THE bra I have been searching for!

5

It's been more than 10 years that I've been wearing sports bras now, and I've been constantly looking for a better bra. I've finally found it! This bra offers great bounce support while maintaining separation. The separation prevents profuse heat and sweating between the "girls" and makes this bra so much more comfortable than all the others that I have tried (Moving Comfort, Nike, etc). All that and the bra costs about $20 less than the others I've tried! I bought 5. I agree with the other reviewers that this bra is not the easiest to put on, but as an avid runner, soccer player, and tennis player I will take the extra minute of fussing for the hours of comfort that I gain. I have noticed that the bras are significantly easier to put on after the first wash. Bottom line: a revolution in my life. I've lost five pounds since I bought this bra because it's allowed me to run and play so much more comfortably.

Excellent bra to reduce bouncing!!!

5

My normal bra size is a 32DDD or a 34DD. I ordered this bra in a 34DD and it fits like a charm. I'm a long distance runner and have always suffered with discomfort from bras that simply squish the girls together and do little to reduce or eliminate bouncing during high impact exercise. Problem solved with this bra! The slight racer back design makes it even more comfortable, along with the adjustable and lightly padded straps. The underwire cups separate and hold my breasts in place to eliminate -- and I do mean ELIMINATE -- any bouncing to make me much more comfortable when running. This bra is also attractive for normal wear under sweaters and blouses as it does not look like a normal sports bra. The only downside is that it's slighly difficult to get on and you must fasten the hooks once you have the bra on (something I've never been able to do well). When taking it off I've almost poked my eye out with the corner of the underwire! Maybe I'm just a klutz! Despite that, I'll keep on wearing it as that minor inconvenience is well worth the benefits.

PERFECT FIT, GREAT SUPPORT, EASY ON/OFF

5

I am a 40DD and now that I can actually protect 'the girls' I can jog in comfort once again. I have shopped seriously for an athletic support bra for many years and never I mean NEVER found one that supported, separated, and was comfortable. I have absolutely NO PROBLEM getting this bra on or off, cool or sweaty. In addition to higher impact activities, when I was in my Yoga class in an upside down position this particular styling didn't let me fall out either. I didn't have to be self conscious and could stay cool in my tank top. I'm ordering more so I can wear them even when I'm not working out. THANKS you are my CHAMPIONS!

A Great Support Bra!

5

This bra is the best overall. I've purchased two of them so I have another one always fresh and ready for the gym. I'm active and love the comfort of this bra. It looks great, lets me keep my shape without looking smashed. It keeps the girls separated in their own space, so there is never any bouncing. I'm a petite athletic girl with a size D chest...the Champion Powerback Underwire Sports bra keeps everything in place. It's definitely my champion!!!

Great bra for larger chest

I have always HATED sports bras! If you have larger breasts they just smash them together. This bra is the best I've found so far! I wear it for Zumba class and running. There's definately no uni-breast with this bra! :o) I've ordered two since I do Zumba 3 times a week and run. I'm only disappointed I'll have to buy more someday when I lose enough weight. Also - the store carried my size - 40DD which was great!

Challenging on/off but I LOVE it!

4

Yes, I agree, this bra is very difficult to get on and off. It does get easier with continued use though - it took me a couple of months, but it is not the struggle to get off that it was the first couple of weeks. If they made it easier to get on and off I believe it would lose the structure that makes it work, so I just committed to get acclimated to it. This is my first non-compression bra, so I am enjoying having a nice shape and form as opposed to having a uniboob For me, this bra, both in cup and band-width ran large. I originally ordered my normal size of 36C and it was HUGE in both band-width and cup size. I reordered a 34C and it is PERFECT! I have never been comfortable in a 34 band size, so I do believe this runs large. If you are in doubt, I would order both a 34 and a 36 and return the one that does not work for you. I agree with a couple comments about the fabric being slightly scratchy . . . The IMPORTANT thing is it does not feel scratchy while being worn. If it were soft I believe it would stretch quickly and lose its effectiveness as a great sports bra. I love the slightly padded straps. Also the way the straps attach to the cup sides then go across your back to the racer-back provides very nice support. I run 25 to 30 miles per week and wash this once per week. It NEVER has never been in the dryer. I do wash it in the washing machine with my workout clothing in cold water, on delicate in a bag, then let it hang dry. I've had it for six months and it shows no signs of wear. I also appreciate the breathability of the fabric, this bra, unlike my former compression bras does not make me hot. My husband loves the shape that this bra gives me, and I have worn it with 'street clothes' because of the nice shape. If I could ask Champion to change just one thing, it would be to provide a bit more 'coverage' or petals since nipples are extremely visible. It seems like they could use a firmer fabric in the cups, perhaps like the fabric across the back to provide a bit more coverage for your nipples.

Stylish and supprotive

This sports bra is what I have been looking for! It is supportive and comfortable. I wear this for most activities: dance, yoga, weight training, and light-moderate impact cardio. For a big girl (DD+) it is really nice to have the great support without the squished sports bra look or gigantic straps. I can wear cute tops with this sports bra, even v-neck or scoop neck without overwhelming cleavage! I do have some trouble with the hook and eye clasps in the back because I don't have the best flexibility in my shoulders. But, once it's on, I can usually wear it for long periods of time.

What a great bra!

5

This is a great bra! I was skeptical to order online, I have a VERY HARD TIME buying bras. I am busty and am not one who can wear the average support bra. This is awesome! I am very active and am looking for something that keeps my bust in place while working out. This did it! I'm highly impressed and will buy another in the future!

Not as much support as expected

Not quite as supportive as other high impact bras for running but very comfortable. I like the racer back style and adjustable strapes. I will use the bra for biking, gym workout, volleyball, and walking.

Great Support, But Could Improve

4

Love this bra. It's the first sports bra I've owned that offered the support that can rival a regular bra made by W****l. That being said, you have to be a bit of a contortionist to get this on and off. Yes, the band has the 3-prong clasp. But it really isn't functional. Honestly, I don't bother un-doing it anymore. I use it as motivation to get out and run, because once it's on, it's a pain in the rear to get off. The straps are adjustable, which is a plus. I do wish the straps were a little softer, and that the cups had some padding. Like another reviewer said, you get a "headlight" effect. I'm normally a 38DD, and that's what I purchased. The band isn't incredibly flexible, so I think it fits just a tad tight (not tight enough to be uncomfortable though), and I think I could have used a 38E but it isn't offered. I still have some cleavage and not as much separation as I think should be there.

i tried this bra on in the store and thought it was great. i am always disappointed in sports bras because of the uniboob effect 36DD to E, no matter how supported i refuse to wear a bra that doesn't make the girls look good. this bra gives great shape and i wanted to wear it for work and snowboarding. i have a physical job that requires 12 hours on my feet, with lots of lifting and bending. after going home i tried wearing the bra for a more extended period of time to make sure i would be comfortable. after about 45minutes i was in pain from the band rubbing and chafing. upon further inspection the bottom of this band is a scratchy meshy material like the rest of it and it was cutting into me. this bra would be amazing for my needs if it had a small padded edge along the bottom to make it comfortable.

I was looking for a 36D racerback sports bra that separates, not smoosh the girls - this is the answer that I found. I wish there were more competition in this space, but this one is a really good answer. I wish... it were a little easier to get on and off, but that's not a big big deal, and hopefully I'll get used to it/build some new muscles/increase my flexibility as I wear it more and more? I wish... it had a little bit of padding to eliminate "headlights". So I've been pulling the removable pads out of another sports bra and "padding" this bra with them. An ok solution, but not ideal. Also, I usually wear a 36D, but I found that a 36DD fit me much better in this bra.

Excellent Support but Some Drawbacks

4

Perfect for my high-impact kickboxing class as well as running. No bounce for this 38D girl! As others have found, fastening the hooks behind my back is tricky but not impossible. Unfortunately, the hooks on the two I purchased have become misshapen and now do not hook at all. Worse, the end of the wire pokes out of the hook. Taller women should note that while these straps are adjustable, they have no stretch whatsoever. I am 6 feet tall and have the straps adjusted to their longest and they are just barely long enough. Another centimeter of length would make them perfect for me. I won't be buying these again, which is too bad, because these bras really stop the bounce!

Best sports bra ever!

5

I am 5'3" weighing 112 lbs. and am a 34DD. This bra has by far been the best sports bra I have ever owned. I exercise regularly to include dancing and running. Whether running on the road or the treadmill this bra is very supportive. Some people complain about the issue of getting it on or off. I am not bothered by it because when it's on it does it's job. It is very breathable and the straps are wide enough so they do not dig into my shoulders. I own four of them and plan on getting more. If you are a big girl up top, like me, and enjoy high impact workouts this bra is the way to go! Happy running everyone! :)

Very breathable (huge improvement over the Mizuno bra I had in that regard) and comfortable with no chafing. So far the best movement restriction I've had in a sportsbra as a D/DD wearer. The back closure is annoyingly difficult (as other reviewers noted) , and I'm not sure I'd put up with it if I hadn't a spouse to help. Folding it under while hooking so only whatever row of loops you're trying to use is exposed helps but isn't a perfect solution. Still, I would ultimately recommend for those sick of bouncing.

Great fit but?????

4

I just bought this bra yesterday for a half marathon I did this morning. Great support and absolutely no chafing whatsoever. I'm normally a 34C but the cup size runs a little small so I had to go with a D cup. The ONLY bad thing about this bra is that the cups are very see through....your headlights will certainly be on and on high beam no less. If you wear a somewhat thicker shirt you'll be fine, though. The support and overall fit is so great that I've since ordered another one in black.

AT LAST!!

5

I usually wear a 36DDD but ended up getting this bra in a 38DD. It's hard to get on/off, maybe because I'm not used to racer backs. I absolutely ADORE the support of this bra. My "girls" don't so much a THINK of moving. For the first time in years I'm not getting smacked in the face by my "girls" doing jacks. I've seen sportbras go for double this price but for the job this bra does, I'm glad I could find space for it in my budget.

comfortable for larger chested runners

4

I wore this bra for a 3-4 mile run and it was comfortable and provided great support for my DD chest size. The best part is that because of the cut, I did not get a heat rash between the girls like I do with most bras. The only down side was that the plastic for tightening the bra straps feel in an bad spot and was a little irritating but not enough to not like the bra. The other plus...it doesn't smash the girls and doesn't create a uni-chest (won't let me say the other word) for us bigger chested ladies.

I was surprised at how nice looking this bra is, doesn't remind me of a sports bra. I like the way the straps fit, not too thick but the support is there. The band width (I bought a 36) is not snug enough so I will buy another one size smaller. The girls stay in place (as much as possible on this nearly 50 year old woman) but don't feel compressed beyond recognition. A good buy for running but will also be suitable for under a dress or shirt that has the racer back.

Typically I fear underwire bras because some of the bras I wear for work that have underwire hurt me... but this bra is amazing. I run and strength train during the week and on the weekends I ride my horse. This bra is good for working out and for work and amazing for riding. I have it in Black and it looks so pretty on that I actually thought about buying pearls to go with it.

I have two of these bras. One with wire and one without. Both are very supportive on all my long runs. However, chafing is a problem. I am a D cup and have issues with rubbing under my breasts and in between with both of these bras. I do have sensitive skin and have to use a chafing stick. Even with that I still have chafing issues with these bras.

Champion had a great bra in the one they had before this one. It had a back clasp and was very easy to put on and take off. While the construction of this bra is good, it's uncomfortable and hard to take off, especially if you've just worked out and are a little damp. I'd give anything for the older model.
