As a previous owner of the asics gel kayanos and brooks trance for the past 5 years, I decided to try something different, something lighter. I came across these shoes in the performance stability category and after some much needed research I decided to give them a try. I am so glad I did! As a college student- athlete (endurance), I needed to find something that would stay durable through my high mileage weeks. I have run in these shoes now for two whole weeks and I have seen my form improve after getting used to these shoes being extremely light compared to my previous pair of running shoes. The only con I have with them is the fact that it has a poor arch support. As a athlete with a high arch/instep, I had to put my inserts in within 10 minutes which has never happened before. However, after putting them in the shoe is perfect, the cushioning feels so good in these shoes. I ran seven miles the other day at a pretty good clip and had no complaints after word. In fact, I felt awesome!
I chose the all bright neon pair in a size 10.5. So, take this as a warning, for women with big sized feet don't be surprised if when you get any of the solid colors that the shoe makes your feet appear bigger, your feet are big you just have to face the fact then the shoes will grow on you and you'll love them. At first I hated the neon color and almost returned them because of that but now I love them and cant imagine switching them for a different color. They are attractive, catch peoples attention, and keep you safe at night. What more could you ask for?
In the end, if you are looking for a lighter shoe but not a barefoot running one, this is it! You might have to put inserts in but they still are a great shoe and still feel light. You won't regret this purchase. I am still trying them out but after a couple of middle mileage weeks I have no complaints.
Not great for hills/distance runs
I find all Nike are a little narrow and tight. They are very comfortable to stand and walk in but it definitely does not have the cushion where needed most for running. I've been training for a half and full marathon, and I find myself having a lot of knee problems after my long runs and hill days. I thought maybe I'm just adjusting to it and eventually it will get better. Race in them last Saturday for a 5k & a 10k back to back on the hilliest race course. I find there's not much cushion for the forefoot, and my toes get crushed in the toe box area a lot. I had painful blisters by the end of the race and my forefoot and plantar area was so sore. There's cushions but I feel that it doesn't absorb the pavement pounding like I wanted. Also the heel is a lot higher than the toe area, making me feel so unstable on hills. Maybe every runner is different, but I really prefer a minimalist shoes better. Got these pairs because they were on sale for less than half the price. Will use it for walking and normal day use and definitely not for training and racing anymore.

Wore These For My First Marathon!
I arrived in San Francisco three days before the Nike Women's Marathon - my first marathon! I'm assigned in Cairo, Egypt through summer 2013 and all my shoes have to be ordered through the APO, so it takes quite a bit of time to get new shoes. Despite purchasing the exact same pair of Asics I'd been training in for the past 5 moths, they weren't fitting like my old pair and I had a lot of pain. I didn't have time to order a new type of shoes to try out before my marathon. I walked into Niketown on arrival in San Fran and told them I wanted a pair of shoes I could wear for the marathon, and they recommended these. I loved how they felt from the first moment I tried them on. Great support, lightweight, snug but not tight. I purchased them and walked around the city for the next two days sightseeing, but didn't run on them before my marathon. I know, this is some sort of cardinal sin of marathon running, but I did it anyway. I ran in these for my marathon and they were fantastic! I finished in my goal time and didn't have any of the pain in my shins or feet I'd been having with my Asics! Great shoes and I'll be wearing Nikes from now on!
Great Training Shoe!
I love these. First I ordered the Vomeros but was having issues with them irritating my bunion, so I took them back in exchange for these. I guess I needed a stability shoe with a flexible toe box. These are so comfortable. I loved them as soon as I put them on. They are really light and make it feel like you can run faster :) I will probably order a second pair in a different color and rotate them during my training. (I run 5k/10k races, not marathons, FWIW). My longest runs are about 6-8 miles.
My one issue with the glides is that I have narrow ankles and big feet (size 10). The heel is stiff and the first time I wore these, I felt like I was getting a blister. This was easily solved by re-lacing the shoes in a way that makes them more snug to the foot (through the loops, not the holes) and also I wear bodyglide on my ankles and quarter socks. I haven't had a heel problem since taking these precautions.

Best shoe yet!!!
I run 60 miles a week and I ran a marathon in these and loved them. I have never had a shoe where I didn't have to adjust the laces to fit more snug around my ankle and that didn't come untied after 20 miles of running. I can also put my huge custom orthotics in these and they still feel almost perfect but the inserts that they work best with are the blue superfeet insoles. I have used them for 3 and a half years now and my podiatrist says they are one of the best he has seen. (the insoles are for someone who overpronates a bit, I think). So Nike better not change it too much as far as I am concerned :) My comment about poor traction is that I don't feel that comfortable on a super snowy New England day running my normal pace.

Pretty, but the heel is to high
I really wanted to like these shoes because they are so cute and really are super cushy. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, the heel is way to high. After one short run I had a blister on my achillies where it rubbed. I'm sad to have to return them, but I log a lot of miles and blisters just won't do. If the high heel isn't something that bothers you, then these are great shoes. They were comfy, soft, lightweight, and again, super cute. I also should mention that the white on the white/pink is really not white, it's more of a light grey color. I ordered 1/2 size up from my normal shoe but didn't need it, I would have been fine with my usual size.

great cushion in shoe but...
The shoe is super soft and comfortable inside and felt pretty good at the gym up until an hour into my workout. I noticed my the back of my heel was hurting. The shoe kept digging and rubbing in my heel. I thought maybe i needed thicker/longer socks to cover my heel completely. So the next day i wore thicker socks and the shoe continued to dig in my heel (it was not internal pain, it even made the back of my heels a little red and irritated). I've never had this issue with other shoes. I returned them after 2 days. If it weren't for that issue i would have kept them. I ended up getting the asics 2170 and so far so good!
Love my Nike LunarGlide shoes!
When I first started running a year ago I bought a pair of Nike running shoes. I loved them but after many happy miles decided it was time to get a new pair of shoes. I tried another brand for a couple of months and could just not get used to them. I returned them and got the Nike LunarGlides. From the first time I wore these shoes running I loved them! I have had these about a month and have not had much chance to run with them outside, but I have been running almost every day with them for the past month indoors on the track and treadmill and I am so glad I returned the other shoes! Love my Nike's!
Not a big Nike fan
My daughter has a pair of these, said they were very cushy, I am dealing with heel spurs so I thought I would give them a whirl..may be good for some, but not for me, they were cushy just to walk around in but uncomfortable for me. They felt very stiff I went on a 8 mile run to try them out and by mile 2 I was ready to toss them and look for my old worn out Brooks Ghost! The colors are cool but to look at the shoes in person, they actually look kinda cheap, never have been a big Nike fan, but I though I would try them out , and glad I did. Now I know, that they are not for me!
I have always bought Nikes and recently switched from the Lunareclipse to the Lunarglide, looking for a shoe that was a little lower in the heel(I am a mid-foot striker). Was pretty happy with the 3+, and was excited to try the 4+. It literally feels like I am wearing high heeled shoes, and the high heel gets in the way when I run. The only improvement is that they are lighter. Also, the back of the shoe is high and hard and ripped up my achilles area(I have the pic of the bloody sock to prove it. NIKE: WE ARE NOT ALL HEEL STRIKERS!!! I now went out and got Ascics.
Love this shoe
I love this shoe. And I am a picky athletic shoe shopper. I'll be honest, I first bought it for the bright pink color. But this shoe has seen me through 8 hours a week in the gym, from spin class to weight lifting to an outdoor run. It is very comfortable and versatile. My only complaint is that because the shoe laces run through those little rope catches, the ropes have started to wear out and give way. I imagine those will soon break and the shoe will be finished, but this has been over the course of 5 months of active use (4 days or more a week).

I use my lunar glides for running, preparing for my first half marathon and I must admit the first day I wore them I actually was able to run a lot longer than before with my previous Nikes (that were the wrong fit for me). Running in the right shoe for you makes a BIG difference. The cushion offers support so your feet don't feel achy after adding miles to your kicks. I would definitely recommend this shoe to any runner!
Good lightweight trainer
I am a long time Asics fan and decided to go out on a limb and try a new lightweight shoe. These had good reviews so I thought I'd give them a go. Definitely fits the lightweight bill but lacking in forefoot cushioning. After the first few runs I developed blisters on the balls of my feet. A few more runs and they've gone away. Certainly not as cushy as my Asics and I probably wouldn't run further than six miles or so in them but a solid lightweight trainer.
Fantastic shoe for gym
I am an avid runner training for a marathon and needed a shoe that was great for the gym...spin class, weightlifting, elliptical and stair climber. It has met all expectations. I haven't bought Nikes in over 20 years because they always seemed so narrow for my feet. These shoes are very comfortable and for great! I haven't used them for running yet. I do use my orthotics in these shoes and they fit in easily.
Not what I expected
I love Roadrunner Sports and have always had great luck with every purchase of Nike sneakers. However, this time I was sadly disappointed in the shoe, not the Roadrunner Sports. ;-) I'm an average width (B) and these sneakers had very little toe room. I felt like my feet were bound up. I am returning them and will be selecting something different. Sneakers are such an individual thing, so I can't say these sneakers are horrible. They're just not right for me.
Great lightweight stability shoe
I was skeptical to order these after reading a few reviews of the heal because I tend to have issues with heals in shoes. I gave in and ordered since these were a lightweight stability shoe. I've ran about 7 miles in these as well as my normal gym routine and I'm very happy with my purchase. If you are looking for a lightweight affordable stability shoe I would definitely recommend these.
Not true to size
Product recommends order 1/2 size up. I ordered my actual size (9, normal width) and the shoe was actually too wide in the toes and extra space in the heel and toes causing foot to move around too much while wearing the shoes. This will be the first return I've ever made however this is also the first Nike product I've purchased in years. I normally wear Brooks.
I do kickboxing and runs during the week, and these shoes are great for both. They're more breathable and lightweight than the 3s, but 3s have a little more arch support. Overall a good shoe for those with pronation problems. I've tried Asics and different kinds of running shoes, but these are the only model that hasn't given me blisters.
This was the first time I have ever gotten any type of shoes by the internet. I was pretty scared, but took a chance. I love this nike shoe. Will get another pair in another color soon. I am a size 10 and did not need to size up, it fit perfect. I get many compliments at the gym and wear them all the time now.
Spin runner maniac
Good bounce, lightweight
You can definitely feel the bounce and the cushion when you run in these. Got one blister once in the heel on the second run in these but have run many times since and that hasn't been a problem, possibly just a breaking in issue or wrong socks? I love the color (I got the light purple ones) and they are super light weight.

Comfortable and Light!!!
Have had these shoes for about three weeks now and I absolutely love them!! I ran a 5k several days ago and my feet felt awesome. I have had no problems with the backs of the shoes rubbing my feet like some of the other reviewers had indicated. I have considered buying a second pair. Well worth the money!!
Didn't think I'd like this shoe...
The shoe was more comfortable than I thought it would be. Not exactly 'poor' arch control for pronation problem, but would've liked a little more support. BUT that might have restricted the shoe from allowing my foot to land naturally. No knee or leg problems, so I guess all together, a very good shoe!!
I am one who over pronates. The thought was that this shoe along with the custom insert would be sufficient control for me. After a week of running in them, I noticed some pain in my foot that I had never had before. I went back to a different shoe to avoid possible long term injury.
Oh I wish...
First, in all fairness...I'm between a neutral and stability.
This shoe looks Amazing. Colors are cool!
Too much stability for me. However, if you need a stability shoe...this is it...light weight and awesome colors!!!!
If no stability is for you...really digging nb 890v2
I run long distances and need a stability shoe! I ran 17 miles in these shoes and they felt so light and had so much cushion! Love them! I do need 1/2 size larger because by the end of my run my toes were numb from hitting the end of toe box! Order a half size larger.
I tried three different brands before settling on these. These were so cushiony and I could feel my feet sink into the cushion as I ran. I've only used these on a treadmill so far. I'm a heavy runner and need a lot of cushion and these fit the bill.
Very happy with this version from Nike!
This is my fifth pair of Nike's in the "lunar" family in the last six years and I am very happy with these. I purchased the light grey/pink color combo and love it. I'm going to purchase another pair so I'm set for when these run out.

Great running shoes
Great light cushioned shoes! I run at least 4 miles a day and these shoes added speed to my workout and I don't have knee or ankle pain. Very cushioned and light. Bought a second pair since I expect them to "live" 3-months. Get 1/2 size up.
New York City
Great for supinators
I am supinated and have partial torn my Achilles' tendon so making sure that my ankle is properly supported is a must. Don't want to be in that boot again.
Great shoe if your situation matches mine
Ps I'm on my 3rd pair.
"day in day out"
i run most morning on the tread mill< the shoe is just the best! even run on the road great all around! i so between 120 to 160 miles per month and the shoe hols up well
