5'10" 160, 30-40 miles per week, sub 3hr marathoner, 17 min 5K, high arches. I LOVE these shoes. I'm on my second pair, put 330 miles on the first. Definitely different fit from Brooks of the last 10 years - but I really like them. They make me feel like I 'want' to pick up the pace because it just seems to feel good to put these shoes through their paces. The great thing for high arches like mine is that the platform on these shoes have wide cushion in the forefoot so I don't feel like my feet are sliding off the outside of the midsoles. One of the best shoes I've run in over the last 12 years (and I go through about 4-5 pairs a year).

I really wanted to like this shoe and gave it every opportunity, but it really didn't like my outer toes. Very abusive towards them. Never had that problem before, as my outer toes are generally very well behaved.

Its alright. Enough room in the toe box for a wide foot, but its very stiff on the front of the foot. They feel heavy to me but im used to running in a pair of asics that are a good 3-4 ounces lighter than these are. Over all its not too bad for cross training. I wasnt particularly happy in the racing

5'10" 155lbs high arched supinator with a narrow foot. 10 miles out of the box, followed by 15, 18 and a marathon. Cushioning is sufficient, fit and feel are outstanding. Would recommend to anyone looking for cushioning in a light, fast shoe.

I'm a 150-lb sub-three hour marathoner. I was running in Brooks Defyance shoes for high mileage days and I wanted something with great cushioning but lighter weight and more flexibility. I'm a straight neutral-gait guy... Well, this shoe rides very well. A lot more cushion-y than you might be used to in Brooks. I want to give it give stars, but the outsole wore out within a month after running in them. Seriously, I ran it down to the midsole! I didn't even get 200 miles on 'em! So until they make the outsole last longer, I can't give the shoe five stars. Just beware if you think you're getting the usual Brooks longevity. I went back to the Adidas Boston Classic after this one. I mean, seriously, if I'm gonna wear out a shoe within a few weeks, I don't have to spend as much money.

I normally wear the Asics Cumulus, but I am training in the Brooks Ghost for my upcoming marathon. I will be going back to the Cumulus. The Ghost doesnt support and cushion my foot as good as the Cumulus. The Ghost doesnt promote a forefoot strike as much either. All that said they are a decent marathon shoe.

I've been wearing these exclusively and think they are great. The fit isn't as good as the Defyance, but I've had no problems with hot spots or heel slippage...and I am super picky on shoes with heel slippage. Heel cushioing is excellent, forefoot cushioning is good, and the ride is smooth. This Mogo stuff really does work.

I've run the last few years in Asics Cumulus and thought I'd make the switch after trying a pair of the Brooks Ghost on and taking them for a 'test run'. First thing I noticed was less cushioning than the Cumulus, which I was looking for. After having run in these for the past 4 months, I really like them. They're light and provide a decent amount of road/trail feel.

This shoe felt great until I ran in it. Had terrible 2nd and 3rd tarsal pain after only 3 miles. Almost like my circulation was cut off to those toes. I loosend the laces (too loose really)and still had the same pain. I also have a pair of Brooks ST-III that give me similar problems but not as bad. I thought this might be a break in issue but since nobody else has reported this problem I'm exchanging them before it's too late. I think I just don't have Brooks feet.

On my second pair and I still love them. The midfoot fit is snug and the flexibility is second to none. Love the cushioned forefoot as it suits midfoot striking. Save your money on Newtons and purchase these!

I just bought a pair of Ghosts at the marathon expo this past weekend and then ran the half marathon in them. I love them. Great cushion, great responsiveness, great fit. It's the first pair of Brooks I've ever owned. I think I've been missing out. Overall the best shoe I've had besides the Asics Gel Nimbus 7. I would definitely reccomend these to any neutral runner.

Man, what a fantastic trainer! I have been upset bigtime with Brooks for discontinuing the Burn. I found the Ghost at a Sun and Ski Sports store and I must say it's a great trainer. Seven miles out of the box with zero issues. Firm and responsive like the Burn with slightly more cushion and no lateral arch pad. I still need a lighter weight trainer but this shoe is a winner so far.

5'9" 145 lbs.///Fits snug, and mild cushioning. If you like the old Mizuno Wave Precision 6's or 7's then you will love this shoe. Great heal-toe transition, and the forefoot seems like it's even more cushioned than the Precisions. Responsiveness is okay, mainly due to the fact that it's a very flexible shoe. Designed more for runners who have quick turnover (who therefore don't need the energy returned) or runners who have mid to forefoot strike. Shoes run small, so you may need to buy 1 full size up. The segmented and sprung forefoot is not for everyone. Walking around it may feel like you have marbles under the balls of your feet. However, when running, the segmented forefoot is compressed, so the marble underfoot feeling goes away. I have ran 130 miles in these, and the cushioning and sole feels like new. Please try these shoes at a store that lets you run on their treadmill before buying. The curved last, flexibleness, segmented forefoot, and sprung heel is not for everyone.

5'8", 160 lbs, 30-50 miles per week, custom orthotics. Tried the other Brooks neutral and light stability shoes, have about 150 miles on the Ghost, and they are a totally different shoe than your usual Brooks. Yes - lightweight, good cushioning, and slightly snugger than other Brooks. Like one of the other reviews notes, this shoe really just lets your foot move naturally and doesn't interfere. Awesome shoe.

As a normally Wave Rider runner I decided to take up Brooks recent promotional 90 day trial/return offer and try these. With only two 6 milers to date, this is an early review but so far I think it compares well with the WR 10. I'm 6', 135-140 lbs neutral runner who runs 35-40 mi/wk and races frequently . I like the sprung last and upturned toe which is new to me. It seems to ease the strain on the toes during toe off. As a mid to forefoot striker I also appreciate the lower heel as well as the more than adequate forefoot cushioning. The shoe is light and quite responsive with excellent heel to toe transition, just a little bouncier than I'm used to in the Wave Rider. This shoe is 1/2 size shorter than my usual size in WRers and Pegasus so I had to move up 1/2 size. How well they hold up is to be determined. Finally, they're FAST!

Well done, Brooks! Easily the best shoe to compete against Wave Rider, Cumulus, et al. Snug fit, excellent transition, and the sprung last is great. Excellent light weight trainer.

I really liked this shoe and it is by far my favorite running shoe from Brooks. Just when I thought I found the right shoe for me, two issues emerged: 1. the right shoe gave me a terrible blister on the outside of my big toe; and 2. the ball of my left foot was quite sore after a leisurely 6 mile run which is not an uncommon occurence for me in older shoes. I am sending them back, but with somewhat mixed emotions. In my opinion, this shoe, for the right person, is nearly perfect.

Liked the heel and midfoot fit--toe box was a bit narrow for my liking, however. Liked the relatively low heel but as described in an earlier review, the toe sprung last has an odd feeling to it. The metatarsal area is greatly cushioned then it "drops off" for lack of a better term as it curves upward. Would have stuck with it but the forefoot did not accommodate my feet.

This is a different feeling shoe than most Brooks, in my opinion. And it feels different walking around vs running. It is a light, relatively minimal shoe - almost in between a racing flat and performance shoe. I find w/ the MoGo midsole you HAVE to break it in, but it has a firm-cushioned, responsive feel. I don't know that I could wear this as an everyday shoe, but it should be a nice 1/2 marathon to marathon shoe.

Like other shoes with a sprung last (i.e. slightly upturned toe) they feel a little odd to walk around in. The heel feels firm and the fit of the arch is very snug while walking. These feel fantastic when running and allow your feet to do their own thing without the shoe interfering in any way. Heel cushioning is excellent, and the generous forefoot cushioning make for a smooth and pain free ride. Highly recommended for neutral and efficient runners!

Out of the box and back in the box. Just walking with them on I can feel the shoe working against me. The toe box seems to go slightly up which I find to not work for me being a midfoot striker. It had good cushion and comfort so I gave it 3 starts.
