I run anywhere from 5-20 miles a week, depending on what kind of routine I am in. I am also rehabbing from a knee injury that wasn't specifically running-related, rather from other impact activities. This injury drove me to seek the best shoe I could get my hands on, which would allow me to get the most run-time while giving my knee maximum comfort.
I have been using the Wave Riders since the 6 came out, after finding them to be (at the time) the perfect running shoe for my feet. After seeing the Prophecy line start up this year, I thought the price tag was high and I would continue getting the Rider. After the injury, the price seemed much less important than the preservation of my knee. Plus, knowing that Mizuno makes excellent products, I was fairly sure this would be an excellent shoe.
I was not disappointed in any way when trying them on and taking them for a test run. They fit my feet like a glove, while allowing comfortable space for the toes. They breathe well. And after owning them for a month now, I can say they are an amazing shoe that is well worth the money. During the run, they do an amazing job at absorbing shock and my feet have yet to feel fatigued. My knee has also been doing well with the running, as good as could be expected anyway.
Some people have commented on the weight of the shoe, but, I imagine most/all of those people have not actually ran in this shoe. You will not feel the extra weight because they transition through your strides so well.
Also of note, I convinced my wife to give these a try and after comparing them against others like the Nike AirMax 2011, Wave Rider 14 and Wave Creation, the Prophecy won her heart, hands down as her favorite.
Overall, if you enjoy running and can find the extra cash, you should certainly consider giving these shoes a spin.
This shoe seemed to go against everything that I have been hearing about what I need in a running shoe these days, but after getting my hands on a pair from a wear tester friend I couldn't believe how natural the ride is. Actually it is beyond natural! No Joke these are the real deal! I put 5 miles on them the first day and couldn't believe how smooth and surprisingly light weight they felt.
This shoe is crazy in the greatest way. Cushioning bounce runability they are all there. It doesn't get any better then this!

Quality Shoe but Short Lived
I have been running in Mizuno's for about 4 years now since addidas changed the footbed of my former shoe (former marathoner and on/off 20 year runner). When these arrived I loved them, springy is the word I would use to describe them, you almost get propelled forward with each step. I alternate shoes for better wear, and these look brand new still as I am a bit of a neat-nik, but they have lost their bounce and feel flat now. They are an expensive shoe and I don't mind paying for a product that lasts, but I am a little disappointed in these and will probably switch to something else by Mizuno. You will love them at first, but they have lost their appeal.

Tougher to Break In Than They Should Be
I've been a loyal Mizuno purchaser for years, especially the neutral-plus line (Creation, etc). I thought these might be an interesting new direction. While I have found them as springy as others have suggested, I find the heel area consistently stiff and I end my longer runs with some joint and muscle pains that my Wave Creations don't give me. It almost feels as if this shoe over-determines my stride. If you fit perfectly, I imagine this is the perfect shoe. If not (I'm 6'4" and 193lbs), then this may be simultaneously more and less than you bargained for.
Running in the shoe for about 6 months now with an 8 month break in the middle. Outstanding shoe for blacktop and concrete, but tends to pick up small debris between the upper and lower plates if running off road. Takes some getting used to as it feels like you have a lot of distance between the bottom of your feet and the road. Decreased my injuries and fatigue on my distance runs. Over all- An outstanding and comfortable ride.
The Creation is a phenomenal shoe, but the Prophecy kicks it up several notches. Simply a great pleasure to run in, you will look forward to running like never before.
Love the shoe & awesome customer service
Great shoe. Had the first ones when they came out and was kinda worried i wouldnt get what i paid for. But, i did and they have help up pretty well. I ended up getting a new pair and they were a little more snug than my last pair. So, called up RR and shipping them back and getting a half size up no questions ask. One of the best customer services I have worked with. Great prices for vip's and awesome customer service. You cant go wrong with RR.
What a nice ride, the advertisement for this shoe is spot on. It fits the description to a "T" and then some. I have found it has made running a lot less stressful on the joints which makes running a lot more enjoyable. I will be ordering another pair very soon so I may alternate shoes. I do not think I will go back to any other brand now I have trid this shoe.
Poor excuse for a neutral plus shoe
These shoes require transitioning. I have run for 30+ years and never had shoes tear up my lower calves like these. I run 25 - 30 miles/week so I'm in decent shape; I had to tape my lower calves after running in these even after a day off. I am sending them back today.I have read lots of good press for these shoes and don't understand it even a little bit.

Cush and Spring
I run 15-20 miles a week and have a large frame. This shoe has the right amount of cush for landing and the right amount of spring to keep me going. I have worn the Nirvanas and Creations and this shoe just took Mizuno to a new level of awesomeness!
