While training for half and full marathons you need some fluids and this pack goes as long as you can! Plus it has storage in the front that is so functional. Gels, food and even a 20 oz bottle can fit in each pocket. You can roll a baseball hat up and fit it in there too. This pack adjusts very well and even on the fly you can snug it up if you need. It is ultra comfortable and since it does not bounce you don't notice it on the run. This is a must have for long runs!
In love with a bag of water
I bought this hydration pack because I'm training for a marathon. I was using a hand held water bottle that was fine for shorter runs but once I go into double digit miles became cumbersome. This pack is wonderful, I've been using it for two weeks now and it holds plenty of fluids for a 20 mile run but doesn't weigh you down or move around. It stays put on your back. There are great storage pockets for snacks and sleeves on each shoulder strap that holds a smart phone right next to your ear so you don't need ear buds. I can hear my running app loud and clear. However, you will not be able to see the screen or use the touch screen through the mesh. Not an issue with me. Complaints, the two straps across the chest flap and can be annoying when pulled tight but very minor.

Great hydration pack!
This is a great pack for long distance running. Don't be fooled by the 70oz bladder, it is not as heavy as you may think. You can hear the water slosh around a bit when you run, but that isn't an issue for me because I listen to music when I run. Besides it good to let others around you know that you are there. There are many pockets for you to put your gels, phones, keys, etc. The bladder is also easy to pull out and clean.
However, there is one minor problem that I encountered. The D-rings that hold the shoulder straps to the pack are made of plastic and if your not careful when taking it off, they will bust. So just make sure your relax all your straps before taking it off so you don't bust them like me.
Definitely made with Marathoners in mind
Bought this to replace my Mule which isn't really for runners. This one was definitely made for runners and presumably made by a runner as well. The reservoir is enough for a 3+ hour run on 80+ deg high humidity weather. The pockets are big enough to carry 2 add'l bottles but that's overkill in my opinion. Better to refill somewhere than carry the added weight. Two liters is heavy enough. But don't fret, that added 2L weight will be a plus on race day since you'll feel lighter and thus run faster and/or tire much later since you'll probably run without it. Use the easy access pockets to carry your phone, gels, cash and extra shirt (assuming its a one way long run then commute back). One star short of perfect since it only comes in one color. A darker color would be nice too.
I don't like running with water bottles for extended periods of time. This vest made training for my marathon a better experience. I could run for hours and have plenty of water along the way. I can always hear the water moving around, but the multiple straps made it easy to adjust the vest so I didn't feel it moving. (It is easy to adjust while running as you drink the water and change the weight.) The pockets in the vest made carrying gel packets and my phone easy as well.
Cleaning and drying the tube is the only drawback I have.

Makes the long runs possible
This pack has made it possible for me to do my long training runs in one big loop instead of the smaller laps that allow me to stop at home for water, but are a bit monotonous. It's also really helped me train for eating on the run. I plan on using it during my next marathon as I find it much more convenient to take frequent sips of water through the run than walking through the water stop to drink a full cup r two in a short period of time. I've been consistently well hydrated through my long runs. Very lightweight too.

Does it all on the long runs!
I got this vest to carry water on longer runs. I did not want anything strapped to my hand or waist. This solution put the water on the center of my back and kept me balanced. After using the vest on a few longer runs (up to 19 so far), I have found myself using it on all my runs. It carries my cell phone in a great spot, so I can run without headphones. The vest easily adjusts on the move and the storage is great. Nothing I have placed in the pockets bounces on the run. This vest allows me to be 100% prepared on the long runs.
money worth it!
I've been using waist belt for long runs, and those were pain to carry - they never stay in the place I'd like to be around my hip. Really annoying on 20 mile run. This product was amazing from the day one. First, tried on 8 mile, then, went for 14 miles. I even forgot that I had the pack on my back. Spout was perfectly located. Easy to clean. No chafing at all. Only thing that can be better would be the length of the shoulder strap - I'm 5'6", on leaner side and the straps can be tighten up a bit. Overall, it's 5 stars.
Fantastic Running Tool!
This pack has made my 10 mile runs fantastic!!! What a difference it makes to be hydrated! There are also pockets for me to place tissue and running chews. I absolutely adore it! The only room for improvement would be on the amount of water that is released when you bite down on the valve. It could be more. I felt like I wasn't getting enough water at times. I'm not sure if this is something I am doing incorrectly, though.
Amy the Distance Runner
This is one of the best running purchases I have made. It's easy to use, the pockets in front make it so easy to grab what I use regularly - my phone, snacks, even water for my dog. The adjustable straps are easily accessible so I just tighten it down a little as I run and drink some of the water. It's not heavy and makes just a little sloshing noise.
1/2 marathon runner in the upper midwest. Plus sized runner (5'9", 190 lbs) and hard to stay hydrated on long runs. This does the job very admirably. I love that I can take the hydration bag out and refrigerate it overnight. The mesh pockets are great for dropping my iPhone in - more than adequately secure. A bit heavy if you load it up, but certainly improves hydration.

Exactly what I needed
I had a camelback previously and was not happy with it. I run a lot and with my trail running friends need lots of water - more than my belt was holding - so looked for a better option. This works great! I can have it completely full (2L) and the backpack stays stead without moving. The front pouches allow for more than enough nutrition. I am very happy with this purchase!!!!
Just what I needed
I'm a marathoner and train with long distance runs. So this pack does every thing I need. I can carry enough water for at least a 24+ mile run. It's light and does not bounce and stiff around. Love it and wish I had it sooner.
Pretty decent product
My only complaint concerns the first one I received. I ran less the 1/4 mile when one of the "D" rings broke on the side strap. Pretty inconvenient. RoadRunner sent me a replacement. I used it on my next 20 mile run without issue.
Don't run long without it
Hardly know it is there. I really like how adjustable it is. The ability to care a extra layer makes it very functional here in the Northwest. The front pockets are very useful for stuff like nutrition, gloves, etc
