I was an obsessive runner 20 years ago until 2 years of constant shin splints/stress fractures forced me onto bikes (which I raced for years with the same obsessive behavior). I have a very pronounced over-pronation and use custom carbon fiber orthotics to adjust for the pronation. Several times over the years I tried running with the same result...pain and stress fractures!
Last March I decided to try again. A month of running and the pain was creeping back. I read about the Mizuno Paradox and decided to give them a try.
Wow! No pain and the lightest, most comfortable running shoes...ever.
I know shoe fit is almost as individual as DNA but I would recomend these to anyone with no hesitation.
My only problem is that Road Runner Sports doesn't stock my size (7).
Feels like I'm running with old running shoes. There is very little support or stability. I run over 60 mile a week. I ran in Wave Alchemy for 10 years and they were the best. I never had an ache or a pain in my feet. The Paradox was to replace the Alchemy. It doesn't come close. Mizuno has failed with this shoe. My feet hurt after running everyday in these shoes. I am having bad luck trying to replace my Alchemy running shoes. Asics Kyano, Brooks Transcendence,Adrenaline GTS, Saucony Hurricane, and Mizuno Inspire haven't been able to replace the Wave Alchemy.

A Disappointing Replacement
I have always liked Mizuno shoes, especially the Wave Nirvana. I was glad to see another Stability Plus shoe from Mizuno. But I have not liked this shoe since I began wearing it. First it hurt the top outside of my foot. Next, the shoe felt "old" from the first wear. I never had that "new shoe boost" you often get with new shoes from this shoe. Now, with about 50 miles on them they are already wearing out with two colors of the sole worn away. This is a disappointing replacement for the Wave Nirvana. I will not buy this shoe again.
New Mizuno Wave Paradox
I have always worn the Mizuno Wave Nirvana. I waited 3 months for the Paradox because I couldn't find another pair of Wave Nirvanas.
The Paradox is super light but great support and Pronation control. My only complaint is that the Paradox running shoe was not comfortable right out of the box like all my Nirvanas. They were a little tighter in the box initially and my toes felt squeezed. That has really improved after 2 weeks. Maybe it just getting used to a new style.
So far so good!
I just received my new Mizunos after a 2 month wait. I switched in the meantime to New Balance 1260's which are very comfortable but way to soft in the cushioning.
I was psyched when the new Stability+ were announced by Mizuno. I have only run in them once but the cushioning is firm but better than the previous model. I ran today on the treadmill and they felt great right out of the box. Great cushion on heel and forefoot...
Only bummer is that there is only one color available at the moment.
Bad Replacement for Wave Alchemy
I ran in Wave Alchemy for 10 years. I average 8 to 10 miles 5 days a week. I was very disappointed when I tried to run in the new Wave Paradox. After one run my feet were soar. After my third run my feet were killing me. The Paradox felt like they were already worn out. I felt like I was running barefoot. The Paradox lacks the cushioning and support of the Alchemy. I wouldn't use these to walk my dog. Mizuno really dropped the ball on this one.

A little more cushion would be NICE:)
These are a great stability shoe. They keep you in line while running. I took them out for a long run and they felt really good until mile 15 then I started to ache from lack of cushioning. Stability-YES Cushioning-NO. I will be using these for short fast runs!
I work out daily. After 2 weeks of trying I had to return this shoe due to discomfort. For a 2E is was tight and narrow. liked a lot about the shoe but had to give up and go for a different brand. Thanks to VIP I returned it and got a different shoe with no questions asked.
Very nice running shoes
I try to get out everyday for at least two miles. These are my alternate pair. I rotate them with another pair of running shoes. It took a few runs before the started to become comfortable, and I would buy the same brand when these wear out.

Perfect shoe for me
This shoe is supportive enough that I don't need to use my orthotics with it, and is shockingly light for how much shoe you get. Former Wave Nirvana wearers will love it. My only issues are the short tongue and clown shoe looks.
Good support and fit.
Run on trails with lots of exposed roots so I have to watch my footing. The shoe holds up pretty well but again a few oz lighter would help my speed with it.

I have always looked for a shoe that is comfortable to teach class in and to walk around town after. Great support. Looks good also.
Great looking shoe that is very comfortable and has strong performance.
