I first bought the Nike Free 5.0 when they came out a few years ago and ran in the same shoe, multiple races and marathons for over two years without complaint. I only looked for a new shoe because my toes were starting to show through the upper fabric. I like the minimalist style and feel the 3.0 is the closest to what I've been running in for the past year, after wearing down my shoes to almost nothing. My only complaint (and reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that the tongue is attached to the shoe, so the laces are really uneccesary. In fact, I even took my laces out and find that it's much more comfortable that way and I can just slide the shoe on and off. It looks a little funny that way, but I care more about comfort than style.

Very comfortable. The sole design is supportive, yet thin enough that I can feel everything under my foot, which gives me more awareness of my environment and therefore more stability and confidence (like a lowered race car that can really hug the road). Extremely light-weight, flexible, breathable, and have great traction on most surfaces. I'd say the only con to these shoes are that they loose their grip on gym floors when the sole is dirty. I usually wipe them down when I get to the gym and they get their amazing grip back. Its true you may have to get a half size larger. The pink and grey colors get a lot of attention.
Love these Shoes
I love the Nike Frees. I just started transitioning to the 4mm drop a few months ago and these are great. I have narrow feet therefore I don't find the small foot hole to be a problem. These may not be the best shows for someone with wider feet as the tongue is attached. I don't suggest running on trails with these because rocks will get in between all of the bottom slits what help the shoe move with your natural foot movement. These do run a little small. Smaller than version 4. If you are worried about room for your toes, order the shoes a half size larger than your normal running shoe size.
Not for long distance
I get lots if compliment on how good looking these are. I got them initially for running, but if I do anything over 2 miles my feet get so sore! I now mostly use them for casual bike rides or walking. I would definitely recommend something else for running though. I have narrow feet and I feel that they fit very well width wise. I ordered a half size up and I'm glad I did. Made the for perfect! Slightly difficult getting your foot into if you're in a hurry. Great everyday walk about shoe though!

I've run up to 11mi long runs on the treadmill and love how comfy they are. I Ordered a half size up based on other reviews and they fit perfectly. Toe box is roomier than the 5's. Tongue is now sewed in so it doesn't shift like previous models. I didn't think I would like the knit-like cover but as soon as I put them on I knew how cool they were. The black squares on bottom wore out after my first run, so I question how long they will last. Other than that, love them.
Great for Narrow Feet
It's difficult to find narrow shoes at a reasonable price. I overheard someone complaining that she had a hard time getting her wide foot into this shoe and I thought "eureka!" I'm a 9.5 AAA or AA in street shoes. I had to get 10.5 in these. I did wear them for a full day out and about and they felt great despite my arthritis and connective tissue problems. Today I wore them to the gym where I run on treadmill and do circuit training. Shoes are perfect for me.
Great shoe! Order size up!
So light and comfortable these are great running shoes. Love the Nike Free line. Only problem is they are VERY difficult to get on (actually had to dig out an old shoe horn!). Hoping it'll become easier as they wear in. DEFINITLEY order a half size larger, could've even gone up a whole size. Odd, as I've never had to mess with size issues with Nike and I've been wearing them all my running life. This was a first, thankfully I followed the feedback of others.
These are great running shoes that are multi-purpose. They are feather light and very comfortable. The best part was that I didn't have to break them in. The only downside I can think of is how difficult it is to get my foot in the shoe. Some might even need a shoe horn to help slid the foot in. Overall a beautiful running shoe, looks great on and I wouldn't even change the one con I mentioned.
Love. These. Shoes.
Followed the advice of others and ordered half a size larger than I normally would - I am a 6.5 and ordered a 7 - and the shoes fit perfectly.
I absolutely LOVE these shoes. Comfortable, good looking, and really get the job done no matter what I am doing. I run, walk, hike, yoga, lift, and do strengthening circuits, and these shoes have performed well no matter what.
Never bought Nikes before, so so so happy I bought these.
Light weight and natural feel
This is the best natural shoe I've ever worn. Very light weight, allows natural foot movement and bend, and low heel-toe drop. Reasons for rating a 4 rather than 5 are tread wears out very quickly (probably a trade-off for the light weight); doesn't come in widths; and thick seams around rear center of heel collar sometimes irritate. But overall still the best natural shoe I've ever worn.
A little too free
This is the first time I have used this particular Nike Free shoe. I usually buy the 4.0 or 5.0. I am not as big of fan of this one as of the others. They are okay, and I will use them until they wear out, but I will go back to the other style. They are a little to "free" feeling. They don't make my feet feel stable enough when I run.
Tried and true
Tried the nike free 5 and those caused my feet to hurt badly. The nike frees have been great for me till the free 5. I returned those and went back to the free 3. They felt like a welcome relief! Live these shoes. I wear with orthotics, but also occasionally wear without and my feet seem ok either way.

I bought this shoe in pink w/ 1/2 up, after reading the reviews. It is totally comfortable. The only thing I don't really like is that you have to slide your feet in, because it doesn't open up. You have to wear really thin socks, otherwise I love working out in them ;p
Love these. Very lightweight and breathable. Helped a lot with my shin splints. They are also super cute! Definitely not for a very long run, but when I do short runs (4 miles) they are perfect. Came in just a couple days and customer service was superb!

Great Lightweight Shoe
I have these in 2 different colors and each color fits differently. I ordered the dark pink a half size bigger than I normally wear and they were on the verge of being too small. I ordered the purple a half size larger than I normally wear and they are perfect!
Love this shoe
I am training to walk a marathon, and these shoes are awesome for long walks and short faster ones too. So comfortable - like wearing a sock with a sole. I have always loved the Nike Free line, and this is defintely the best yet.

Not for orthotics
I bought these hoping to use them for cross fit and strength training. I bought a full size up from my dress shoe size but they did not fit. The tongue is attached to the shoe so there wasn't any ability to loosen them. They were way too small when I put my orthotics in so they are going back.
I've run in these shoes at the gym and outside and they feel great. Very light and comfortable, literally no break-in time required. Slightly harder to put on compared to my older pair of Nike Free, but totally worth it. I highly recommend these shoes.
Love these shoes!
These Nike 3.0s feel awesome on. They are like slippers. They have great arch support and are extremely lightweight. Not to mention that they look great! I did a lot of research before buying them and I couldn't be happier.
My Absolute Favorite Shoe
I absolutely love these. This is the second pair I have owned and more than likely, I will only be buying this shoe from now on. They are tight and light. It barely feels like I have a shoe on. They fit perfectly and my feet don't slip around at all.
Ventura County, CA
Good shoe, tight on toes.
I am a moderate runner. I love these shoes. They have great support, cushion and are super lightweight. I wear a size 10 in all my nukes and these are rather snug on the toe, its the only pitfall! Overall a good shoe!
Fort Smith, AR
My feet did not complement well with it
Maybe good for walking but not for extreme cardio or combat with plenty of jumping. I thought that it would be suited for my gym use in cardio training/combat, but did not work for me. Feet hurt during and after extreme cardio/combat work out. Maybe it will work for some.
Love my new nike frees. My foot is a little wide and Nikes don't always fit me, but these are great! I find myself looking for excuses to wear these besides just at the gym. Probs gonna get another color, maybe two!
I want this shoe in many more colors :)
I bought these for my vacay in a very hot climate. They're perfect. Amazing customer service. I got these in 2 days and I live in Canada. The low store cost make the shipping fees well worth it. Thx!
Great shoe but runs super small!
I got this shoe for my daughter and had to send the first pair back because they were too small, I went up a whole size and it barely fits her. She has less than 3/4 inch of wiggle room.
I ordered a half size larger as others suggested. I'm glad I did because these do run small. I could even have gone up a full size and been ok.
Love these shoes!!
I wear these to workout in the gym, walk many miles, jog, and work as a trainer 8-10 hours a day.
Runnemede, New Jersey
Excellent feel. Very lightweight. Buy 1/2 size up.
I would buy it again
Great , you have to buy 1/2 size bigger
