I fell in love with the Nike Free Run 3, went through two pairs and was surprised to find the new version (the first attempt) Nike Free 5.0 was so different. Sizing was way off, had to return the first pair for 1/2 size up (7.5 instead of my usual 7 in Nike, which is already up 1/2 size vs. other brands) but was still snug.
When I saw they had a new version of the 5.0 I decided to take a chance and order my previous size and behold, it's a brand new design with original sizing! Toe box is nice and roomy for my slightly wide feet, same lightweight feel and flexibility. The tongue is totally different - strange, thin neoprene but it didn't cause any issues or discomfort. I did have a blister under my big toe while running a relay with hills which I'd never had before, but it resolved quickly and no problems since. They have enough cushion to use for up to half marathon.

Better after a while
I've worn all versions of frees for years. I use them for short runs, walking, shopping. You name it, I live in them. This version is not as cute as the previous version, but the upper does break in and the fly wire is outstanding. If anything, I found myself wearing them loosely and it was better. They don't slip even at top speed and they are great for the gym. I got two pairs for myself for Christmas and plan to buy more as prices drop:)

Love Nike Frees
Love these shoes. I started running recently with an old pair of Nike Free Run and upgraded to these new ones recently. Absolutely love them. The first run caused one blister on the side-ish of my left foot, kind of around the ball of the foot area, but that's it. I am okay with that one blister. I have put on over 50 miles so far and no complaints.
Would definitely buy again.
The shoes themselves look nice, and are fairly comfortable. I recommend ordering a half size up because the fit is very snug. I mainly just use them for light walking and once in a while for running on the treadmill, so I can't effectively say how durable they are.
Don't know about running in them......
I don't know about the shoe except they were what the 16 year old twins wanted for Christmas. My guess is that they are stylin' if you are that age. My daughter runs track but I do not know if she will run in these or not. Sorry I couldn't help out more

good stuff but do like my 3s better
Love the lightweight. Only problem I have is the start of the laces at mid foot is too tight it digs into my foot and leaves a red mark. I prefer the free runs 3 but this is a good shoe.
These shoes were purchased just for getting to and from classes/gym etc., not for running. For that, they are awesome. Not a shoe I would use for running, but that is not why they were purchased. :)
Comfortable, but too big
I bought these shoes a half size larger, when I normally wear an 8.5. Wish I would have purchased the 8.5 instead of the 9. Super cute and lightweight.

LOVE MY SHOES!!!
I love my new shoes, also recieved them so quick, and they are true to to picture on the road runners website.
Great for people who need flexibility!
I'm a dancer, and even at the gym I flex my feet a lot. These are lightweight and flexible, but still supportive.
It's the perfect long distance running shoe
I'm a frequent long distance runner. This shoe is perfect for me. I'll buy it again
I would buy this shoe again.
I am fairly new to running, and I like the lighter feel of the Free running shoes.
Not a Really Red
The shoe itself is fine. Unfortunately, the red color appears more pink than red.
The old frees are back!
The seamless Nike free is back! Good toe box minimal fit.
Excellent shoes, I would buy more!
Great shoes, all pros no cons. Fits perfect and light.
