I am so pleased about the fit, comfort, and performance of these shoes. They feel great for both training and racing. I only run road, so I cannot comment on how they perform on trails. I prefer a lighter shoe, neutral shoe such as these. The slight heel height is forgiving for those who are slight heel strikers such as myself, but I feel comfortable running in my mostly mid-foot strike form. The forefoot provides a nice light mesh comfort that accommodates my wide foot, and the cushion is enough where it allows good contact with the ground without being too heavy. The lacing gives good security without being too tight. What I really like about the shoe is the performance of the cloud pods covering the bottom which allows for a smooth and peppy transition from stride to stride.

I'm a huge fan of the On line, especially the CloudSurfer, so I figured I would try these out, too. They really are very comfortable to wear and very breathable (great in Florida), but they didn't have as much cushioning or as much side-to-side support as the CouldSurfer does. These would be great for race day or for someone who prefers a lighter, more minimalist shoe or if you're more of a forefoot strikes. I'm a midfoot, so they aren't quite right for me, but they are a good shoe worth trying.

The On Cloudracer is extremely lightweight and supportive. They are slightly more expensive than your average running shoe, but the cost is worth it. They seem sturdy enough to last a few major races.

I bought the cloudracer almost 2 years ago and fell in love with them. So far this is my third one and the only problem I noticed is the mesh in the front does not last long. It seems that I am putting hole in on the front sides of my sneakers after 3-4 months. I usually use them for training and my races. At this point, I guess I need to try different ones to see if they are more durable.

Great innovative shoe and not a gimmick. I use the Cloud Racer for all my training and racing, it's durable enough. As On says it's "Simply Faster". An easy landing for your body and a firm pushoff. It does what it is intended to do.
