I suffer from pain on the medial part of my knee. I had a cyst removed from there a few months back but it returned. However, with this knee support, I'm able to run pain-free. The only complaint is the patellar tendon strap sometimes bothers me a little bit. After running, I just rinse it out and let it dry and it's good to go. I'm buying a second one as a backup.

I am in my early sixties running 3+ miles three to four times weekly. During my runs I was experiencing sporadic but acute pain (popping) in my right knee. I initially attributed the pain to restarting my running after a very long absence due a bout with Plantar Fasciitis. I developed a baker's cyst following the conclusion of a half marathon on January 10. Though I worked very hard to rehab my knee - ice, elevation, compression, massage, foam rolling - recovery was slow AND I still had races to train for and miles to get in. Purchasing the Pro-Tec knee brace saved my training plan. It's comfortable during my runs and small enough that I can wear it, unnoticed to others, under my clothes. I'm a month post-injury and nearly pain free. I'll continue to wear this brace, however, for the added support and confidence it gives me.

So I'm a guy with knee pains after jogging or sprinting. I am a beginner runner and I've been putting in 9-12 miles a week. I've been using this knee support for about 3 weeks now and I haven't had knee pains in a while. The only annoyance I get is that the top slides down every so often but the rubber shock absorbing piece stays where it should be. Other than that, it works. Just slip it on, and where some good running shoes.

I got this to stabilize my kneecap while running. Brace slips down and then my knee hurts again. I have a 14" knee and got the small. It fits properly, but I suppose it is not appropriate for runners knee. Ironic that it is sold at a running store. I'm returning it and getting a stronger one that is adjustable top and bottom.

This model is not as form fitting beneath the knee as the previous model. This model has a glued on bar, but the bar beneath the knee was sewn into the older model and fits closely. As far as I can tell it still works just fine, but is not as reversible. I buy a new pair of these every one to two years because they breakdown at the top of the hole above the knee, but really rely on them to keep my patella from coming out of its track.

Great for short distance running 3-8 miles. Last about 2 to 3 months before you feel that they are stretching out. They do offer great support. CEP long sleeve is excellent for longer distance running!
