I haven't worn any other shoe since I found these 7 years ago. I used them to run the Badwater 135 mile ultramarathon and many other ultras and marathons. They work great with my orthotics and have almost eliminated my blister issues. I even hiked to Machu Picchu in them.
Great shoe - very comfortable
This is my first pair of Brooks and I LOVE this shoe. I have run in Asics, Saucony and Nike in the past. Unfortunately, all the updates of the shoes I used to love leave something to be desired, so I gave this one a try. Felt really comfortable right out of the box. I sized it up 1/2 size as recommended. This shoe just hugs my foot and is light weight. Have run about 30 miles in these so far, and no issues whatsoever. I have to agree with the previous poster - I really don't know what the tongue thing is all about. I was trying to see what people are talking about and maybe it's the stitch on the inside of the tongue...? In any case, that didn't cause any irritation on my foot (longest run was 12 miles so far). I am an avid runner, am currently training for a marathon and am going to take this shoe out for a 20-miler this weekend. I am 5'8", 135 lbs and wear orthotics. I have nothing negative to say about this shoe and would absolutely recommend it.
Have been buying this shoe for years
I wear this shoe everyday for marathon training and average between 40 and 70 miles per week. It holds up great. I've worn it on all types of surfaces--track, pavement, trails--and it has performed well. During college, I was a track athlete and did workouts on both indoor and outdoor tracks in it. It's also durable enough to hold up on rough trails. I've literally probably purchased 20+ pairs of this same shoe over the years.

Very comfortable running shoes
Im a NB person but I wanted to try something different. I have low arches, wide feet, mild pronation and have plantar fascitis and use othodic inserts. I was shopping around since my last pair of NB is wearing out and needed a new pair before running season kicked in. Most of my purchases are based on reviews and this shoe had a lot of recommendations. I was very surprised how comfortable and light is shoe was. Im breaking it in on my treadmill first before I take it out on the streets. Im normally a 6 1/2, but went a size up to a 7 1/2 due to my socks and orthodic inserts. My only thing that I dont like about the shoe is that the laces are too short. Once I loosened up the laces and put my orthodics in, I didnt have much lace to tie. It was not a big deal, just went back to RRS website and bought a couple of Xtra long laces and now im set.

I hope it holds up
I wore these Brooks a few years back but gave up because they wore out way to quickly. Around 200 miles and I am a light person. Switched to several other brands and nothing worked. Decided to try these again and I must say the Fit is so wonderful, I have been in them a little less than a month and I can already feel them breaking down!! So disappointed, was sure I found what will work. The fit is fantastic, my feet love being in them. I will order another pair right away....

Love these shoes
I run about 4 times a week generally. I purchased these shoes at the beginning of the summer and trained for a half marathon in them. I thought they were great overall - I liked them so much that I bought a second pair when they were on sale so I'll have a new pair when this one wears out. Very comfortable on my foot, although they do run about a half size too small (I originally purchased an 8.5, which I wear in almost everything else, but had to buy a 9 in these). They breathe nicely, aren't too heavy, and provide a good amount of cushioning for my slightly high arches and average width feet. The only problem I had with these was that on longer runs, the side of the insole would sometimes start to rub on the arch of one of my feet and cause an annoying arch blister. Because of that, I generally used these shoes for shorter runs (up to 6 miles) and used another pair for longer runs during my half marathon training. I did just buy a set of Road Runner insoles to try and fix this minor issue though, so hopefully this will no longer be a problem.
Decent overall stability shoe
I have worn the GTS in the past and I think they were a tiny bit bigger, these seem about 1/2 size smaller so order 1/2 size up. I run about 20-25 miles/week and this is a great stability shoe, I have a relatively neutral gait, but pronate with my left foot and these shoes are extremely comfortable. They also seem to have a nice amount of cushion.
Ode to my shoes - Master of my Wardrobe
As Elaine, from Seinfeld expressed the necessity for her muck hiking boots in the Himalayan as the "master of her wardrobe," these are similarly the case for avid marathoners and trail runners for the Brooks Adrenalin. They are so comfortable that even after first time usage, you'll be thrilled not to be suffering from any blisters or discomfort and also feel better on your knees and joints than the day before due to support and cushion. Highly recommended for regular runners on trail and road who put in long distances. Another nice perk - they are attractive enough for daily wear with jeans when they've exceeded their running limit. 5 stars. Cheaper than the gel kayanos and the bang is equally worth the buck!
Joy off rockcreek park
I mostly walk with these (about six miles a day plus errands) and they've been very comfortable. I have some knee issues and they provide all the cushioning and stability I need. I've had good luck with the Brooks Adrenaline series. I had models 5,6,7 and 8 but skipped 9 because when I tried it on it wasn't as comfortable. The 10, however, feels great. No complaints or cons that I've discovered. I actually ran in them a bit yesterday (first time jogging in years) and had no problems at all. Haven't worn them long enough to judge how durable they are and I'm not a fast runner and don't do anything for time, so I can't comment on how fast they are either.
Love this shoe
I liked how the shoe fit right out of the box. It's comfortable enough for me to run in and to wear running errands. I do need to wear arch supports though. The support it does have seems to flatten out quicker than normal. Overall though, great shoe!!
Double check the tongue!
I've only had them for two weeks and I love the shoes. They replaced the motion-control brand I had been wearing for years and are much lighter and comfortable. They also work well with my orthotics - no discomfort at all. Unfortunately, today when I finished my run, I saw blood on my foot. The tongue of the right shoe has a hard bump (maybe extra material that was not trimmed properly before assembly). It's right in the center and this bump dug into my leg as I ran, creating a cut.
If you buy the shoe, check for hard lumps in the tongue (see image). Other than that, it's a functional, comfortable and well-designed shoe, as well as reasonably priced.
My Go-To Shoe!
I have been running in the Adrenaline for about a decade, and if Brooks ever stops making this model, I'll probably have to retire. I like a lightweight shoe but due to lower back/hip problems, need some stability (although not very much). I also have a narrow foot, and with other brands/models had problems with too much toe room. The Adrenaline has been perfect for me; fits beautifully from heel to toe, is lightweight enough to use for tempo/speed runs, and provides just enough stability. My only gripe was with an earlier model (8's, I think), the upper was too stiff and irritated my foot, but a Brooks rep that I spoke with told me that lots of people had complained and the problem had been corrected. (She was right!)

Just got these, so I can't comment on any durability factors as of yet, but I have worn them now for up to 8 miles on a run and they feel fantastic. The cushioning is great, but they also don't feel too soft - which let's me hope they will last that way for a good long time. The upper is much lighter feeling than my previous Adrenaline's. I give these a big thumbs up! The only thing I don't like is the portion of the upper on the inner arch area that has a design on it - looks kind of cheap and plastic-y? But at least it's on the inside and it's purely a cosmetic preference.
Brooks are best!
I wear these for running out on the road. I usually run 20-25 miles a week. I had taken a break from Brooks shoes but now I am back and never leaving. There were suprisingly lightweight and super easy to break in. I run all through the New England winter so I run in snow covered roads and they have great traction! My toes don't get cold as they have in other brands. I am also a pronater so I need some support and these feel great without adding all the bulk of a motion control shoe. Not only do they feel great but they look great as well!
By Far, The Best Running Shoe
I have been running long distances for years and worn many different types of running shoes. Brooks, and this running shoe in particular, is a wonderful brand. The biggest thing that stands out about this shoe is its durability. Brooks running shoes seem to last about twice as long as other running shoes I've tried. I also like that they feel light-weight. I have never had to "break them in" because I've never had a blister or developed a callous from these shoes (even brand new), which are problems I've had with past running shoes. By far, Brooks are the best running shoes around!
favorite running shoes!
These are my favorite running shoes! I am on my 3rd pair of them. My first run in these shoes was a 20 miler and my feet felt great the entire time! I have run 2 full marathons in Brooks Adrenaline shoes with minimal discomfort.
They do run a bit narrow, so I buy these shoes in the wide width.
The only downfall to thse shoes is that they don't seem to last as long as other brands I have run in. These seem to lose their cushioning at around 300 miles. The Saucony Omni 8 that I used to wear seemed to last a lot longer... but my feet never felt as good in them!
Supportive Shoe You Can Count On
These are FANTASTIC running shoes for people with lower arches who also need pronation control. They are durable, good-looking, and a reliable shoe that will make you devoted to wearing them for years! I normally wear shoes in a size 9 but have to order a size 10 in these shoes, so be aware of the sizing. I have fairly narrow feet but the medium width is perfect. I remove the insole and put in a Superfeet insole for extra cushion and control. Very effective! I have been wearing these for years and refuse to change. Even with a knee injury due to years of wear and tear, these shoes allow me to occasionally do a long run.
Love these- another Brooks success!
After trying these in a half size larger as suggested, they still felt too short in the toes especially after being on my feet all day. I normally take a size 8, but decided to up my next pair to a 9. Much better fit even though I have never purchased a size 9 in my life. These are super light weight, but supportive for my moderate pronating. Have also noticed this pair, and the one before it, leaving black dirt-like material on mats at the gym. Not sure if the rubber is coming off, but it's annoying to have to brush it away. Otherwise, love these comfy shoes and will continue to buy them until they are discontinued.
Battle Creek, MI
I looooove these shoes!!
These are the running shoes best I have owned! Super light/fast shoes....yet so comfy...I ran a 50 mile run...after my shoes had 400 miles on them...& my body & feet felt great! No blisters...no nothing! I even use these for trail running!
Let's wait and see
I have been running in Adrenalines for years and have always loved them. I bought the 10s and, like all the other Adrenalines, they were comfortable right out of the box! However....after only 1 month, on just the left shoe, all of the black tread material on the outside of the heel was GONE! Completely worn off, right down into the white cushioning material. This usually happens only after I have run in my shoes for at least 3-4 months, and it always happens to both shoes, not just one.
I returned the shoes as defective, got them replaced, and they are wonderful. However, I have only had them for 2 weeks, so I will be keeping an eye on whether these wear down as fast, or maybe I just got a defective pair.
Great Running Shoe
I run 3 to 6 miles on the treadmill or outside on the road. I'm prone to achille tendon soreness, and these shoes are perfect for it. They are not overly cushiony, so my achilles does not sink too low in the heal and get over stretched causing tenderness. Very light, confortable, no slippage in heal, and just an overall great fit. Great for the lightweight to medium weight runner. Awesome color finally. Nice not to be running in blue. I will definitely purchase these again for my next pair.

I like 'em!
These are my first pair of Brooks. I usually buy New Balance, but I wanted to try something different. They feel fantastic! And they are super light weight. I've never noticed any problem with a plastic piece on the tongue. In fact, I've never noticed any plastic on the tongue, so I'm not sure what the previous reviewers are talking about. I've put 31 miles on these shoes so far, training for my first half marathon. No problems yet!
Have never varied from this shoe
I was fitted with this shoe several years ago at a running specialty store. I have a nagging knee problem and needed professional assessment. I love this shoe so much that I have not tried anything different since. I'm currently training for a 1/2 marathon and have no feet issues at all. Some of my friends have terrible callouses, blisters, and toenail problems. I haven't experienced any of the above believe it is because this shoe fits so well. It does run small so I go a size up.
It's a keeper
This is a great shoe for people who like the cushion feel but do not want to be weighed down. It also makes a good beginners shoe. The amount of room in the toes is perfect and they keep tight around the midfoot for stability. Personally I perfer it to the new 11th edition for many reasons. For example, the 11th seems to run a half size smaller, and the tounge is too big. These shoes will not fail you. Need to run 26.2mi? Go ahead, no need to worry about sore feet after the race if you choose these shoes.
Love These Shoes!
I recently got into running, so this is my first real pair of running shoes. I average about 8-15 miles per week (on the road), and I've been very happy with the shoes. I wear them with Road Runner Cushions and they've helped curb some knee pain that I had been having.
I do feel like they are heavy or not, but I'm not sure that it is due to the shoes, the cushions, or the fact that I bought a size larger than my previous work out shoes.
Overall, I'm definitely satisfied.
First time Marathoner
I have narrow heels and had been using saucony and asics, wanted a lighter but supportive shoe for my first marathon and training. These have been perfect in size narrow & half size up from my usual. I am mid-foot striker, slight pronation. Zero complaints. I run 40-50 miles/wk and ran on these for 5 months before they felt dead -- surprisingly durable. Now I use performance shoe for racing but still love these for training.
My new favorite!!!
The right equipment is the key to successful training, especially at a great price. I hadn't put that much thought into my shoes until I started running daily. The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10 was recommended to me by a friend. Thank goodness for my friend! I am running with ease and no pain. These shoes are lightweight and extremely stable. I cannot compare the GTS 10 to any other versions since this is my first pair, but I will continue to only wear Brooks Adrenaline! One more note, I did have to order 1/2 size up in this shoe.
Running Mom of 3
Great, light weight running shoe
This is a great shoe. I used to wear Asics Kayanos and was looking for a shoe that had better support and was much lighter...well I have found what I was looking for!
Have only put about 20 miles in the shoes so I cannot make a comment towards how they wear but they seem to be doing very well. They have great heal support and are very light.
Similar to other reviews, these shoes do run about a half a size small. I wore a 10.5 women's in my Asics and had to order a size 11 in these shoes.
Feels smaller than previous versions
I have been wearing the Brooks Adrenaline for several years now, starting with the GTS 8. I have always ordered a 9.5 but this time the shoe felt too short. I have long toes plus Morton's toe and really need forefoot cushioning and a wide toebox and these just did not seem as cushioned as previous versions. It could be that my feet have changed so I don't want to blame the shoe but I am trying a different shoe this time.
Great stability shoe!
I have owned two pair of these shoes. I have problems with pronation and plantar fascitis and these shoes hold up to keeping my feet healthy! The only 2 downfalls I see with these shoes are they don't seem to hold up to many miles (I typically get around 200 miles per pair before my feet start hurting)...I am currently training for a full marathon, so the miles add up quickly!
Also, there is only one color choice for those of us requiring wide width shoes.

I agree about the painful tongue. Thank goodness i noticed it in the store and didn't buy them. Very disappointing. Why do they do this to runners: the most obsessively routine people on the planet? I couldn't wear the 9 and now I can't wear the 10.

I really do not like this version because of the change in arch support. I have worn these for 9 years - been through almost every model. Some changes I've liked better than others, but I cannot wear the GTS 10. The arch hurts my feet - very uncomfortable! I was trying them on in the local running store and another girl who was trying them on at the same time said the same thing. I'm really bummed because I've never had another running sneaker compare. Nothing else protects against joint pain & shin splints like Adrenaline. Major bummer!

Love the cushion in this shoe. I have run in Adrenaline for many years -- the 10 is much better than the 9, but I agree with the tongue thing. It starts to hurt after 4 or 5 miles.

This version of the adrenaline is great. Lots of stability, lots of cushion, wider toe box, narrower heel. I used them on a 15 miler today and had no issues with any part of either foot. I just wish Brooks would go back to the softer stitched piece on the tongue rather than the plastic piece.

I normally wear the Adrenaline because it is the only shoe that seems to fit my narrow heal. I was excited to see a new shoe and actually liked the fact that is sits a little flatter because of my orthotics but was VERY disappointed when I tried them on and the shoe was considerably wider than the previous models.

Just purchased the adrenaline 10's yesterday but this wasn't my first adrenaline purchase. I have ran in the adrenaline 8's and 9's also. These shoes offer great support and fit. There great if you have shin splints like me because of there support. These shoes are great on the trails at the gym and just wearing them for fun. I highly recomend the adrenaline 10 and especially during there big sale. :D

So far, so good. These feel like a combination of Radius cushioning and Adrenaline support. Much more comfortable than the 9 version. I did have to go up a half size in the new ones, I guess because they are not as round in the toebox as the 9's. Did anyone else have to buy a bigger size?
