This is the only pair of shoes that I have ever worn that didn't cause me any type of pain...hip, knees, feet... everytime I tried another pair, I always came limping back. I think they are plenty roomy enough where they need to be, but I will admit, I hate that they are so clunky and heavy. That said, I think it is a small price to pay to be able to run mile after mile without pain.

My physical therapist recommended I get this shoe because I was having trouble with my IT band. However, the shoe is heavy, clunky, and did nothing for my IT band problem. The toe box is too narrow, I get blisters when I run more than 5 miles. I'm trying the Trance and keeping my fingers crossed that they work better than these did.

Wow! What a difference a great shoe makes! I am a beginning runner with flat, flexible feet that severely overprontates. My knees or feet do not hurt anymore after a run. I have tried Saucony Grid Hurricane 6 and Mizuno Wave Renegade but Ariel 04 is superior to them all.

I returned this shoe because it was too narrow and tight in the midfoot and toe area. I bought the Addiction instead (that's my usual shoe). I think the Addiction is roomier up front.

I'm large framed and weigh 180 and LOVE these shoes. They are great for wide/flat feet. No more knee pain, no more arch pain. GREAT shoe
