The PerformX line of tights keep everything in correct alignment for optimum balance, efficiency and power by providing support for the IT band, hip flexors and quads as well as good stabilization of the knees, calves and Achilles. The patented CW-X Support Web™ acts as a suspension system for the quadriceps, increasing power at the push phase of the running motion. I run year round in cwx. I have 3 different types. The CWX perform X insulator fabric is my favorite for cold weather... I ran a half marathon in the wet snow in these...and was the perfect temp :) the fit is great too. My legs feel the muscle support and it helps with recovery after those longer runs. I bought these based on the name and the good reviews on their other products. I hate these tights! They chafe me something terrible between my thighs, and the 1st time I wore them they chafed me behind my right knee! I actually love CW-X tights. Why then did I give 3 stars ? The decrease in stars is I could not get into these pants. I usually wear a medium in CW-X but onced insulated, you have to be a stick to get them on. Could not even get a leg in Way too tight. Jacqueline undisclosed Great tights
