Men's NIKE® FREE RUN+ 3 :: Wouldn't you love to have the freedom and flexibility you feel when running barefoot - without the fear of landing on a pokey stick or rugged asphalt? Now you can enjoy cushioning, flexibility and that lightweight feeling when you slip into the men's Nike® Free Run +3. These ultra-light trainers weigh in at a mere 8.7 ounces and will provide your feet - and legs, knees and back - with a light-as-a-feather ride, minus the "ouch" factor. Your feet will slip into these shoes like a glove, and the shoe's design will let them move naturally for a better run. With their snug fit, superior flexibility and lightweight support where you need it, the Nike® Free Run +3 will take your "barefoot" running experience to a whole new level. Nike+ ready. 8.7 ounces
I had over 1000 miles in my free run+ and finally needed a replacement. I assumed these would be better than original, but I was wrong. Nike really messed up with this shoe by putting a tongue back in it. I loved the "sleeve style" of the originals and now these are just like regular running shoes without the cushioning. Disappointed in Nike...

More restrictive but still Free Run feel
I am a midfoot striker, 20-40 mpw runner. I loved the original Free Runs and never wore the FR2's. These have that great Nike flexibility and natural landing. They are tighter due to the support "bands" in the material and the redesign did away with the slip-on architecture, which is a minus to me. To compensate I found the spot were the shoe was most restrictive and skipped that eyelet when I laced them up. It took some of the pressure off but the shoe is still relatively tight across the tops of the toes. I did end up swapping my usual Nike size for the next 1/2 size up which helped without feeling too sloppy. Overall, an above average minimalist type shoe. I'm hoping the upcoming FR4's revert back to the original design.
Always one of the most comfortable shoes
I owned a pair of Nike Free 5.0 that I loved but for some reason did not go back to frees with my next couple purchases. I guess that I thought that I needed additional options that gave more support for running and working out since I'm a pretty big guy (about 220) and I know these shoes are supposed to resemble barefoot running. That said, I'm just sorry that I did not buy another pair sooner. I may not be able to consistently run 5 miles a day in them given my knees but they are awesome for at the gym and the occasional run. I feel faster just lacing up. I hope Nike keeps up the good work with the Free line - awesome shoe.
I use this to run on the treadmill. As a supinator I need a cushioned shoe, so I have been wearing the Nike Vomero as it is a great shoe for my foot, but I couldn't resist trying this shoe because it was on sale. I thought it would be like the web-foot shoes where you're pretty much running bare foot, but it couldn't be more of the opposite! From the first step I noticed a significantly cushioned sole and support to my arch, which I wasn't expeciting with it being a "free run" shoe. It was a little tight so I would suggest getting a half size bigger, nevertheless, it feels great! I may have found a new type of shoe for me. I would highly recommend this shoe!
Great, but kind of Short/Smallish?
These shoes are great.
good comfort for arch
shoes are a little small. I am a size 9.5 true to size, but I always order size 10 on every shoe no matter what. These I ordered in Size 10, they felt like size 9.5. I feel like the next one I order should be size 10.5.
There isn't any real cushioning around the ankles which may pose a problem to some, but not me. It's a real great shoe otherwise. Long as you aren't playing in door soccer in these and get kicked in near the ankle.
Other than that, the shoe is great.
Great Shoe - Light weight
This shoe is debatable. It is very lightweight and is comfortable. It has no real padding around the ankle or foot. The material is nice, but it won't last long in mud and cross country running. This is solely just a gym shoe, concrete or grass running shoe. I don't see this as a shoe to kick a ball with or run in harsh conditions. Would ruin and damage the shoe.
The other part is, most size 10's i buy have extra room. These are a bit smaller, a bit narrow, but other than that, once they are broken into, they are great.
So darned comfortable!
Normally use Saucony Kinvara 3 or Nike Free shoes. I have numerous pairs of both. Ordered a pair of these Free Run 3 shoes and they showed up last Wednesday. Used them for a quick 5K this weekend. Yes, I went against conventional wisdom and put them on first for an event. So, so darn comfortable. WOW! My only complaint mirrors a previous poster, in that I wish Nike would have kept the sock-concept and not gone back to a conventional tongue. My right side did indeed slip to the side. Other than that, I was stoked!

Even better than the last!
i've own the Free run 1, 2, and now the 3, these are the best looking and feeling of them all.
To be honest I only used the first 2 versions for walking shoes. but right now i'm using these for running and the 2s for walking. one thing I will note being a light weight "barefoot" type of shoe it will almost force you to run mid-foot. amazing.
I run 3-4 times a week for anywhere between 3-5 miles. I have flat feet and originally started out with heavy support asics. Then switched to a little less support with nike lunarglides. Got a pair of free runners and these were my second. They are very comfortable and give me enough support that if I strike with my heal I can keep going, and are flexible enough that they allow me to work on my stride to avoid heal strikes.
Best Option for me for a barefoot shoe!
I run in these shoes 4 times a week. My only question is on a low volume shoe like this is how long should they last? Should I expect 300 miles or 600 miles out of them? I have no experience yet but I did replace them after about 300 miles.
great shoe, but go with the V4
Theses shoes are awesome. These are my third pair. I am supposed to wear stability plus shoes but I run better in the free runs than anything else. They are my go to for 5 and 10k's.

Comfortable and lightweight
I usually run 6 to 8 miles 4 to 5 times per week. These are just for running; i have a seperate pair of shoes for the gym. Very comfy. Very lightweight. Makes me feel like I can run longer than before.
If you are on your feet all day when working (like I am) you will love them like I do! A must buy for runners and even if you walk! Personal Note: make to sure go a half size up from your normal foot size when buying them.
I rotate a couple of pairs for everyday training and racing. Able to run through the winter conditions with no real problems. Really enjoy the light weight and the ability to feel the road
Nice, light shoes. Had to exchange half a size up to get a good fit. I use them for P90x and P90x+ workouts. Good traction and support for high impact and speed work.
I wear it everyday, walking, running, and go to the gym and this is my third pair. I hope the model does not phrase out.
Great for all stages of runner!
I love these nike shoes. The first few days required a adjustment period for my feet, but once I got use to them they felt great.
My second pair
A great shoe if like the light weight feel of barefoot runners but aren't completely convinced you are one
I bought these for my 16 year old son. He loves the flexabilty how lite they are. Cool colors too!
Weightless dream slippers

Super light and comfortable
The shoes are super light and very comfortable. They fit about a 1/2 smaller than my Brooks.
Nike Free Run 3
Haven't used out on the pavement yet, but has made a difference on the elyptical; more comfortable.
My new favorite shoe
These shoes fit 1 size smaller on me. Otherwise a great buy.
