These are my favorite energy gels. I really like the raspberry flavor (it tastes like the raspberry filling in those oatmeal raspberry bars - no joke!). I tried a few flavors and only really disliked the orange flavor - it didn't seem like real orange to me. They provide the best sustained energy with no crash, as they are low in sugar. They may be too thick for some people, but I think they're in the middle of the spectrum. The taste and flavor is the best in cold weather, so I recommend refrigerating them if before running if it's no cold out.

Have been using Hammer Gel for a while and find that it is the best for me and my training (training for an ultra). I have tried other gels and they often contain gluten which I cannot have and I end up with GI issues. Another plus is the flavors taste great.

I am rating this low because a mixed assortment is not available. I really liked the raspberry flavor and texture but the huckleberry tastes like medicine. I appreciate the boost it gives during long runs but wish I didn't have to go through a whole box before getting back to a more pleasing flavor.

I love the consistency... not like toothpaste, not gritty, and not too thin. It is just right when you are trying to eat a gel on the run AND it actually tastes pretty good. I love the raspberry and the apple cinnamon.

the espresso is not so sweet so is tolerated better by my stomach. Seems thicker than other brand gels, so winter weather use can be challenging.

I take 6 during every marathon, starting around mile 6. I love them! I usually stick with vanilla because the flavor is easier for me to deal with during a marathon. I have used this for a few years.
