Really like these

I really like these. Tried them on the advice of a friend. I have a natural midfoort strike so I didn't notice any changes in that but I did shave about 20 seconds per mile from my normal time. They are very comfortable but I would have sized up another half size from my street shoe size. I'm planning to run short runs in these so my feet will not swell much and I'll be able to use them without any problems. The ride is a tad firm and I think I will add the bounce insole to these. I normally run in Asics Nimbus or Kayanos and they have a lot more cushion in them but they felt like bricks after wearing these. I am a neutral runner for the most part but I like a little more pronation control in my longer runs. The most I've run in these has been 4 miles so I don't know if they will provide enough support as the miles are added So far, they feel pretty supportive

Even helps bouncing runners!

As someone that naturally walks and runs on my toes, or strikes with the midfoot first instead of the heel, I was not sure how helpful these would be, but the extra cushion they provide upfront is noticeably reducing the stress on my joints when I strike making for a smoother run. I have only had them for two weeks, but I have also noticed that, for now at least, it is and easing my piriformis syndrome symptoms (glute and hip pain)as well. They do force you to slow your pace, but over time the efficiency should compensate by allowing for longer, easier runs.

Love My Newtons!

I used to wear Mizuno Wave Creations for about 4 years...until now. I doubt I'll ever go back. I stick to the neutral plus shoes for the added cushion due to higher mileage plus I have high arches. I do wear custom insoles from RRS, though. I've been using these shoes to train for my latest marathon, which is this coming weekend. It took about a week for me to get used to the shoes, but I LOVE them. I've been running anywhere from 30-60+ miles a week in them. I had to buy a 1/2 size up from by normal running shoe size, and they fit great.

Perfect training shoe

I have run in Newton's since 2007 and only changed occasionally just to see if other brands had caught up with Newton's excellent formula for training and running shoes. For my neutral foot with a normal arch, they are perfect for road, trail, treadmill and track running. Newton's provide cushioning while allowing one's own foot to move as it was meant to - flexibility is inherent in the Newton shoe.

A good, quality running shoe

I have used the Newton Lady Isaac shoe for a couple of marathons, and they have been a good shoe for me. I don't heel strike anymore, and they're much lighter weight than my previous running shoes. I would recommend ordering a half to full size bigger (I wear a size 6 in non-running shoes, but I wear a size 7 in Newtons). I would have probably rated them 5 stars if they only lasted for a few more miles.

Pricey but worth it

This is my second pair of Lady Isaac's. I'm a heel striker and am trying to change my gait to more mid-foot striking. The Newtons do this. My last pair, while worn slightly at the heel, were mostly worn in the mid-foot area. So that tells me they're working. I wear orthodics while running in these shoes, so buy a half-size up from my street shoe size. I find them comfortable and easy to run in.

Not for me

I run about 20 miles per week and am currently training for a half marathon. If these had a bit more arch support, I might have kept them. I liked how they seemed to help my running posture. However, after only 12 miles of use I found my arches were aching. They also felt heavy and were not as breathable as my Sauconys, making my feet sweat like crazy. I'm going back to my Sauconys.

Happy Surprise1

This shoe was a happy surprise to me. I have been trying to transition to a midfoot strike with minimal pain. I put these babies on and ran 13 miles my first run. It was great! I feel like they have totally changed my running gait and style. I would love to try the women's distance shoes! have never been happier with new running shoes!

Best shoe ever!

I have tracking issues with my knees. I am a life long Asics fan but was having to give up running because my knees hurt so bad. A friend suggested Newtons and my knees feel great. Ran a half marathon with no knee pain! You have to spend about four months getting used to them but will never go back.

Just the spring you need to get going

If you are not a -lean forward to run - kind of runner, you might feel numbness on your toes, but overall this is a great shoe to run with. It gives you that extra sprint to go a little faster without the effort. Love them!

I am sold!

I have never tried a shoe such as the Newton. I am sold! Great cushioning right where it is needed. Even feels great with an injured foot...impressive!

Love Newton Shoes!

I recommend buying a size bigger that you think. I wear an 8 in regular women's shoes and I have fairly wide foot and I wear a 9.5 in Newton lady Isaacs.

Designed so you use a good running form

The Lady Isaacs enforce good running form. They take some getting used to, but once you ramp up, they're great!
