Kinvara are slightly narrow for my feet. I think of the Launch as a good compromise for someone who wants a shoe that is at once lightweight, comfortable and durable.

13.1 Miles of Fun
Happy Feet! I bought them to run the San Antonio Rock & Roll Half Marathon.
Wanted a new incentive to improve, tried on 3 others from RRS and returned them(first time to use the guaranteed fit worked Great!). As soon as I put on my Launch's my feet said "were ready". I wore them on a light 4 mile jog Thursday before the Sunday Half Marathon. I took 6 minutes of my last 1/2. I am very happy with the shoe's I will Purchase these again.
Great transition to minimal shoe
When I bought my first pair a year ago,(orange) I was over the top impressed. I PR'd my first half marathon on a pretty hilly course. (1:25 and my prior PR was 1:27) They are light, but still feel super comfy. After a year of working on my form, I now feel the heel of the Launch is a bit chunky and prefer the Brooks T6 as my running shoe for any distance. All that being said, it was a great shoe to help me transition to a more minimal racer.
Love these shoes
These shoes are great. I was woried they would not have enough cushioning, but I really have not had a problem with them. I've ran 20 miles in these shoe in the past week and a half. I wanted to work them into my training program slowly to prevent soreness, but I have yet to feel any discomfort, even after a 10 mile run.
These shoes are light, comfortable, and just feel fast. I will definitely recommend these shoe to others, and buy more for myself.
An All Time Fave
I picked up my first pair of Launch on the recommendation of my ShoeGuy/Coach. I was looking for something a little more minimal that I could use for distance. He hit it on the head with this one. Daily trainer all the way! I've run every distance up to the Marathon in this durable shoe. I'm on my third pair now. I like the new color scheme, but I do miss the red/orange.
Light Yet Responsive & Durable!
Unbelievably light, yet responsive and durable trainer/racing shoe! Light enough to race in during road races, yet strong enough to withstand longer mileage workouts. Most comfortable running shoes I have ever worn. I go back and forth between this shoe and the Ravenna, but this is becoming my favorite running shoe ever.
Upon first run (a group run at limited speed) with these shoes, I can say that the shoe feels fast. Second run, alone, will be tomorrow and I'll put them to the test. The shoe seems to be a bit longer than other branded shoes of the same size. For instance, my Saucony ProGrid Ride are size 11.5, but a size 11 in the Brooks Launch is the same overall length. 11.5 was too big for my feet, so had to downsize 1/2 a size.

All-around solid shoe
This shoe is one of the best all around I have ever owned. I have used it on long runs, tempo runs, trails, track, whatever. It really shines on extended hard runs though.
Lightweight, with cushioning. The shoe feels fast on my feet. Great price for what it is. The only downside is they seem to wear quickly, but if you rotate them with other shoes you can get a lot out of them.
This shoe fits my foot type great. I like the weight and flexibility. So far I've put 100 miles on them with my longest run in them being 18 miles. I was worried they might not have enough cushion but am finding I like them much better than the Nike Pegasus I've been alternating them with. Lighter, not as clunky and my feet are no worse for the wear after a long run.

Great Lightweight Trainer/Racer
The Brooks Launch is versatile enough to use at a variety of race distances or even upbeat or tempo training. If you liked the Burn, the Launch will be a more than adequate replacement. Two color choices make it versatile for different style choices. It looks fast and performs even better. I'm an older runner and it meets my minimalist requirements for a trainer/racer.

Great fit in the toe box mile after mile
If you have trouble with forefoot numbness in long runs, this one should reduce your discomfort with the generous room in the forefoot, similar in fit to the adrenaline series.
I love these shoes
The last 20 pair of shoes i've bought have been asics. My wife and some friends prefer brooks. By chance I tried these instead of the new gel-speedstar which fit me too snug. I love these they have enuf room in the toe box area, and not too snug anywhere. They are low to the ground like racing shoes and they have incredible cushioning (softer than my nimbus's). I like them a lot!!

Best Bang for you Buck
This has by far been the best shoe I have trained/raced in! The cushion and support allows me to train short and long distances alike, and the lightweight and sleek design have allowed me to race 5K, 10Ks and 1/2 marathons. It is no wonder that Runners World rated this the Shoe of the Year, thanks Brooks!

crazy good shoe
Using this shoe for track workouts and tempo runs. I've had neuroma surgery in the past and usually avoid shoes that are this light, feeling they don't provide enough cushion for my foot with scar tissue. This shoe is super light and yet is still very cushioned. I can wear it around all day and it feels great.

Fast, Fast, Fast...and support!
I use this shoe as my second pair trainer along with Brooks Ghost 3. The shoes are great. I'm 6'1", 170, with high arches. The shoe is great with support and light as a feather. This is a great race day shoe or everyday trainer. Best of both worlds with the Launch!

Launch is ready to rip!
The Launch is THE perfect temo/hard day training shoe. I use my Orthodics in them with no problem and really feel like I can run fast without the pounding of training in racing flats. Get them and get ready to rip!

Love this shoe
I'm a master's marathoner who used to only wear the Brooks Glycerins for training/race day. I decided I needed a lighter race day shoe and looked to stay in the Brooks line. The Launch really fit the bill.
1) Excellent impact cushioning. One note, I think they feel a bit marshmallowy until you break them in. While I can tell there is less lateral support in these shoes compared to the Glycerins, I do not notice a huge difference in cushioning.
2) For me, the fit felt the same as the Glycerins and I go with the same size for both
3) The 3 or 4 oz difference between the Launches and the Glycerins feels tremendous. I feel so much faster in the Launches.
1) Traction on trail surfaces is mediocre. The shoe is best suited for road conditions.
Uses: If you are an older runner or someone concerned about needing adequate support for distance running/races, this shoe is a great compromise between the typical trainer and race flat. I wear them for my speed workouts and on race day. However, I think it would not be unreasonable to use these shoes as your everyday trainer as well. I will certainly never run a marathon in trainers again!
Fast for racing and grat for training
Best shoe I've ever worn. This shoe is fast, great for tempo runs and for runners who don't want to race in flats. This is and will be my go to shoe. Ran 20 miles in them with no problems.
Excellent shoe for racewalkers!
As a racewalker I use these for both training and racing. They are excellent; this is the second pair I have bought and I am really pleased.
Nice shoe, good value
I purchased the Launch seeking a lightweight but durable shoe that I could use for moderate distance training (average 5 mile runs 4 times a week). I have been very happy with the way the Launch has met my requirements. I now have a second pair, which I purchased in prep for a half-marathon - at which the shoe remained well-cushioned but with a "fast feel." The first pair, which has around 200 miles, still feel great, although I now use them just for walking and the gym. The newer pair continues to perform well with approximately 200 miles on them. I am likely to purchase another pair, although I am considering trying to transition to something more minimal, but the Launch is a good middle-level shoe regardless.
"Lite with cushion"
I ran my first marathon in these shoes and they were awesome
On my third pair of launch and LOVE THEM! I bought a new pair right before my recent fitness test, and pulled off a new personal best for 1.5 miles run (beat last year's time by 10 seconds, just tickling the sub-8-minute mark as a 38 year old.) These shoes used to be reserved for just "fast day" workouts, but now are used for daily training and races. They seem barely heavier than my racing flats, but feel more secure to me and offer just a bit more cush. Quick, responsive, and light. I usually get around 300 miles on a set before I buy new. Other shoes give 400 miles or so, but for the purpose I wouldn't add or change a thing on these shoes.

Versatile lightweight training shoe
I'm now on my 7th pair of the Brooks Launch. I started out using them for long runs and tempo workouts but now use them primarily for easy runs (they work well for this purpose unless you are used to lighter weight shoes, e.g. Green Silence, LunaRacer, Adios, etc.). I'm 5 ft 8 inches tall and weigh about 168 lbs. I usually get between 350 and 400 miles on a pair of these shoes. The tread holds up pretty well but I can start to feel it in my legs around this amount of miles. The reason that I keep coming back to this shoe is that it provides a minimal but necessary amount of cushion for recovery runs in a lightweight package. I've recommended this shoe to multiple friends and family members and have received nothing but positive feedback.
I love them
I bought these shoes because I am transitioning from a heel striker to a forefoot striker. I am 6'4'' 240 lbs so I am trying to reduce the shock on my knees. I have been running for 2 years and I have completed 4 halfs. These shoes were rated high for minimalist shoes. I have to say that there is a big difference in running forefoot in a traditional shoe and a minimalist shoe. So my first run with these shoes was 6 miles, and I couldn't be happier. They are light yet they are very comfortable on landing. I have only put about 25 miles on them so far, but I rate them as my best running shoes.

Felt great, but just one little catch
I ordered the Brookes Launch a half size up as prescribed by the website and that was a good choice. The sole felt very cushiony and had little drop which helps with midfoot running. All appearances and feel were excellent beside the toe box being a little narrow for my foot. I generally wear regular width shoes so I didn't want to trade them in for a wider size only to find they would then be too wide in other areas.I ran 5.5 the day I got them and they rubbed a blister on the outside of my pinky toe I could feel after about 2 miles. I know a lot of people swear by Brookes, and they do seem to be great shoes...just don't fit my type of foot.
Afghan for now
I love you launch!
I'm actually a chick that usually runs in men's shoes due to increase width. I have the yellow/orange shoes and LOVE them. Right out The box very comfy. Was runnin in Nike dual fusion but as my miles increased I had more knee pain. When I first ran in these my feet were a little sore (i believe they are considered a more minimum shoe so I think my foot muscles were just adjusting). I love them...I do every run in them...training for 1/2 marathon...usually run 18-22 miles a week. Already bought a second pair when rr had its extra VIP sale! Love this site!
Favorite. Shoe. Ever
I love these shoes. Used to love the Brooks Defyance I, then did some time in mizunos...then I found these. I'm 5'8", 160, neutral, med. arch, somewhat wide forefoot, and these fit great. They're light, streamlined, fit great, and look great too. I switched out the laces to black and every time I look down I'm convinced I'm ninja-fast. First time in 5 years of running I've loved a shoe so much I'm slowly building a stockpile for the inevitable, dreaded, "model update." I can't recommend these highly enough.
