I got these shoes in February 2014 to train for my first marathon in June 2014. I wore Nikes for three half marathons in 2013 because they fit best, but I think my feet and/or stride changed, so I switched back to Brooks.
I love the slanted lacing, which does wonders in keeping the top of my foot comfortable. I also love that the tongue is attached on the inner side of the shoe, so no wiggly tongues! The first few times I ran in these shoes, my arches rubbed, but my feet adjusted and I'm so glad they did!
My marathon training went great, as did my marathon race day. I've logged about 350 miles in these shoes, and my Nike running app tells me it's time to get new ones, but I'm waiting til after my second marathon in early October 2014 to get new shoes so I don't have to endure an expedited break-in period for new shoes before race day. I will 99% get these shoes for my next pair, maybe in a different color for fall and winter!
too structured, stiff, high heeled
I have loved my Brooks Pure Connect shoes for several years now but as I am getting older, I wanted to try just a bit more cushioning. The website led me to Pure Cadence, but when I tried them on, I found them to be way too structured, stiff, high heeled. I like (and believe in) a more minimalist shoe, to connect all of me to all of my run, enable a mid foot landing, and avoid injury (which I had plenty of when I wore stability shoes to "correct" my flat feet and overpronation!). When I returned these shoes to my local Roadrunner store, the folks there understood exactly what I wanted and immediately dialed me into me the Pure Flow. They feel perfect, cant wait to try them on the road.

Woo hoo cadence3 's for you
Very happy with the pure cadence...there is a difference compared to the pure flow the ride was too soft and I felt as though I could not pick up speed. So I had to exchange for this pure cadence 3. I didn't think I needed any stability but the pure cadence 3 gives you just a little to keep your for from wobbling on the pavement. The sole has a combination of flat and round pod type pods on the sole. Shoes bend well, aren't stiff, The shoe has a snug wrap around the arch. Enough toe wiggle room. I like them so much I just bought another pair, 2 weeks after purchasing the first.!!!!! A nice semi soft ride. Try them this model may be for you good luck and happy running!
Wider than I expected
After much research, I thought the Pure Cadence would be the shoe for me. Unfortunately, it has not been as comfortable to run in as my Pure Connects. After putting 600 miles on my Pure Connects, I felt it was past time to break in some more running shoes. The color schemes for the connects were just terrible or I couldn't find my size, so I went with the Pure cadence. I sized up 1/2 size but because of the wider toe box, I no longer have good fore foot support. They are light weight. I will be going back to the Pure Connects as soon as I can get my hands on them.
Great shoe-not as good as the first
I absolutely loved the first edition of this shoe. I never had a bad run in them. I got the PC3 in the same size as my other pair (8), and had to exchange for a 7.5 b/c the length was way off. The. 7.5 fit well except it is narrow in the toe box. I wore them for a short 3 mile road run and both my feet were numb/tingling half way into it. I adjusted the laces to be a little looser for my next run and this helped, but I still had some discomfort. I'm still undecided about keeping them. Going to give them another go this weekend.
I really like this Pure Cadence 3 shoe. I tried to purchase another pair (I am glad I have 2) and unfortunately I can not get my size. It is a shame the Brooks company changed the line of the Pure shoes, now they are like all other shoes out there. The fit is great, the foot stays in place. The arch support feels good too. And enough toe wiggle room. I like the taco tongue, the tongue does not shift and is comfortable. Well I only hope Brooks rethinks Pure Cadence 5 .....

Great shoe, like the first pure cadence!
Love that these are like the first generation pure cadence! I read the reviews and they were true. I didn't buy the pure cadence 2 because it felt so odd but these are great so far. Light weight, better control for pronation (1's made my feet feel like they we're forcing them to roll outward, even though I love that shoe). These keep the foot flat and in line. Wide toe box but I don't mind that. I wear my regular preferred athletic insoles in them for extra padding.

these are amazing
These are amazing! After running a marathoon in the wrong shoes in october and realizing at mile 20 that I really needed a solid pair of stability shoes to control my pronating, I bought these the day they came out. After running about 10 miles in them, I have to say brooks did an awesome job! Smooth ride, great control, and hey, they are pink and gray and pretty cute for being great shoes! If you are a fast distance runner with high arches and need pronation control, these were built for you!

aaahh! just like the first ones....
I had the first version of these and ended up buying 3 diffrent colors. When the II's came out I did not like them looks or feel. I read the reviews for the III's and gave it a shot and so glad I did. They are great! My stride feels smoother, the shoe is light and after my run my whole body feels great. I will be buying another pair for my IM training, So excited and hope they don't change anything on the next version so I don't have to keep trying other sneakers.
Order 1/2 size up
The sizing suggestion is that you order 1/2 size larger. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that until after my order had been placed. I just received these shoes and I must say that they feel a little to small. There's a little pressure on one of my big toes. I normally use an orthotic insert, which fits comfortably, but even without it the shoe feels a little "short". On a positive note, it fit likes a glove and I LOVE the color. I just ordered a 1/2 size larger, I'm not giving up on this shoe!
LOVE this shoe-makes my feet happy! :-)
I love these shoes. I have always loved Brooks but have to say these are the best. I have Plantar fasciitis and these give me enough support but not so much that it irritates my arch. They fit my foot perfect from the toe box all the way to the way it cradles my heel. I am looking forward to my next pair - hopefully they will make them in more colors.
Always on the run

Brooks PureCadence - I like it!
I put in about 20-25 miles a week with a combination of running (HIIT) and walking. These shoes wear well. They are fun to run in - very lightweight and responsive. My only complaint is the band that runs across the instep - it felt very tight for the first month or so. This may not be an issue for everyone, as I use orthotics. I've just ordered my second pair.
Brooks Purecadence 3 - 2nd Pair
This is my second pair of these shoes. I'm trying to move towards a zero drop shoe, but keep coming back to these (4mm drop). I love the roomy toe box, the cushioning. They wear well (much better than the Kinvara's I've also worn). I like the dark blue color. In fact the color selection is my main gripe. Can't they come up with something less pink or less white?
Good with Reservations
I bought these bc my favorite shoes (other brand) wear out too quickly. I usually wear a neutral minimal shoe and was looking for a little more support in the arch area. These have done the trick. They feel too tight on my high instep, but it hasn't affected my running. Be prepared to buy new laces bc these are way too short. Overall, they're working well for me.
Great running shoe
I ran in Asics DS for 15 years and got tired of the changes which were not positive so thought I would give Brooks a try. Pure Cadence is perfect for me (performance stability). As long as they don't radically change over the years, this will be my shoe.
I have tried several types of brooks shoes (including transcend and glycerin) and these are my favorite running shoes. They are lightweight but stable. Very sound running shoe and investment. I hope this style never goes out!!
Super comfy run shoe
This run shoe is extremely comfortable, lightweight, and streamlined. I use for light running and plyometrics (cross trainers don't offer enough stability). Only con, they are not designed for what I use them for.
I'm training for a marathon, so I am on my second pair. I really like them, the attached tongue and side lacing take a bit to get used to, but now I have a hard time adjusting back to regular shoes. Light and well cushioned.

LOVE these shoes!
LOVE these shoes! This is my second pair - had pure cadence 2. Controls my pronation and has great arch support. Updates from the 2 are awesome! Very smooth ride and lightweight.
Love the shoe
Use the shoe for cross fit . Would like it in black. No pink and purple.
