Women's NIKE® ZOOM VOMERO+5 :: Just when you thought your favorite plushest, most cushiest and cushioned trainer couldn't get any better--it did! The updated women's Nike® Zoom Vomero+5 has a new midfoot design that fits more comfortably, the heel counter has been updated to give you a more secure fit, and the outsole segmentation provides flexibility and cushioning that's gender-specific, so the shoe feels exactly right for you. Nike+ ready*. 9.8 ounces
I'm happy to report, as one of the 1st of many runners in the Vomero 5, that it only gets better. I ran in the previous version last year, and the 5 looks and feels even better. No major changes, but the toe box feels roomier and is easy to adjust. The arch wrap also feels light and flexible, unlike with other shoes. My favorite thing is that I can feel more energy return as I run, maybe due to having more 'duralon' rubber on the outsole than the 4. Now, I just wanna run....

The Vomero 5 (and 3's)are perfect for those of us who like rebound on our landing especially for long runs like Half Marathons. This saves energy and really makes the run smoother. When I bought my first pair of Vomero 3's in Feb. '09 and wore them in the Surf City Half Marathon, they took 8 minutes off my time. Now, after completing 30 Halfs in 34 months, my last race was my PR! Go figure. I don't tire with these shoes at all. When I couldn't buy the 3's, I searched the web for them and bought those returned at the expos. I had to have the Vomero 3. When the Vomero 5 came out I tried and loved them. I now have 3 pairs of 5's and 1 pair of 3's. I'll probably stock up on the Vomero 5's now because the season may be coming when they change and I hate the changes. I feel if they're so perfect, keep making the same model and you'll definitely make a lot of money on the Classic Vomero 5. The Vomero 4 didn't cut it at all for me. They were so different I didn't know why they gave them the same name and description. Thank you for the Vomero 5's. If I knew how to add a photo I'd send my last race, the Big Sur Half in Monterey.

The cushioning rocks!!! ;-) Bostons...
I had been trying desperately to find a replacement for the Adidas Boston Classics that I had been running in for years. I finally found it!!! The cushioning was amazing!!! I even posted how happy I was about that on Facebook after my first run in them! The fit was perfect right out of the box too! Not too narrow like some of the ones I tried recently. I am still very, very happy with the fit and cushioning, but... I have noticed today some wear ALREADY on the tread of the shoes and I've only had them about a month or two. Usually the wear I see on these would take about 6 months to show on the Bostons, so I may have to replace these a lot sooner than I'm used to. Not thrilled about that, but I still am VERY happy with them overall! My knees are very happy with them because of the amazing cushioning. I will probably stick with them next time around too, but may try one other shoe that might work for me feet and see if they last a little longer. Like I said though, they are awesome. My feet are very picky about what feels good and these rock!!! I have high arches and am 5'7" and about 165 lbs (and losing weight now that I can run pain-free again!). Great substitute for the Adidas Boston Classics!!! ;-)

awesome shoe--love it!!
I LOVE these shoes & they are my first pair of Nikes & I am a convert now & may not buy anything else!! I returned a pair of New Balance 1064's after they gave me extreme forefront/ball of the foot joint pain after wearing them for 1 week on my treadmill due to terrible cushioning in that area. Plus I have mild bunions & the 1064's were rubbing on that area & causing even more discomfort. Luckily the wonderful folks at Roadrunner suggested these Nike's for me & I don't think I'll ever buy anything else!! I just LOVE these shoes & feel like I'm walking on pillows of air cushioning. Wonderful! Plus my feet are wider in the forefront area & I have a slightly narrower heel, so these fit great in the heel as well (but I did tie them to prevent any heel slippage). Can't say enough great things about these shoes & I will be buying several more pairs real soon! Highly recommend if you are looking for great cushioning & a very comfortable, lightweight & also a cute shoe. Also great design with no extra seams in the bunion area to cause irritation. Highly recommend for happy feet!! :)

Always reluctant to go to the next level
I always hate to see my shoe updated. 9 of 10 times I don't like the update near as much. But in this case it's just as good if not better. Very comfortable and light. I'm not interested in speed so I don't make that assessment. But for endurance these shoe make the grade. Not sorry, even delighted that I decided to buy the new version of my trusted shoe.

Like running on marshmellows
I wasn't too sure about these shoes when I 1st put them on. They felt & looked wide & sloppy. Then I noticed that the strap across the arch was loose & had another (tighter) hole to lace through. I relaced the shoes using the tighter hole and they fit much better. I wore them around the house for a day just to make sure they were going to fit.
I have now worn them for about 6 runs of 3 - 6 miles. They have awsome cushioning, nice and springy, no break in needed. I'm not sure I would pick them over my Nimbus, but they are a close 2nd (better than any others I've tried). That is mainly because of the wider fit, they don't hug my foot as well as the Nimbus. These are a great shoe to alternate with the Nimbus.
I am a personal trainer and can be on my feet for long periods of time. I normally don't wear my running shoes to the gym, but these might be good for those days when I will be on my feet a lot.
Great shoe except for the flats
I love this shoe, in general. It was recommended by a local running shoe specialist when I was suffering from painful plantar fasciatis and heel spurs. I was convinced I needed cushion because my heel hurt, but I was told I needed something slightly stiffer to help stretch my foot in order to recover from the plantar fasciatis and heel spurs. It was true! My only complaint with this shoe is that, long before they were worn out, I have had "blowouts" in the air cushions in two different pairs of these. (In the first pair, I stepped on a twig, heard a hissing sound, and immediately noticed that my shoe had gone flat. The second pair was flattened by a little burr which put a smaller, slower leak in the cushion, again, rendering the shoe unusable for running. I still like the shoe and have ordered another pair.

BEST pair of shoes I ever purchased!
I was so happy with these shoes that I wore them out of the store. I traveled 30 miles to get them and it was well worth the trip. My salesperson Tom was so professional, patient and kind. He diligently assisted me in finding the perfect shoe. Thanks again Tom. It was a pleasure going to Road Runner. Far away, but overall a great experience. My ankles were hurting when I walked in the store because of my arches, but they felt a lot better after wearing my shoes. This shoe has the softest cushion inside that I have ever had. It is stable, light and comfortable. They felt as though I were wearing house slippers. I highly recommend them.

LOVE the Vomero 5!!
I purchased this shoe after faithfully using the Vomero 4's for my previous 3 day/60 mile training and walks. I have recently started training for my first 1/2 marathon and the only issue I was having with my training was the bottom of my heel was sore so when I saw that the Vomero 5's had more cushioning I was hopeful. I received my 5's the week before my 1/2 marathon and I did what everyone told me not to... I did one training run with my 5's and then ran my 1/2 marathon with them in the pouring rain. They were WONDERFUL!!! I did not get one blister and my heel did not ache after the 1/2 marathon. I am a true fan of the Vomero line. I have finally found a shoe that is comfortable from the first time I wear it. Love them!!! Now I am training or my 2nd 1/2 marathon...

First shoe that deserved review!
I'm a 5'10" woman, 155 lbs. I run 25-35 miles weekly, 7-9 miles per run, on road, pavement, or packed trails. These are the first running shoes I've owned that have inspired a review. I have a neutral gait and high arch. These are THE MOST COMFORTABLE RUNNING SHOE I HAVE EVER WORN . I am not kidding when I say it feels like running on spongy pillows. They give me bounce. They keep my muscles from tiring as quickly. A great roomy toe box (yes, like other reviewers I suggest ordering a 1/2 size up from your normal running shoe size). I have just gone online and ordered myself two more pairs so that I've got replacements when they wear out. Nike really got this one right!
Amazing Running Shoe
This is such a great running shoe for those of us that need extra cushioning. I run about 20 miles a week and usually it is on pavement or concrete so having a shoe with a lot of cushion is a necessity! I have not had any more knee or shin pain since wearing these shoes. Since I have only had them a month, I cannot attest to their durability but I would imagine they would last as long as any other good running shoe. I strongly recommend these Nikes to anyone with high arches or just needs some extra cushion. If you require a stability shoe, these are not the ones for you.

Years of Running--specific needs
Nike has been my choice of running shoe for years. I road run and go to the gym--work out 7 days a week.I have a high arch and ridgid foot, striking mainly the ball of my foot upon impact. Though I am not heavy, I run with a hard, deliberate stride. The shoe is too soft, not providing enough separation from my body and the feel of cement. This is a great shoe for a graceful, gentle runner, who maybe does less endurance miles. After years of running, feet begin to change, scare tissue forms between the small bones of the forefoot, forever changing how one impacts and runs.My shoe needs have become more specific.Great shoe if I was a more gentle runner!
Nike is back in good form, finally!
Have been running for 20 years, treadmill and road. Had given up on Nikes several years ago, as the quality started to go downhill. I need good support and demand lots of cushion, due to knee problems and orthotics use. The Zoom Vomero 5 delivers the cushion I had been missing with all those Asics, used to get with the older Nike Air Max series, and is even better than the Mizuno Wave Creation on that score. It's a little wider midway between heel and forefoot (at the arch), but can be laced tighter for support in that area. They are comfortable and fairly lightweight.
Just love this shoe!
I have been running in the vomero 4's and loved them the 5's are every bit as good maybe better. I have run in brooks and asics but the vomeros are just the most comfortable. I ran my first marathon last year in vomeros and did half of my training in them. Once I switched I found that I had less injury and soreness. As soon as I put them on I was sold I just love them. It might sound cliche but they are seriously the best running shoe I have ever worn. I have recommended them to 3 others and the feedback is equally as positive.
I love these shoes!
I have been running on Vomero's for a couple of years now and have loved them. I am prone to runner's knee and never had a problem with this and the Vomero's. Until the Vomero +4, that is, which I had to send back. So I was VERY happy to try the +5 and I can say that for my part, these are the perfect shoe. Nice adjustable fit through the mid foot. Good articulation from heel strike to push off. Much better cushioning than the +4s. I have already done two long training runs (11 and 12- milers) without any discomfort or post-run complaints. I love these shoes and recommend them to anyone who needs a well fitted, cushioned ride. Also, size up 1/2 size, as recommended.
"Forever Run" in these shoes!
Feels like you are running on a cloud. They are light and breathable, most of all comfortable with lots of cushion. I put in about 155 miles a month, so it is important to have a cushioned, durable, but yet comfortable shoe. The Air Zoom Vomero 5's have been the kindest to my feet out of any other running shoe I have ran in the past. I have placed 2nd and 3rd in a marathon and half marathon in my division in the last year. Will be looking forward to setting a PR with them in my next race.
Amazing Running Shoes!
These running shoes are amazing for people with high arches who need lots of cushioning. Most of the running I do is on pavement or concrete so it is important to me to have shoes that soften the impact. These Nikes do the job well. I no longer have knee or shin pain when I run. I usually run about 20 miles a week but I have only had these shoes a month so I can not attest to their durability. I also love that they come in different widths because I have wider feet. As a warning, these shoes are not appropriate for people who need a lot of stability.

Great shoe for women with bunions
I run on the treadmill and occasionally outside. I have used the Vomero shoe since model number two. I have found that the Nike Vomero fits my foot best because of the wide toe box which gives room for my bunions. I do have narrow heals and the heal of the shoe seems to fit just fine. I have an extremley high arch and no gym shoe alone can support it. For anyone with a high arch, I would reccomend to get fitted for a foot insert at the Road Runner Sports Store. The Vomero shoe and customized insert has alivieated so much of the pain I can get in my feet after working out.
LOVE my vomeros
I have been running in my Vomeros for about 5 years. Originally I chose the Nikes so I could use the IPod nano chip. I recently bought a Garmin watch and thought I should try Asics, since some of my running friends wear them. I wore the Asics for about 3 runs and after an injury, I sent them back and got a new pair of my beloved Nike Vomeros. Injury gone, and loving my running. I run about 20 miles a week. I would definitely recommend them!

Looks/fits good, plenty of cushion
I teach fitness classes in these and run 3-10 miles when I can (3-4x per week. My high arch and instep makes finding comfortable, supportive running/exercise shoes a challenge. I've found these to be wide enough and cushioned plenty. I had to order a size up from my old Shox Experience pair, but these feel better (wider and more cushioned). I've used them on pavement mostly so far, but may use them primarily on the treadmill because they do appear to be wearing out quickly (tread under ball of foot).
Love these shoes!
I started with the Nike Vomero 3 and have never looked back. The 5 is the best shoe yet. I run about 15 miles a week plus I am a bootcamp instrutor - so I put these shoes to the test on the road and on trails. They are lightweight with lots of cushion. I suffer from stress fratures and as long as I get a new pair every 3 months my feet feel GREAT. The only thing I'm not crazy about are the color choices but that's really not important when it come to running shoes. :-) Love this shoe...will buy until they quit making them!
Love these shoes!
I wear these in the gym -- good arch support for weight-training and for cardio. The light weight is a definite plus. I wear them at work, too. I am a pediatrician, on my feet all day long. My feet feel even better at the end of the day than they do when I get out of bed in the a.m. I have a history of plantar fascitis and also arches that started out way too high and then fell. These shoes are great.
Womens Nike Zoom Vomero+5 Shoe
I love these shoes! I used to wear asics nimbus until i discovered these about 1.5 months ago and would never again switch to another pair of asics. Never have i felt such cushion like the vomero before and breathabilty is to good for words. I just wish i would have found them alot sooner before i spent years of running without them. I run 76 miles a week and cross train in another pair of nike's I own and Nike is the way to go. Great shoes for someone who needs that extra cushion and breathability. High mileage shoe for sure!!!Wont be disappointed.
I am on my second pair of Volmero+5's and I absolutely love them. I run 50-60 miles a week in them and have had no problems. I am also happy with their durability; I was able to get 500 miles out of the first pair before replacing them. Previously, I wore Nike Air Max. The cushioning on the Volmero is just as good, but the Volmero is lighter and the toe box is wider, which is great for avoiding blisters. I will definitely purchase these again.
I now have a pair in each color!
I run in my vomeros four times a week, ranging from 6 - 15 miles each run. I run both on the treadmill and the road. The vomeros are comfortable and durable. At first they felt a little too wide but once I tightened the laces at the bottom they were fine.
This is now my running shoe of choice and I love the color range - I have a pair of each.
I highly recommend this shoe for distance training and also for racing half and full marathons.

Voom Voom Vomero+ 5 Sensational Shoes
I am an avid trainer who works out 6 times a week. For years i have struggled with shin splints and pain in my feet when I undertake any high impact exercise forcing me to take a step back in my training- that is until now - The Vomero has been the best shoe i have ever owned, running is a breeze, no more aches and pains and i am back to high impact aerobics 6 days a week. I found this shoe about 4 years ago and never looked back. You wont be disappointed!

LOVIN' these Vomeros!
My first pair of running shoes 3 years ago were Vomeros - I felt like I put on a pair of slippers.....I tried other brands to alternate, but none worked or felt as well. I now own 6 pairs - mostly Vomero 4 and 5. Someone once told me that if you find a shoe you love and works for you....stick with it, so I have! And, Roadrunner has the BEST price on my favorite shoes!
Womens Nike Zoom Vomero+ 5 running shoes
I thought the Vomero +4 were great but the +5 are even better. THey have better support through out the shoe, I have always worn these after trying Asics, these are the best for my running. I've had knee surgery so I need alot of cushion and these shoes feel great as soon as you put them on. I wouldn't buy anything else, my husband tried the mens and loves them as well!

Best running shoe!
This pair was a gift for xmas from my dad. He asked me what I needed and since I have only worn these shoes for running since finding them 3 years ago, I responded quickly. My current ones have about 500 miles on them so they are definitely worn out as I am getting shin splints and ankle aches after each run. I can't wait to get the new ones. I have never needed to break any of them in. Have always worn them for 6+ miles right out of the box. Great shoe!!!

Not a Nike fan, but....
I wasn't a huge runner until a couple years ago. I went through all kinds "running shoes" because I didn't know I needed arch support. I usually run in Saucony or New Balance. But since my friend got me the NIKE+ for my ipod I thought I would invest in a Nike shoe just for small runs. These shoes are extremely soft and its great on my knees. Haven't taken them on a 5+ mile run, but so far they are great!
