Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Paradox Running Shoe:

I have a average width foot. I purchased Mizuno's for a change from Nike's (150+ miles per month). My baby toes rubbed a hole in the side of the toe box. I was worn through in just 2 months. These need a slightly thicker fabric covering the toe

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Paradox Running Shoe:

Still looking for good replacement for the Wave Inspires like a lot of folks here. these are mostly good. I have plantar fasciitis and put Orthoheel inserts in the shoes and they seem to be mostly doing the trick. I do get a little pain on the top of one of my feet but it isn't worth ditching the shoe. My biggest complaint with these are that they are loud loud loud. they squeak like all get out and it doesn't seem to be getting better. They are also ugly but I don't really care about that.
Otherwise they are nice to run in. They seem supportive enough for the treadmill and I also use for workouts with no problems.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Paradox Running Shoe:

I've been running for two years. I have average arches but they are very flexible so I overpronate. I need a stability plus shoe. I've been wearing Brooks Trance for the last two years but it has been discontinued and I'm looking for a new shoe. I tried this one. I don't have wide feet, I usually wear average (B) width. This shoe is tight and narrow. I tried loosening the laces but still have no relief. Actually the outer part of my foot is aching after running two miles. The shoe seems to have been made well. The color schemes are pretty.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Paradox Running Shoe:

I've been trying to find a replacement for my favorite Wave Inspire 9's, and these were recommended by a Road Runner advisor for their cushioning. I took them for a long run (7+ miles) the first time I wore them, and my legs were sore for days afterwards. These are HIGH stability shoes - very supportive to your entire foot, with very little flexibility. Therefore, they don't adapt to your stride - you adapt to the shoe. Not what I'm looking for - and certainly not similar to the Wave Inspire 9's - so I will be returning these. Because of the level of support and cushioning, I would still recommend these for someone who needs very supportive shoes for cross-training or distance walking.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Paradox Running Shoe:

I held out as long as I could to replace my wave nirvanas. I'm not overally impressed. For me the tongue is way too short. I lace my shoes all the way to the last holes and the tongue barely sticks out and the bow gets stuck underneath the tongue. They also seem much flatter than the nirvanas. I always like the way the toe curved up on the nirvans. For sizing Mizuno always seems to run at least a half size smaller than other running shoes. Haven't decided if I will keep them. I only have had them two weeks and only jogged in them about 15 miles.

I love my older Mizuno's, have four pair in various stages of wear, but the Paradox left a deep bruise across the top of my right foot. No amount of changing the lace configuration,tightening/loosening of laces, nor changing of socks could correct. Am returning and trying a Saucony.

After wearing out three pairs of the now discontinued Wave Nirvana 8, I bought this shoe. The lace configuration on the shoe creates horrible pressure on the top of my right foot leaving bruises. Can't wear them. I am so disapointed. Back to the drawing board!

So happy to find these shoes! I have worn the Mizuno Wave Inspires until the new 10's and couldn't get used to the changes made to the 10. This is slightly heavier, but feels really well cushioned. A good work horse of a shoe!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Paradox Running Shoe:

I recently had ankle reconstruction and have a plate, 5 screws and 3 wires to hold my ankle together. After finally rehabbing enough to begin running again I needed a shoe with a little more stability. I used to run in wave creations and absolutely love them but the wave paradox has not disappointed! With the need for a little more stability this shoe is still light weight and allows room for my custom orthodics as well. I would definitely buy another pair of these!

I honestly have been on this annoying mission to find the right shoe since the New balance 1011 was discontinued. That shoe had the right about to support and cushion. I have been through Brooks, Asics, you name it. I bought a couple and will be be returning them. My knees dont hurt. This shoe is by far my shoe. So I will be making more then one puchase in returing the other ones that do not serve me that unconditional cloud nine support. I love this shoe so much. I plan on buying as much before they run out. End of Story!!!! i've been through my luck of injuries. This is my My shoe and i'm so happy i found you.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Paradox Running Shoe:

I initially had the Wave Inspire 10, but my foot didn't like all of the new changes to the latest model, so it was suggested I try to Paradox. Both the new Inspire and the Paradox are significantly narrower (even the Wide width, which I bought in both). I took out the liner in my Wave Inspire 9s, and they're wider than the Paradox and the Inspire 10. Both caused hot spots on my arch on short runs, so both had to be sent back. The Paradox seemed heavy (when compared to the Inspire), was stiffer, and there's not a lot of height to the toe box, so if you have toes that curl up a little (or fatter toes, like I do), they'll rub the top of the shoe. I don't know why Mizuno decided to change its entire lineup of shoes this year, but I think these changes mean I'll be switching to Brooks or Saucony since their wides are actually wide.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Paradox Running Shoe:

After years in the Alchemy, I switched to the Paradox with some hesitation--a new model is always a bit of a risk. My foot is wider than average, but not always a "wide," and I pronate heavily on the right and moderately on the left. Based on other reviews, I chose the wide width (which was necessary), and I added green SuperFeet, matching past practice with the Alchemy. The Paradox is very stiff; I probably could have used blue inserts and been happy. That stiffness made them feel a little heavy, even though they are lighter than the Alchemys. Pronation control is as good as or better than the Alchemys. Other reviewers noted that the shoe eased up some with use, but I haven't found that yet. Maybe with more miles. Overall a good replacement for someone who needs plenty of stability.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Paradox Running Shoe:

Needed shoes to control over-pronation and was sent to a specialist who put me in a different brand. Hated them! So I went online and found RoadRunner Sports. They found the perfect shoe for me and at a much better price! Will be recommending all my track kids come to this website!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Paradox Running Shoe:

I have always ran in the Nirvana and it was
discontinued so I went to the paradox. It took
time to get accustomed to such a change but I
really like it now because it is lighter.
The fit is good for me and it is comfortable.
I run three days a week with a group and do lots of races. The only negative is that my
feet are more sore with these (feels less cushiony)than Nirvana. I have only worn
Mizunos for 8 years now..still the shoe for me!

I am usually not a Mizuno fan because I need cushion under the ball of my feet. These have it. They were narrow so I returned and orderes a wide. So far so good!

Loved my Alchemy Mizuno which are no longer made so tried the Paradox, their replacement. No problem with my plantar fasciitis, but to much pressure on the bunions. The toe box is not roomy enough and could not even wiggle the toes. Sending them back and will try another style in the Mizuno.

I am training for a marathon, 25+ miles x week.... I use always regular width, these ones felt too tight, think I'll try them on W width... Also they are little rigid, lack of movement as you run !
