I run 3-5 miles a day and walk 3-4 to warm up and cool down. Most runs right now are indoors. I have a normal arch and pretty stable gate. I havr a slight inwarde pronation. No major chronic injuries.
My previous pair or shoes was the Lumar Glide 4 which I loved. Very cushioned but not a lot of stability which didnt hurt unless I didn't tighten my laces. The Glide 5 seem to have more stability, and less cushion. I after would say the shoe was perfect if it has the cushion of the 4 with the support of the 5. The only weird thing is I got a blister on the back of my left achellies during my first run. It healed and the problem hasnt returned. The back does appear to be a tad higher. I like the shoe but might try a different model/btand mext time. I also run with the blue superfeet cushioned insert too.
I purchased this product because I was an avid lover of the Lunarglide 4. Was a great cushion fit, great toe box, true to size, light weight. Everything you would want was in the 4. So I purchased this 5 thinking that it had to improve or at least stay the same. Needless to say, "my opinion" the 4 is still by far the better shoe. This shoe lacked the cushion and it seems the toe box is a bit bigger, more roomy than the 4 which make for a loose fit on my foot. Only good for running on pavement. The heel seems like it's higher in the back and rubs a bit. And also seems it has more stability. Just not a shoe for me. I like the 4 better, but the search continues for the perfect running shoe for me.
Two Months Later
I gave the shoe two months to grow on me, but instead I find myself very disappointed with the Lunar Glide + 5.
1) The arch support is non-existent. It should be labeled "Neutral".
2) I run between 10-18 miles/week in them and the treads are already almost completely worn smooth.
3) When you have to do shuttle sprints or any move that requires a quick change of direction then your foot slides all around in the shoe.
They are great looking shoes. If they were more supportive then I would at least wear them to teach my group ex classes. As they are, I'd have to buy a supportive insert just to make them wearable. Instead, I'll return them for something else.
Not as Supportive as I expected.
I'm currently training for the Spartan Beast and I need a shoe that can handle 25+ miles/ week and a ton of burpees, etc. I'm flat footed, but never had an issue until I stepped up my mileage. This shoe is comfortable, light, and looks great. I also appreciate that it doesn't have any seams that could rub, but the arch support wasn't what I was expecting. Even for someone that is flat footed, when I put my foot in the shoe I can't even feel the sock liner beneath the arch of my foot. I know that this model is supposed to mold to your foot. Hopefully in time that will happen... And hopefully it happens before my feet take a beating.
Love these shoes. They were bought as a replacement for my Lunarglide 4s. I ALWAYS wear a 9 in Nike, without exception. This was true with these shoes too. Although I see why people say they run small. They definitely fit smaller than the Lunarglide 4s, but not enough that I needed to get a bigger size. The Atomic Pink is so much cuter in person. Very vivid and looks like it would glow in the dark. These provide good support and are not like the barefoot style that seems so popular lately, although they are lightweight. For reference, I run 3 miles daily, am heavier (165) and a moderate overpronator.

Wears quickly but keep buying more....
Love this shoe! The only negative is that it wears so fast! I have tried to replace this shoe but have had no success finding something that fits as well. I need just a little support and this shoe fits the bill! I have a narrow heel, wide toe box and again this shoe is perfect for that! During marathon training, I did get some friction/slight blistering on the tips of my 2nd toes but nothing severe and only with the longer distances. These shoes are light and breathable too! Again, just wish they would last longer :/
Light and Fast
Wore out my Asics training for a marathon. Although very cushioned, the Asics always felt heavy and threw my balance off. As soon as I slipped these puppies on my time improved by over 1:00/per mile, no joke.
Balance is perfect near the front of my foot, comfortable. Ran 20 miles the 2nd week I got them and had no discomfort or chafing. No breaking in time needed, these feel great.
I'm going to use them for my marathon in 2 weeks. Other reviewers say they wear out fast, I haven't had them long enough to tell, but they will last long enough to serve their purpose for my marathon.
Lightweight yet Powerful!
I wear these beautiful shoes on my runs on the pavement and they are WONDERFUL. I feel like I can sprint for long distances while wearing them -- they almost feel like track racing shoes. I have flexible high arches and these are superb with the custom inserts from Road Runner. Highly recommend for high arches, pavement runners, and the occasional sprinter. Another ace from Nike!

Like, not love
I always wear nikes to run and work out. I like these, but I don't love them. I like a little more cushioning. I have found that on long runs my feet hurt ( not the muscles or tendons, but just general tired feet). And after wearing these for a few months, I am experiencing knee pain, which for me, is a sign that the shoe has worn out. I will keep them for my gym workouts because they are pretty comfortable. But I'm going back to my beloved Pegasus!

The Right Shoe in the Right Colors
What a great shoe. I love how Nike makes shoes that are seamless. This shoe seems to hug my foot like a comfy blanket. It provides just that little support that I need to balance out my stride. This is my second pair of shoes that I alternate with my first to prevent injuries while I am marathon training. Not to mention, the green and blue are very close to Seahawks colors. All around a great shoe.

Great Lightweight Running Show
I run about 28-32 miles per week. I switched to LunarGlides about 4 years ago after getting frustrated with my big toes forever popping through Asics 2100s. I've worn them through half and full marathons and never had an issue. I bought the 5s to replace my old 4s which had worn out after about 400 miles of use. I did notice that the 4s wore out more quickly than previous LunarGlide models, and expect the same with the 5s.
Comfortable but wears out quickly
Like runner1975, I wore this shoe out in 6 weeks. I am running an average of 25 to 30 miles/week, mostly on roads. I have worn previous versions of the LunarGlide and ran marathons in them; they definitely lasted longer than this version. I liked this shoe but if I got it again, I'd use it for short distances only and get a more durable shoe for marathon training.
On my 3rd pair!
I was never a fan of Nike for running, but I am now on my 3rd pair of Lunar Glides. I have trained for and ran two half marathons in this shoe, along with many mid-distance runs and races. This shoe is very durable and comfortable on both pavement and gravel. I am typically a size 8 and these are very true to size. And they have great color options!
The only shoes my daughter will wear
My daughter is a competitive high school miler and cross country runner. She was fitted for the Nike Lunarglide+ 3 years ago and won't let me buy her anything else. Last year she ran in two pair of Lunarglide+4s. This year we bought the Lunarglide+5s. My only complaint is that the bottoms wear smooth very quickly. I wish they'd make the soles more durable.
Hooked on Lunarglides
I was not a Nike fan until I tried my first pair of Lunarglides. I'm a slow runner so on a half marathon I'm out there over 3 hrs to finish so need something my feet are comfortable in. I have 3 pr of Lunarglide 3s, 2 pr and Lunarglide 4s and this is my first pair of Lunarglide 5s. My old ones are my shoes I wear to work cause feet or comfortable all day.

Great shoes but wear out quickly
I love these shoes. They've solved the majority of my issues with plantar fascists. I put about 15 miles on them a week outside plus gym workouts, which include 2 cross-fit style classes and a day on a treadmill or stair stepper The only problem? They last only about 3-4 months before I literally wear the tread down to the white cushioning.

I will never stray from Nike again!
When I began running, I wore a Nike Pegasus. I switched to an Asics product after the Nikes wore out and began my blister issues. These Nikes are so much more comfortable and the pitch of my foot inside the shoe is so much better than it was in the Asics. Definitely recommended.
Love it! I'm converted!
I have never liked Nikes for running, but I am now converted. This is my second pair of LunarGlides. With my first pair, I trained and ran a half marathon, a 10K and 3 5K races. I just started running in my new ones and I love them just as much. They have a great feel to them and are very durable.
Mom loves them!
I bought these for my over 80 year old mom. She absolutely did not want me to spend so much (thanks to the VIP I saved). She loves how comfortable they are right from the start. She unfortunately does not do a lot of exercise, only a short walk here and there. i'm happy she loves my purchase.

Only shoe my daughter will buy
My daughter runs high school cross country: the Nike Lunarglides are the only shoe she'll run in. She didn't like the colors available in the new 6s so I bought her another pair of the 5s: she's thrilled. My only complaint about these shoes is that the tread wears down very quickly.
Good Update but wears quickly....
Great update as I have never been able to wear any of the prior versions due to poor fit. This fits great, conforms to your foot; however, after having this shoe for approx. 6 weeks, the ball of the shoe is smooth already :(
cute but not enough support
bought this shoe to be a running shoe and it let me down. I had to go back to my Asics as this shoe did not have the support I am used to. After I ran in the shoes one time my knees hurt for 2 days. I ran 3 miles in them.
Picture is very accurate
These shoes don't take long to break in and are very comfortable. Iv'e gotten a lot of compliments because they are so cool looking. Im a runner and like nike style but i do not like nike for running. Wearing these shoes to school is great!
Awesome support and Relatively light
I do a bi-daily "boot camp" and I run approx. 20 miles per week.
The shoe is very comfortable and has lasted 4 months I am due for a new pair and will buy this style and make again. Made for wide feet:)

These shoes have helped me survive my painful shin splints! I'm very thankful to have found a pair of shoes like these! I highly recommend. Also the coloring is very stylish too!
I like 'em!
I always buy Nike's one half size larger and these were the same. I like the heal cup feature. Nice combination of cushion and stability. Not the best traction (for me anyway) on wet downhill roads.
I always find myself coming back to the lunarglide. It provides the right amount of support and cushion, and this time around they are incredibly light. Definitely pleased with my purchased.
Narrow toe box
Narrow toe box, took for a long run and, for the first time ever, ended up with several blisters. Loosening the laces did not help. Loved my previous Nikes but these seem to run narrow. Had to return.
Love These Shoes!
This is my 3rd pair of the Nike LunarGlide + 5 - I absolutely love this shoe. I run between 5-6 miles 3-4 times per week, and, to me, these are the best!
I would buy this product again
Great running shoe. Loved it, my second pair!! I didn't need to size up i'm a size 10 and 10 fit perfect!!!
