I feel like a grasshopper when I run in these! Awesome, lightweight construction on a shoe which supports a mid-foot striker. It takes some getting used to after wearing ASICS with the built-up heels - almost feel like I'm wearing Earth Shoes or Skechers. Instead the build-up is in the forefoot where many of us actually strike the pavement. I run about 25 miles per week mostly on city streets and have run the gamut of foot, knee, arch, and hip problems. These take the pressure off my hips, saving my energy for the run instead of the pain.

I have ran in, New Balance, Nike, Mizunos and Brooks. Mizunos performance stability shoes are my favorite. but they wear quickly well they lasted me 4 months. Then I switched to Brooks Adrenaline 13 because I was having shin splint issues and these worked well for my husband so I tried them for 4 months. My shinsplints got worse. So I had been reading about the Newtons and a friend of mine has ran in them for at least two years ... Well ordered the Lady Issac S and I am in love with this shoe. it takes a bit to get use to but after that. I feel like I am a running machine... I think I may have found my running shoe.

I wanted something more lightweight to run/race in from the Nike Zoom Structure I had been wearing previously. I also wanted something that might help me correct my heelstrike. This shoe still has a bit of the pronation support I needed from the Nikes, but with a much more light profile. The "lugs" that line the midpoint of the shoe's sole really have done wonders to help shorten my stride and move my strike from heel to mid/forefoot. The difference obviously takes some getting used to; the instructions even recommend short/slow runs for the first two weeks you have them. But, I cannot recommend these enough! They are worth every penny.

When I would get tired during training, my college coach would yell all the adjustments I needed to make to my form in order to become more efficient, run faster and feel less tired. It's been many many years since I've had a coach, yet when I wear these Newtons, it's as if my form is awakened and I come alive! I. Run. Fast! And ooooh that feels good! Beware of sore calves and achilles post workout. Compression sleeves are a must for recovery for new Newton runners!

Have found that Lady Issac is the best Newton for me due to stability. Been running in these for 2 years. RR has not been clear about availability on these shoes... contacted Newton and new Lady Issac S coming out in May. Not sure if RR is selling out the last of these white/teal shoes even though the description is new??? I really want to order these again but always on backorder or emailed discontinued?????

My feet are very hard to fit, narrow, bunions, high archs, and there are very few running shoes I can wear without some pain. The Newtons keep me pain free and able to walk/jog 3.5 miles six days a week. They are lightweight, provide great impact cushion and the forefoot lugs engage different muscles that other shoes don't. Would highly recommend.

I am still in the manufacturer's recommended break in period to adjust to the new sole configuration but after 6 short runs (about 1.5 miles each) I really like them. The change in my running form has really helped with heel concussion. I move up to 2 miles tomorrow and am looking forward to running a 5k in them on 5/5.

I run about 25-30 miles a week and have been wearing Saucony for several years. I wanted to try something new. Within 2 minutes my toes were in pain and literally numb. I wanted to finish my 6 mile run but couldnt wait to take these off. Perhaps I just like the heel to toe ride of the Saucony. The fit of the Saucony with a wider toe box is better as well.
