To my great disappointment, these shoes were not at all like the Vomero's of old. I had such high hopes! To me, these are just an adjustment of the Vomero 8's -- which were a horrible, flat, un-cushioned shoe. The 9's feel very much like the 8's with an added 1/8"-3/16" cushioning only in the heel (which it needed), but there is still NO cushion in the forefoot or mid foot. I have several uphills on my route, and it feels like my feet are Right. On. The. Pavement. These shoes feel pretty flat to me. They are almost like a Nike Free, and there is little bounce back when I strike my foot. I've been wearing exclusively Vomero's since finding the Vomero 2's, and loved them until the 7's yet still ran in the 7's as the heel-to-toe slope was still good and there was some cushioning. The 8's were a mess. It felt like a total revamp of the line and it led me to believe that Nike was not going to make cushioned shoes anymore. To me, the 9's are very similar to the 8's, so I'm wondering if the Vomero line is completely scrapped at this point. I run 4-5 miles every morning, 7 days a week, and so I feel like I know every nuance of my shoes. One last thing, just like the 8's, the 9's have little breathability, and my feet were on fire after 1 mile. For 9 years I've only worn Vomero's, so this will be a big change for me to find a new brand with lots of forefront cushion, and good heel lift. Why can't they just go back to the old Vomero's specs? It had been such a great shoe through the years.
LOVE these Vomeros
I have a narrow foot and a high arch. I prefer a sock like fit and a shoe that feels light when I strike the pavement. I gave up on Nike about 10 years ago because the shoes kept getting wider, boxier, and heavier. I could not find a single model that fit like my beloved 2:40s and 2:35s from a decade ago. I ran in Brooks for awhile but I never really loved them. When I saw these 'new' Vomeros I was skeptical but I decided to try them anyway.
Thank goodness I did. I LOVE THESE SHOES!!! Thank you Nike for getting rid of the shoes that made me feel like I was running with tissue boxes on my feet. These are perfect! I will be ordering more immediately.

I was so happy to read that others have not liked the Zoom Vomero since the Vomero 6 or earlier versions. I thought it was just me. I have not been nearly as happy with the Vomero 7 but kept ordering them because I disliked the Vomero 8 as soon as I put them on. I decided to give the Vomero 9 a try and ran in them for the first time yesterday. HOORAY!!!! These are even better than the older versions that I loved. It is the perfect shoe for me! I am getting ready to order more before they change them again! They are super comfortable and fit like a glove. The cushion feels great. I am a 57 year old female who runs marathons. I can hardly believe how great they feel! I am so excited!!
Love Love Love!!
I've been running for a little over 2 1/2 years. The first pair of running shoes I invested in were the Vomero 7's. I have tried Saucony, Asics and New Balance in between, and always come back to the Vomero. I have just purchased my FOURTH pair the Vomero 9. I love the midfoot cushioning, flexibility of the shoe, and most of all the fly wire lacing which gives me a custom made fit. I am considered a heavy runner (bc of weight) and run 16-20 miles per week. I have a wide forefoot and these shoes offer plenty of toe room.
I don't think I am a 'gym rat' but I run 20-30 miles/week on normal pavement or treadmill conditions. I am a die hard Pegasus nut but I accidentally got the wrong size last round. They were in between 30s and 31s and I wasn't a fan of any available colors so I decided to branch out...I adore this shoe, I am converted. The cushioning is perfect for longer runs (10+) but doesn't over do it on shorter runs (5k) or mild speed work. The upper is extremely comfortable and the toe box is perfect for my rather boxy toes. All around great!

Best Running I have ever worn!!!
I have extremely high arches also known as "dancers feet", I was having bad knee problems due to runners knee. I was desperate and bought these shoes two days before running the Seattle half marathon. No time to break them I was a little bit worried, they worked perfect! My feet had no blisters no thing. I finally clocked my 300 miles on them and bought the same exact pair and color because I loved them so much and right before my next half! Great purchase great shoe!
Felt great first time I laced them up!
This shoe is awesome! Prior to the Vomero 9 I had worn 3 pairs of the Vomero 6. They fit my foot well, I have short toes and a wide toe pad. Couldn't get the Vomero 6 anymore so I got the Vomero 7. I didn't like it at all, only wore for 2 1/2 months. I wasn't ready to give up on the Vomero yet though. So I sent the Vomero 7 back, skipped the 8 and went straight to the Vomero 9. This shoe is great, lightweight, good cushion and it just fits my foot so well!
Great for Treadmill Walking/Running
I ONLY walk and run on the treadmill at: 8-12% incline, 4.7-5.3 miles per hour, 6-10 miles daily. I have 2 pairs of Vomero +6 that I love but they are no longer available. I have 4 pairs of brand new shoes (New Balance, Sauconey & other Nikes), none works on the treadmill - too slippery and makes me worry that I will either fall or hurt myself. I bought my Vomero +9 yesterday and just completed my 10-mile walk/run for today - great shoes!! Highly recommend for treadmill walking and running.
My new favorite shoes
I tried Vomero model 8 and haven't looked back. I wore them for over 500 miles. Sadly, I had to move on and decided on the newer Vomero 9 and I am not disappointed. Lots of cushion. Neutral shoe in order to accommodate my orthotics. Very light and breathable. Should've bought 2 pairs! I did buy 1/2 size up and in the wide version since they run small and a little narrow for my wide feet. I'm happy they come in wides.
I did not like this new model at all
I'm a distance runner and I converted to nikes last year with the Vomero 8's, which I really liked. The time came to switch out my shoes so I thought I would try the new model 9. At first they felt pretty good support wise and we're fine when I wore thick socks (it's been cold) but when the weather warmed up and I was able to wear lighter socks, the backs of the shoe literally tore up the backs of my heels. I traded them back in for Vomero 8's again.
Yay! It's back!
It's back! My Vomero that I loved until version 7. I have found a couple of shoes that were O.K., but nothing compared to my old Zoom Vomero's. These are cushy and have a great ride, and my heel doesn't slip like in the 7's and 8's. I run about 50 miles a week, and my legs feel great in these shoes. They run true to Nike sizing. I would recommend to anyone who loved the earlier versions of this shoe.
Linda in Washington
I run 4 days a week, 25-30 miles a week.I took these right out of the box, no breaking in nessacary and went for a 6 mile run, felt like I was running on clouds. Love the Fuchsia color, vibrant, happy color makes you wanna put your shoes and go for a run! These are the model of the Vomeros that remind me the most of Vomero 4 and 6 which were my favorites. Love them.
Fit Like a Glove!
I run with my dog everyday and find these shoes to really give me great support and cushion. I also bought the custom inserts which I highly recommend! One of the best features of the shoes are the traction soles. If I have to stop suddenly the shoes really grip the road or floor which I think would be great for agility training.
Good looking and comfortable shoe
I needed shoes that would be comfortable for a lot of walking, mostly on hard surfaces. Because of ongoing troubles with plantar fasciitis and related heel pain, I needed to put orthotic insoles into the shoes. This works beautifully in the Vomero model. So far...so good.
Fits like a glove!
I have a high arch and wear orthotics. My orthotic is about 1/2 inch thick at the heel and fits nicely into the shoe. I run mostly on the treadmill or pavement. The shoe is flexible, so you get a quick push off. Great cushioning. Plan to buy another pair.
like walking on pillows!
just got these shoes, size 5.5 for walking and short runs (I use Newtons for longer 5 miles and more runs). They are so comfortable! I feel like I am walking on pillows, very light, breathable and eye catching with the bright yellow accents toward the rear of the shoe.

Very comfortable shoe
I wear these for walking and for casual wear. I have the grey with purple trim, which looks great. They are very cushioned feeling and nice and wide in the toe box. They would also be great for road running. I wear them with inserts, which fit inside well.
Early Bird Walker
I run about 6 miles every other day, but I'm old (60s) so I need stability and cushioning....this Vomero fits the bill. It is SO much better than the old ones I was getting to save a few bucks. It looks and feels great. Hope it lasts well. We will see.....

Best Vomeros ever
These shoes felt so good when I first put them on that I immediately called and ordered another pair. I walk about 4 miles a day every day and they feel comfortable, lightweight and perfect . They are so much better than my old Vomeros 5.

I love these shoes. I have been running for 4 years now and the vomeros are awesome !!
I love the color variations as well.
They are comfortable and this is my 7th pair and they have remained true to size, comfort and quality throughout the various pairs
nd to return these
I would love these but they are too narrow across the middle of the foot for me and hurt my foot after about an hour. I must return them. For someone with average feet (mine are not) they would be super. Light and cushiony. Sorry just don't work for me.
Toe box and cushioning are great
I have had 3 foot surgeries and unfortunately can not run anymore. These shoes are very comfortable. The toe box is roomy, cushioning is great. First time wearing them I walked 5 miles. No blisters no rubbing and accommodated my orthotics.
Back to the Vomero I loved....
The Vomero was my go to sneaker before the 7, I feel as though my old favorite is back with the 9!
I run 4-5 days a week , mainly on roads & these feel great...........like they used to!
I am happy they are back.
I've been wearing these shoes for 9+ years, training for everything from 10k to marathon, and triathlon as well. They work great, are very comfortable & I've never had a problem with them.
Love these shoes
I'm a vomero fan... I've loved them since my first pair I bought 2 years ago. This latest version has all of the cushy, durable & supportive features of my past shoes, but feels lighter & sleeker.

Love this shoe
I wear my shoes to walk everyday. I walk 5 miles and this shoe is light and really comfortable. I also have two other pair I use to work in and I'm on my feet all day. Great pair of shoes!
I'm no longer a runner, but I appreciate a good running shoe for walking. The 8 1/2 wides I got were good and wide--ahhhhh! Very comfortable right out of the box. Very happy with these shoes!
Shoes Working Out Really Well!
I am training for a half marathon and needed a shoe that would be comfortable for long runs - this is it!! The shoe has a wide toe box, which I need, so I find them very comfortable.
Comfotable.. Exactly as expected
Great Shoe! Same as previous styles. Comfortable. Durable. Wear 12 hours standing/day! Does run 1/2 size small. Normally 9. Ordered 9.5. Fits perfectly.
Worn Vomero Zoom for several years. Have a wide foot and was disappointed that my only color choice was neon green. That's my only complaint.
