As an old school runner (almost 40 years), I've been amazed at the minimalist running "boom". As far as I can tell, the only people that can wear those shoes are bio-mechanically perfect 5' 9" runners who weigh 135 lbs. An then there's the rest of us who have some or many flaws from flat feet (me) to bad knees, calfs etc. Well for the rest of us, these shoes are the best Ive tried lately. They are totally old school. Looking for zero drop?? not here. Looking for 9 oz slippers? nope. But if you are looking for a great fit and shoes that feel great at the bigging middle and end of a 15 mile run, look no further. There's almost nothing else on the market like them because smart shoe manufacturers know that minimalist is the flavor of the month. I did my research and I'm glad I found these shoes.

Arch support ouch
I was really excited to try the adrenaline 13 because of its and brooks great reputation and because my previous favorite shoe, the Saucony omni, has been drastically changed like most of the Saucony line to an 8mm offset which to me does not feed good to my back.
I was disappointed with this shoe however. The arch support on it is on the high side, compared to what I am used to. It pushes hard against my arch instead of lightly supporting it becoming uncomfortable after a short period. The shoe is also sort of rigid. It does seem like a well made shoe and has a nice fit and look otherwise. Unfortunately though, I have a low arch and the arch support is too aggressive for me. I ended up getting the NB 860v3, which so far is pretty good.
My Go To Shoe
I have been using the Adrenaline's since the 11th edition and have had multiple pairs. They have helped me avoid injury by providing the right type of support for me. I did compare the new 13's to other brands when I first saw them but stuck with the Brooks. They are comfortable for me and I've run 5 marathons with them so far. I do find the 13's to be slightly more comfortable than the 12's but with this version I have been using Lock Laces along with the shoe so that may be a factor. One thing I have noticed is the tread seems to be wearing out quicker with these shoes than the previous model. Whereas I used to be get about 400 miles per pair it looks like I may have to swap out these shoes just a little earlier, say 350 miles. Not such a big deal but when you go through 4-5 pairs a year it is almost an extra pair of shoes to buy.
Starting to grow on me
This was my first ever stability shoe, as I normally run in a cushioned shoe. Everyone I know seemed to running in Brooks so I decided to give them a try. Brooks dosent offer a whole lot for a wide foot runner so I took a gamble and tried the GTS 13 which comes in a 4e width, just so I could give Brooks a try. At first it seemed way to rigid, and a little snugg. After about a week just walking in them I must say that they are growing on me. Ive found them to actually fit the shape of my foot better than some of my past shoes, and the extra stability seems to help some gait issues. I think I just needed to get used to the stability factor. The real test will be to throw them into the mix on some runs, but they way it looks is that I may have found my new shoe.
Adrenaline GTS 13 weaker than GTS 12
I had switched to Brooks (GTS 12) after a bout with Plantar Fasciitis - and it worked. Ran through the pain (with treatment of rubs, that sock, and getting a great pair of shoes with custom inserts). The GTS 12 lasted a good 6-9 months and then did a mud run. The GTS 13 was then available. While it provided the same support, within 3 months the pinky (pinkie sp?) toe area had worn through on the mesh. Thought it might be a fluke, but happened on second pair as well (and that was my walking pair). Done with Brooks, reading the GTS 14 has the same symptoms.
Run for fun
Adrenaline's are great training shoes for runners who need support. Cushioning in the toe box has been inconsistent but overall they are a tough shoe to beat. I run 30-40 miles a week and mostly participate in 5k races. I find the adrenaline GTS is also great for interval training on the track. The shoe provides solid cushion and support and are not as heavy as other trainers. I often road race in them as well. I used to buy them for the value but the recent versions, are fairly expensive.
This shoe is an ok shoe. When I got it I tried it on and it fits well but buyer beware, follow RoadRunner's advice and buy a 1/2 size up. The shoe in itself is built sturdy but the heel is rock hard for having gel in it. I had to put some gel heel cups to mitigate the impact felt. With a little break in the shoe will work for the little running I do. I am 6'1" 220lbs and the shoe is sturdy for me but if you are a smaller/lighter person the shoe will probably be too bulky and heavy. Hopefully after I break them in they will feel better on my feet.
GREAT SHOE !!!!!
I am training for a marathon so I run long distances. Right now I am up to 18 miles and the shoes fit makes all the difference when your feet start to swell and you feel every little thing in your feet. I haven't had any problems with the fit or the comfort or the performance of these shoes. In fact, I put them right on and ran 14 miles and never needed a break-in period. They provide a soft landing even after 18 miles. These are by far the best running shoe I ever puchased.
terrible version, having used prior ones
I have been running in Brooks Adrenaline for 10 years and have loved this shoe. I will not however be buying another one. The GTS13 have an unacceptably poor wear, compared to prior versions. The upper looks brand new when after a few weeks the tread on the heel is gone. I have NEVER had this problem before and have not changed my running pattern. Thankfully I have been able to get a pair of GTS12s to give me time and research another brand. Brooks just lost a really loyal customer.
I have worn the Adrenaline GTS line for years and love it; however, the last two versions 11 and 12 were noticeably harder and did not have the cushioning of previous versions that I loved. Thank goodness that have put back the cushioning in the GTS 13 and along with the stable support and perfect fit I am thrilled. I wear these shoes for everything because that are so comfortable and supportive and fit so well. It is very hard for me to find any shoes that fit well. I am female but wear the men's shoe because it fits better. I love that the shoes come in different widths (I wear 2E) and I really appreciate that the shoe consistently comes in a good basic blue and white/grey color. Overall Fantastic!

Good for the most part
This was my second pair of these shoes and previously had the 12's. Very comfortable shoe, they breath well, and overall they have been good shoes. The only disappointment for me was when I retired my first pair and started using them to wear occassionally. I noticed I had a tear in the fabric mesh on the inside of the shoe right next to my big toe on both shoes. The 12's I didn't have this problem and so I'm sure it is due to the design. With these shoes I retired them earlier than I normally would as well and so hopefully the 14's have improved the design to eliminate this
Like to run
These are WAY better than the 12s. I had several pairs of the 11s and they were great. I was disappointed with the 12s, so I went to the Mizuno Wave Inspires. They looked great and were light, but didn't fit my feet well. I took advantage of the 90-day return policy, and got the Adrenaline 13s. They are awesome. I can't believe how comfortable they are and how well they fit my feet.
Still a Nice Ride
Prety nice, supportive ride and a little lighter than the cushier support models. For me, the toe box is fine. I don't feel my forefoot sliding around like it might do more in a neutral shoe. Go one size up; not just a 1/2 size from your regular shoe. And I love this blue/lime color combo I only found here on RRS. Adrenaline is still Brooks' GTS for runners who only pronate a little and want that support without all the extra shoe weight.
Love to Run
New and improved model
I use these shoes to provide support for running and to rectify my pronate gait. I had the previous model and some immediate contrasts were that this model felt lighter and offered firm but well balanced support.
The laces were unusually short, in contrast to the previous model, which were uncharacteristically long, which I found odd.
Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Favorite Brooks shoe
I bought these for my husband. these are his comments. He loves this model of shoe and has ran in them for over a year now, switching from Nike brand. He loves the support and cushioning which he needs because he pronates and he needs more cushion for pads of feet for the long runs. He is training for a full marathon and these shoes are serving him well. He loves them!Q
Really like these shoes
I walk/jog 25 to 35 miles a week, so far these shoes have felt comfortable, have good cushion and support. I really do like these shoes, I bought two pair, one blue and the other red. I switch every day. I weigh 160 so these shoes have the support I need for my weight. Highly recommend you try these shoes if you are in the weight range specified for these shoes. Check the dog to be sure.
It can't be the shoes can it?
Prior to trying these shoes I was a pretty loyal Adidas fan and had worn out 3 pair within 2 years and had run some good races and bad. The two HMs that I ran in these shoes were both 1:43, beating my previous best by nearly 5 minutes. Now, I would be tempted to attribute this to many things including amount of training. However, I actually cut down my training time while wearing these. I think it is the relatively light weight and nice fit that really helped. I'd buy these again and am ready to do so.
I had been on Asics GT 2170 for the last 6 months where I felt very good, I am a heavy runner 6'3 and 216 pounds, my body mass requires cushion, control and stability. I like to train 4 to 5 times per week with an average of 25 miles per week. I don´t feel any pain and these shoes help me to improve my times and speed in long runs. These were the shoes I were looking for.Yesterday I ran very fast in my last mile and the response of the shoes were very good.
Quality is less that it used to be
I tried to replace the same shoe that I liked very much, unfortunately this shoe, the same size 12.5 is smaller. I wear a 12 and I was told to buy the shoes a half size larger (in both cases). When I put the soles together however, the new shoe is a little smaller. Also there is less room in the shoe itself. Sorry, but it doesn't seem built as well as its predecessor. I guess I will return it and get another half size larger? Or maybe I'll ask for another shoe that's comparable. Sorry.
I bought this shoe when it was first released in stores. For some reason there was a delay in being able to purchase this update online. The Adrenaline GTS 13 is a great update to the Adrenaline line. The fit and feel of this shoe is similar to previous styles, but the flexibility seems better. I run in these shoes 4-5 times a week for a total of 30+ miles a week, and they have held up beautifully. I will be sure to purchase another pair of this shoe when mine wear out, whether it be this model or an updated one.
Great shoe, just be mindful of orthotics
Purchased the Adrenaline GTS 13 to explore an option outside Asics, and although I like the shoe it does not run true to size with my orthotic. 10.5 in Asics GTS 1000 with orthotic were perfect, 10.5 in Brooks Adrenaline is a little small and the orthotic rubs the front of the shoe.
Comfortable, good cushion, great to wear all day
I am 65 6'1' and weight 220# and wear a 13 1/2 4E and run about 12 - 15 miles per week. I have tried 6 or 7 other brands and could not find the right fit. R R staff said the just began to carry Brooks and suggested I give this shoe a try, size 14 4E, PERFECT. The other brands were all purchased from R R and you can't go wrong with their return policy. Great staff, prices and return policy the only place to purchase shoes.
Best of the best!
I've been a Brooks fan since the 70's, now relegated to walking primarily, but Brooks continues to produce a superior product. This particular model is the best fitting and most comfortable of the many pairs I have owned. Definitely well suited for those of us in the heavier weight category (250 lb. range). No cons to report, just hope the newer version maintains the all around great features.
Runner at heart
Great Shoe, Good Return to what works...
These are the second shoes I bought when I started running 10 years ago. I have used the Brooks Trance for awhile, but wanted to return to a little more flexible shoe. These were a great choice. Awesome shoe, awesome color. All around a great update to a good line of shoes.

The Adrenaline 13 shoes are more flexible and definitely have more cushioning than the Adrenaline 12. I found the version 12 shoes to have very little cushioning. I did confirm with Brooks that they added 2 mil of material to version 13, and you can defintitely tell the difference. Version 13 has the same fit and stability one would expect from a quality Brooks shoe like the Adrenaline. I ran 4 miles out of the box and they very enjoyable!
Extreme Comfort and Support
Marathon training 40 to 60 mile/week. Had several GTS 12s and was relatively happy. The first 13 I got was incredibly flexible and comfortable for a ten miler out of the box. Love this shoe as it provides decent pronation support, cushioning and flexibility while not being overly heavy.
Light on the foot
I use this sneaker when I do my runs of 3-8 plus miles. This sneaker feels like a feather on my foot. Much lighter feel than the ounces that it weighs. Brooks brand is currently the only Brand I run in after trying others. I like this running shoe a lot. My personal favorite is the Ghost line. Try them both and see, which one you like best.
Light But Stable
This is my second pair of Brooks after years in another brand. I have a wide foot and the comfort and support is there for a pair of legs that have ran for over 45 years. I know very quickly if a pair of shoes are working for me and these are really great.
jury still out.
Now to be fair I'm coming off running from the pure flows so this was markedly heavier and felt clunky at times. That being said I'm also running coming back from injury so the heel an hip pain could just be bad form.
I love these shoes but have some issues
I love these shoes. It is the first running shoe I have bought where I did not feel that I was wearing "Frankenstein" shoes. Being on over-pronator, my shoes in the past have had thick soles and looked very large. These shoes are stylish, comfortable, and light. I would recommend these shoes to my friends.
