I bought these after a failed attempt at running comfortably in the Asics gel Kayano's. The Asics ran me $170 plus and they injured me on the first run! I brought them back and tried on these Ravenna's and was shocked at how much more comfortable they were than the Asics and how much cheaper they were as well.
I run 3 days a week and average about 8 miles plus per day. These Ravenna's handle my workload and keep me comfortable and stable run after run. I am a big guy, 6'9, 220 lbs and I alternate pairs during the week but at these prices you can afford more than one pair compared to the Asics!
I cannot tell you how comfortable these sneakers are! I tried on dozens of pairs of sneakers and these Ravenna's were by far the best! Do your research, the most expensive sneaker might not work for you and I found that out the hard way with the Asics Kayano's.
Choose Brooks - great sneakers, great price, and great looks as well!
I own the PureFlow and PureCadence models as my every day wearers and absolutely love those as well! Brooks does it right!
Light and fast
I run about 30 miles a week (Male 5'8" 160 lbs.)and I have been running in the Wave Inspire and A6 GT series for the better part of 10 years. I have been looking for shoes a little closer to the ground and less bulky but not minimalist. The Ravenna is exactly what I was looking for. The forefoot is wide but not sloppy and the 8 MM drop is lower but not an extreme change from the traditional shoes I am used to wearing. The Ravenna felt good right out of the box and they feel fast and supportive without being restrictive. These shoes along with the Saucony Guide 7 have made me keenly aware that for a long time I've been running in shoes far more supportive than I require. I am a convert to the Ravenna, its truly a great shoe.

2:45 Boston in these
I run 80-100 miles a week and rotate multiple shoes. I haven't run in previous Ravenna versions but decided to give them a try. Loved them right out of the box. Nice soft feel while still responsive. They aren't super light but feel fast. I ran a 2:45 Boston time and would run another marathon in them...or even a half marathon. My previous marathon shoe was the Adidas energy boost...but V2 gave me blisters on my arch due to the overlays so I needed a new option.
My only complaint is their durability...I think I have about 300 miles on them and the cushioning is already suspect. They're ok now for runs up to 10 miles but no further. They are less expensive than many other models though...and will definitely buy again.
Nice Light but Cushioned Trainer
Wanted a slightly more cushioned yet still light weight training shoe. Have been running in the Mizuno Inspire 10, (2E width). Overall the revenna's a good all around training shoe. I have a D+ width (left foot big toe slightly longer/wider than the right) and have a tough time finding an exact fit. The D felt too tight on the left foot; however, the 2E width is slightly loose in the mid foot. Ended up in the 2E and lace appropriately to work it out. Training for a 13.1 and have enjoyed the first ~50 miles in the revenna. I'm 5'9" ~152lbs. Will also keep running in the Inspire 10 and 11 when available as they're slightly lighter on race day, esp. 10Ks.
Great cushioning and stability
I went into RRS store to get shoe dog analysis after finding my favorite ASICS just weren't comfortable. Recommended that I go to a shoe with more stability and got an ASICS recommendation and this Brooks (a brand I had never worn) shoe as a recommendation. I tried both on and found the Brooks to fit like a glove. Bought one pair and tried for a month of 4-mile runs 3X a week. Liked it so much, went back and got another pair of these and one Ravenna 5 nightlife (great when I run in evening). I enjoying my running again!! I'm 5'7", 140 lbs. and 68 so I'm pretty easy on the shoes even though I run on pavement; they are wearing well.
Never too old to run

another home run!!!
recently started training for my fifth full marathon. i was very satisfied with the ravenna 4. it was my primary shoe for long runs last year(2013). with newer versions of running shoes you always wonder if the updates will deliver.out of the box i did a 6 mile tempo run and the ravenna 5 didn't disappoint. i am thoroughly satisfied with the improvements. it is noticeably lighter and more responsive. the improved flexibility along with the plush cushioning allows for a very smooth ride. i will use them as a daily trainer for long runs and tempo runs. definitely a faster shoe than the ravenna 4.
A great running shoe!
After going through the whole Shoe Dog Experience (spending about an hour in the store) I finally purchased this Ravenna shoes. I honestly believe I ended up with the perfect shoe for my marathon training. I had suffered before from IT band syndrome and plantar fasciitis with other running shoes, and with these Brooks Ravenna I haven't experienced any slight discomfort. The shoes feel light yet very supportive (I'm an over-pronator). I don't see me using another shoe going forward.
Mexico City, Mexico
I run about 25 miles a week. These shoes are light, comfortable and have a conservative color scheme. I am normally an Asics wearer but my size was not available when I reluctantly bought these. I am definitely happy with these shoes. I would like a little more cushioning in the heel but they are okay as they are.
Back to Brooks
I run primarily on the road 12-15 miles a week. I went back to New Balanace for my last pair of shoes and was very disappointed on many levels - too narrow, wore out too fast.
These shoes fit and feel great, hopefully they are durable and last a few hundred miles.
Keeps getting better
Used every version of the Ravenna and they keep improving. Great comfort and support. Highly recommended for the moderate overpronator. The upper is super comfortable with no hot spots. The midsole has a ton of cushion but offers great support.

Excellent Stability Runner
I pronate when running, and at 210 lbs, I need good cushion support. This is my 3rd season of marathon and half marathon training in the Ravenna's and I am totally satisfied with performance and style.
I'm 72 yrs old, go the the gym 5 days a week and shoot baskets for an hour. The Orthotic insert is great for me and the perfect fit of the shoe makes stopping & changing direction quite easy.
Very good value shoe
I bought both the Ravenna 5 and 6, and so far they feel the same. The 6 has updated styling and colors so buy that if you like the cosmetics. Otherwise buy the 5 while they last. Size up a full size over your street shoe.
Running on Clouds
Bought these shoes for my son for a 10K. He is primarily a body builder but runs on pavement 2-3 times a week. Last pair I bought him were Brook's Adrenaline. I always trust "Shoe Dog's" recommendation. He is very happy!

Comfortable airy shoe
These breath much better than my Adistar Boosts and are almost as cushiony.
Much more flexible and less clunky than the Transcend.
I've only had them for three weeks so I don't know if they'll wear well.
I have 350 miles on my first pair and liked them, so ordered another. Probably can go more, they still look new, but I am cautious. I am rotating the old ones in once and a while. Every one is different, but these work great for me.
Exactly what I expected!
Upgraded from Ravenna 3 models and these feel fantastic. Everything I ever wanted in a shoe. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a comfortable shoe that performs and looks great.
San Antonio, TX
terrific lightweight trainer
Well cushioned without sacrificing road feel (not mushy), the Ravenna strikes a nice balance providing some support and stability without being too rigid. Shoes feel fast.
A bit wider than the Ravenna 4's which is a good thing. A good solid shoe. I run 60-80 monthly miles at a pace of 7:45. A bit more cushion in the heel and they'd be perfect.
Light on the feet, soft on the sole
These shoes are very durable and available
In nice colors. My knees hasn't bother me since I switch to these shoes. This is my 5th pair of Ravenna!
Palos verdes, CA
Light and breezeee
I have to buy men's shoes because the colors available for women are not appealing. NO MORE PINK!!! LOL I LOVE BROOKS
San Antonio, TEXAS
Still the right choice and delivers.
For the buck this shoe delivers. It's a smooth ride with enough cushion to make it like you are running on cotton balls.

Love this shoe, very lightweight, perfect fit.
