Shin pain a thing of the past!!

I recently bought a pair of Nike Air Max 2014's. I wanted maximum cushion because I intended to use my new shoes for running and dance cardio. I needed them to perform. The Air Max are gorgeous shoes and that's as far as it goes. For the price they are heavy, stiff, and the cushion on the front of the shoe felt hard and did not provide enough shock resistance to prevent my shins from hurting. I decided to look around and found out that many of Tracy Anderson's trainers wear Mizuno Prohecy. So I drove down to the Carlsbad store to test them out. Firstly, no other store near me carried this shoe in stock. Thank you Road Runner for having an amazing selection! As soon as I slipped the Prophecy on my foot and started to move I knew it was for me! I took them for a test drive and wow! I hadn't been able to jump for days without my shin hurting terribly. I didn't feel any pain at all! I love love love that the cushion extends all the way to the front of the shoe where I need it most and you can feel it protecting your joints and shins front to back. I have a normal width foot, I've seen people with wide toe boxes complain about the fit, and they fit my foot like a dream! They're responsive. I can feel them actively protecting my feet. The fabric is amazing! And, they're fun to run in. I feel like I'm running on clouds!

Odd cut

I run (10-20 miles/week) on roads and trails, and I wanted very much to love the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 3. I have worn, and worn out, a Wave Prophecy 1 and 2 model, but because I am a fore-foot runner, I thought the increased padding would make this model even better for me. So other reviews complaining about the extra cushioning/lack of toe-off didn't bother me; rather that suggested that I would like them precisely for the reason others did not. Unfortunately, while the extra padding is wonderful-and just what I hoped for-this model is built differently than the first two. Unlike the earlier models, this one does not lace up completely around my narrow ankles, nor does it seem as narrow through the instep. I bought the first two Wave Prophecy models because they did just that. In addition, the lacing area seems to be longer, so that the bend in the shoe at he top of the lace area cuts into my foot at the base of my toes. I tried them on a four mile run, and by the time I got home, my right foot hurt badly; had I kept running, I think I would have injured my foot. No amount of re-lacing or adjustment made any difference. So, sadly, back they go.

Not just for runners!

I bought these shoes for work actually. I'm a nurse and required to be on my feet for 12 hours at a time on hard floors. The reviews were good..supportive especially for joints so I figured it was worth a shot. I ordered the teal color and was very happy when they arrived. I wore them for two days straight and never had a problem with my back or knees. I have low arches and they support pretty well. The arch isn't as high as I'd like but the lateral support is awesome. They're slightly too narrow and slightly too small. I have issues with my big toe often rubbing against the mesh in the shoes but it's not bad. I only notice my foot feeling constricted on the drive home. Probably one of the most comfortable shoes I've owned. Would definitely order again.

Shoe addict for cushion

Love they way they feel but they r different to the previous style and I have had several !!! Love the old style and will stock up as I can't decide which is better - these have more Cush in the front but don't have that propulsion in the sole that I love in the previous style They feel like a completely different shoe - love it but I will stock up on the old style as I love them both - hate that when they update and it's soooo different But they r a great new shoe just different - it runs flatter it needs the sole propulsion in it

I would buy another pair

I usually get a 9 in every pair of running shoes. This one said buy a 1/2 size bigger. I did not and they fit perfect. Idk why they would say buy bigger. I have Saucony running shoes now, so these seem to feel a bit heavier than I'm used too, but not really all that much. They do seem to fit tighter, which is nice for me. I usually have to scrunch my laces together and buy thick socks, but with this shoe I don't have too. I really like them so far. I will probably buy another pair since they are such a good price.

Great shoe except...

I really like these shoes. My planter fasciitis seemed to improve, although not resolve with this shoe. I swapped out the insoles for the green super feet and my feet no longer hurt at all. It's a miracle. . My only complaint -and it's really annoying - is I kick the heck out of my ankles with these shoes. Almost every run I come home bleeding. This started when I got these shoes so I don't think it's my stride completely. The base of the shoe must be wider than most. Otherwise, I recommend.

I love these shoes!!! I wore Wave creations for years and tried the first prophecy's and fell in love with them. Didn't try the 2nd ones but this 3rd version is great! Comfy, cushiony, light...just what my knees needed. I tried the new wave creations 15 because of the reviews, but my feet kept going numb on mile 2. Gave these new prophecy's a go and I'm so glad I did! Definitely worth the money!!

LOVE, LOVE LOVE this shoe!

Best shoe to assist with preserving the knees. This shoe has superior support and shock absorption. Great for narrow feet as well. Best of all, because these features are mechanically built into the shoe, they won't lose their "oomph" after heavy use, like all other "air" models.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it...

It's still a great shoe (when compared to other running shoes out there, Mizuno certainly takes the cake). However, you'd expect the 3 to successfully precede the 2. This is not the case here. I MUCH prefer the Prophecy 2. The Prophecy 3 feels nothing like it's earlier model. It lacks the forward drive and support. It's become TOO cushiony causing a lackluster performance to the support the arch and wave plates previously provided. I'll be sticking with the 2 while I can.

Like running on Air!!!

I run stairs and some shoes slip at the heal these Are great comfortable for the 40 flight trip!! Great On regular runs too and just working out even Wore them all day at work!! They are my new Favorite sneaker!! 真真真真真

Happy knees

This shoe really lessens the impact on my knees and has a lot of midfoot cushion- more than the Wave Inspire I had been using. I think the heel cushion could be a bit stiffer, but have already bought another pair, so I like them.

It's a little bit different then the last model. The overall cushioning has diminuished, but the forefoot improved. It's still the best running shoes I've ever had!

I'm always looking for a new type of shoe to try out, this one looked interesting.i like cushioned shoes and this one is nice.great for the road,it cushions the impact well!

Love them!

Had last years model and was afraid by the reviews I wouldn't like as well. They are great though! Bought two!
