I am a runner who runs outdoors and on the treadmill 5-6 miles a day. I also do strength training and biking. I really loved the Glycerine 9 although they seemed to wear out quickly. I was worried when they changed to the newer model as quite often I hate the changes. This was not the case in the Glycerine 10. The shoe actually seems more cushioned, and seems to be holding up better than the 9. There was no break in time and it felt perfect from the time I slipped it on. I have high arches and insteps and there is plenty of room. I am just over 5ft and weigh 100 lbs. I wear a 5.5 in a street shoe, but I ordered this 1/2 size up as I do with all my running shoes. I highly recommend the Glycerine 10.
Good shoes but lose cushioning over time
I have bad knees from a previous sports injury, so I'm very careful about getting shoes with maximum cushioning. My Nike Vomero 5s had fabulous cushioning, but they were a little too wide and roomy for my foot. I decided to give Glycerine a try. They felt really responsive and cushiony, yet comfortable despite my bunionettes. Unfortunately, about 75 miles in, while there is still cushioning, its effectiveness has decreased to the point that I feel pain in my knees after 5-6 mile runs on harder surfaces (I run about 10 miles per week). It's disappointing, especially at this price point, that the extreme cushioning didn't hold up. If you need cushioning but not as much as I do, it's a nice shoe. But I guess I'm going back to Vomeros.

Love the Glycerin; this is my fifth pair! (2nd pair of edition 10) I use these sneakers for distance running; I run between 5-15 miles a day, mainly on pavement. I generally put about 400 miles on them before I buy another pair and they hold out well. Normally, when I put my foot down my arch will basically collapse. The Glycerin has been the best sneaker to combat that. I also combine them with SuperFeet for extra support. Since switching to the Glycerin (and also adding superfeet) I've been able to avoid shin splints and arch pain. I have nothing negative to say; Brooks has done an excellent job engineering the Glycerin!
Worth the money!
I've been a loyal Brooks Glycerin runner for years! They have the wider forefoot and toebox without displacing the arch support or feeling sloppy in the heel. My Glycerins have taken the punishment of sand dunes, muck trails, scorching pavement and snow up to my knees, all the while performing like they were "just out of the box". The cushioning holds up to everything this Athena has put them through, while being flexible enough to keep me agile on the deer paths. I'd write more but I taking my Glycerins out on a run right now!
I love the Brooks Glycerin 10!
I have been a runner for nearly 40 years and recently switched to wogging (walk/jog) to prevent wear and tear on the joints. I am 5'5" 125lbs. with high arches. The Glycerin 10 has been a very comfortable shoe for me to wear for my daily weight training workout/cardio. However, I had one problem with my first pair after only 2 months, some of the tread came unglued. I took them back to my local store and they replaced them with a brand new pair. I love Roadrunner Sports and being a VIP!!!
Have to trade them back in for Asics
My Asics Nimbus shoes were ready to retire and I picked up a pair of these Brooks on the advice of my Shoe Dog fitter. Love the look of the shoe, but after running in them for about 30 miles, have decided to go back to my tired and true . Had problems with my right foot - numbness of the top of my foot by the ankle and later on the bottom of my foot up by my toes on my 7-9 mile runs. I really want to love these shoes, but cant do it any longer. I have adjusted laces and done everything I can think of to make these work for me, but it isn't happening.
My favorite shoe
Love these shoes. Third pair for me. Waiting on my glycerin 11 pre order. Great arch support. Feel like the support is right where I need it without wearing my super feet. Run on pavement about 15 miles a week. Had plantar fasciitis in both my feet for two years finally getting back to running with no pain thanks to my brooks. I HAVE A WIDE FOOT. Orderd the wide wish it was slightly wider and not much color selection in the wide, but still love them.
My favorite shoes
I could not take these off once I put them on. They fit better than all my other shoes, of which I have many. I have run half marathons with these and Ragnar races (didn't even have to bring a second pair for Ragnar). They cushion like a cloud and my foot strikes in the right place every time. I want to stock up on these, but it would break the bank. I have 2 pairs already, one in each color offered at Roadrunner Sports.
Glad I switched brands...
Not to knock Asics, but I have been having issues with the cushioning. Alex at the Road Runner store suggested I try out Brooks. Skeptical, I tried them on and walked around the store. The difference in the cushioning is amazing. The shoes minimize impact and it literally felt like I was walking on clouds. I am an avid walker and I walk many miles on the treadmill. However, I am positive that if I take the next step into running, it would still feel great.

My new favorite running shoe!
I was a Nike Zoom Vomero fan, but couldn't take the colors any longer and the feel was changing as well. This has been a great replacement and my new favorite running shoe! I run about 12-15 miles a week, training for a triathlon. I love the comfort and color options. Plenty of cushioning. I do use the RRS insert for cushing as well. Great shoe. Glad RRS recommended. Size runs about 1 size up from regular shoe.
I LOVE the launch but they are discont them:(. I've tried green silence, pure flow, and ghost. All returned. I'm gonna keep these
Pros- comfy, great cushion, and felt great out the box
Cons- heavier than I'm use to
I think this is a great brooks shoe w good cushion And still having flexibility
I still think the launch is the best shoe brooks makes.
Also, I have wide feet and wear the men's version in all running shoes w no issues
I have been wearing Glycerins for a while now. I especially loved the "9" model. I train for long distance triathlons. The "10" pushes down on the base of my toes and I can not seem to adjust the laces to make the tongue of the shoe hit in the right place.
I am trying to figure out the fit because the "9"'s are not avaialable.
Reading the reviews, this doesn't appear to be a problem to others.
Love these shoes.
I switched to these when I started training for my first half. Four races later, I won't wear anything else. They "wear out quickly" when I only have one pair (I wear them 5-6 days a week running on pavement or the treadmill). They only have about 300 - 350 miles in them, at least for me. They are worth the expense but save them your longer runs and a pair for shorter runs to help these last longer.
As a marathon runner, I only wear these for my long distances. These are my 5th pair and I swear by them ( I have tried other full cushion sneakers). As a supinator the sneaker holds up, doesn't wear quickly and my feet never hurt! The only con I have about them is that there aren't many great colors so if you have to buy more than one pair you are limited.
LOVE these shoes!
I'm on my second pair of Glycerin 10. I didn't think there could be so much improvement from the 9 to the 10, but there was. These shoes are great. They don't rub, they feel comfortable from start to finish, even on a half-marathon. I love the dark grey and pink color too. The Glycerin is a shoe I will continue to buy! They definitely made me a believer in Brooks.

I was having a lot of foot pain from years of working all day on concrete floors. I have recently started going to the gym on a regular basis and my pain increased. Within a week after wearing my new shoes with the custom inserts my feet feel soooooo much better. They feel supported in the correct areas and has helped me to work out and walk longer withour pain.

The shoe I have waited all my life for.
These shoes feel like I am walking on pillows. I do about 28-30 miles a week and found that I was going through shoes in 3 months. So far, I have barely put a dent in the soles. I had help picking these shoes by talking to a girl on the phone. If ever in doubt about shoes, talk to them. Best shoes and great service!
The Cadillac of running shoes
Within the last 3 years I started really running again. Everything hurt including my ankles and knees. I really thought I had too many old sports injuries to ever enjoy running again. With some persistence and Brooks I am in the best shape of my life. I will never purchase a different shoe.
For people who hate to love running.
I absolutely hate running but I have to in order to keep my job. These shoes make it less painful and agonizing. I am SO GLAD I went to the Road Runner and had the staff fit me with a pair of shoes which reduces leg, shin, knee and back pain, these work great! LOVE THEM!
Love to Hate Running
Great Right Out of the Box!
I ran 13 miles in them the first time I wore them and they felt GREAT!!! Two weeks later I ran a Half Marathon in them at Disney and absolutely no foot problems afterwards and I am prone to corns on little toe so I was thrilled! Getting ready to purchase a back-up pair in a different color!
Great shoe for everything
I have these in both pink and blue color. I use custom inserts due to my arches, and they fit great in shoes. I love these as they hold up well, I use for everyday to work in Veterinary Hops. on my feet all day, walking, weekend fun, etc.
I run 18-25 miles a week and got these as a reward for finishing a half marathon. These shoes were terrible, my body was hurting not even a mile into my run. My first run I made it two miles. They felt heavy and not cushiony. I figured they needed to be broke in, but after two weeks, they had to go back.

not for me
I usually wear the Asics Nimbus shoe, but the new model didn't work out. It was suggested that I try the Brooks Glycerin instead. I wore it a couple of weeks, but the leg and back pains were too much. Had to send them back. I ended up reverting back to a Nimbus shoe from last year.
Just not a good fit for me.
Stiff and Heavy
Headed out on a 4.5 miler, but one mile in, I wanted to take these off and run barefoot. The shoe is stiff and heavy. The arch also pressed on the ball of my foot causing my toes to sting and go numb. I would not recommend these shoes based on my experience with them.
I was totally satisfied with the Glycerin 9 and the Brooks Glycerin performed perfectly during the SGK 3-day; no pain in my feet or leg joints at the end of each day of that event. Overall, the 9 was my favorite shoe & I expect the 10 to perform just as well!!

Lots of Cushion and more to offer
I have been a Soucony lover for years but decided to try these for a change and they are great. A bit heavier then the rides I have but the cushion and support makes up for it. Glad I took the risk and tried them, only wish that Brooks had more style and color like other shoes.

Not like the Glycerin 9 in padding
I wear these all the time except for hiking. They are less padded in feel than the glycerin 9, but they are comfortable and my orthotics fit in the shoe box without the glycerin's inserts so that is good. I'd love a more padded shoe but I don't think they exist.

Great Running Shoe
Wore the Glycerin 9 until they phased them out. I hate change and was skeptical to try the 10's. I have worn them for 2 weeks and absolutely love them. I am running more than ever and I haven't had any aches or pains. The shoes are fabulous!!

Love These Shoes!
I got these shoes to walk with EQUIP World Relay (look it up! :) and walked over 230 miles in them in 2 weeks. I got alternating shoes to keep my walking well... I love them!
I got home and my mom bought the same shoes!
Walking with EQUIP
My most favourite shoe ever!
These are the most comfortable shoes ever! They fit like a glove. It actually feels good to put them on. I have plantar fascitis and arthritis in my feet, and walking has become painful, but these are helping me get back in stride.
