I used RockTape during my training for my first Ironman 70.3. I was recovering from IT band and knee issues and initially used the tape to promote recovery. After I was fully healed, I continued to tape for my endurance bricks as a preventative measure.
RockTape is better than other kinesio tapes that I've tried because the adhesive lasts in the pool and throughout multiple sweaty workouts.

Rocktape let me run again
After running 3 half marathons I developed tendonitis in both of my knees. I was absolutely devastated because i could no longer lace up and head out the door on unrestrained runs. after years of trying different shoes and different running surfaces I had given up distance running... really anything at all over 2 miles would give me a flareup.
Then a friend recommended Rocktape.
Rocktape is fantastic. I have run many races since starting to use Rocktape including another half marathon with minimal discomfort in my knees.
The product is great, adhesive, and the tape doesn't really stick to your clothes as long as you give it the proper time to attach to your skin. Rocktape has videos online on how to properly apply the tape for different issues.
I have also used Rocktape to help with shin splints while i continued my workouts.

The Good Stuff
Where do we begin, I am a 48 year old former road racer/ triathlete. When I broke my ankle 10 years ago, it started me on a very long road of soft tissue injuries. I have countless issues with my right achilles tendon, plantars fascitis in both feet due change stride pattern, and two torn hamstrings. I started using some of the other tapes out there used for injury treatment. While they worked well, the expense was high. Then one fatefull day, while looking through the website, I noticed Rocktape. At first, I couldn't believe the price/quality. Boy was I wrong on both counts. RockTape is awesome!! You can use the way they show you on the ROCKTAPE home site, do like I have, experiment with it. I have made little changes to their techniques for various injuries/strains over the last year plus. I love this product
I am a runner - I used Rocktape for relief from my shin splints and couldn't be happier with it! It offers pain relief during runs and faster healing when resting. It is flexible so I didn't feel restricted as I was running with the tape on. The adhesive usually held for about 3-5 days - even with showers. I would recommend this tape to anyone suffering with common activity induced injuries (can be used on shoulders, knees, feet, ankles, as well as legs/shins).

Rock Tape ROCKS!
For 3 months I couldn't run or bike because the pain in my knee was too severe. My chiropractor introduced me to taping for healing and support. The stuff was amazing and got me back on the road, just in time for me to start training for a half Ironman. The tape lasts for 3-4 days per application, even in the pool. Rock Tape Rocks!
This stuff is the bomb
I have bad knees and do muli-day adventure racing. This tape is miraculous in its ability to support my knnes and keep the intense pain at bay. My only issue is the cost (I train a lot) and I have issues with the tape rolling and coming undone after 8 or more hours or training or racing. I could be applying it wrong. Most races are 1-3 days and I would love it to last the whole time.

Well, I'm just not sure if this is working or not. I'm in the middle of marathon training and have a significant hamstring issue. I have been applying in different patterns trying to get the maximum benefit. It's easy enough to apply but be warned gentlemen - this stuff does not like hair! So, if you're like me and just too hairy to even consider shaving then be prepared for a very painful waxing when you remove this stuff. Also, does not want to stick on some hairy areas like the calf muscles so you may not get the full benefit in some areas.
I have suffered from shin splints and achilles tendonitis, in my left leg, during my recent half-marathon training. However, with the rocktape I have been able to continue training, without it I would have been weeks behind and probably unable to finish my half in a respectable time. Of note, you will probably still have to cut back on your training miles even with use of the tape, but it has made life so much easier.

The arch of my foot was already strained going into my marathon last weekend. I wasn't about to not participate in the run, so I taped up my foot and managed to maintain a steady pace throughout the miles. I'm anxious to try the tape on other chronic sore spots.
I first heard about this tape from a tri friend who swears by it. I was a little sceptical but got a sample from the company (free) and tried it on my knee which was giving me issues. Without a doubt this tape made a huge difference and solved my pain issue when running.

Best Tape Ever!
As advertised this tape actually lasts for several days, even with exercise and showers. Other tapes of this type don't survive the first shower. Keep in mind it will be wet after the shower and you need to use a towel and maybe a quick shot with the hair dryer, but the adhesive stays stuck to your skin. I've been using it for my foot and have been very happy with it.

interesting tape and seemed to work
used the tape for shinspints and IT band problems on right leg for 10-15 mile runs where I had previously had lots of pain. Seemed to work very well (despite not fully understanding how it works).

Works better than other brands
I use Rock Tape for injuries, muscle support, and even used it post-op to control swelling. I won't run without Rock Tape.
I've used the original Kinesio tape, but the stuff peels off in a day. Strange, given it was the first tape and it's more expensive than Rock Tape.
Rock tape must be applied correctly to work and stay on. This means learning how much stretch, if any, needs to be use for the area you are taping; learning the correct pattern for the area and purpose; and learning how much flex, if any, to apply to your muscle as you apply the tape. If you don't know how to apply it correctly, the tape may peel off within a day. Applied correctly, the tape will stay on for 3 or 4 days.
My doctor is certified in taping for both Kinesio tape and Rock Tape--yet, he only uses Rock Tape. And it's not about compensation either--he sells Rock Tape at cost to his patients and never charges for taping during a doctor's visit. I get taped almost every time I see him.
For maximum adhesiveness, I always wipe my skin with rubbing alcohol before applying the tape. I usually have to remove the tape myself in 3 or 4 days. Only rarely has the tape peeled off on me.
I use this product to keep me running through shin splints. It actually helps! I was happily surprised.
It says the tape will stay on for 3 days...that must only be if there's no sweat or showering involved while wearing the tape.

I have major IT band problems when training for marathons. Rock tape has helped me by giving me the support I need and not slowing me down when training. I haven't found anything out there that beats it!
I have chronic calf problems and rocktape was a nice alternative from wrapping or compression sleeves. You can target the specific muscle with the tape. The tape stays on for multiple uses and it stays in place while showering.

I continue having knee and shin problems and rocktape was a great alternative from icing and compression sleeves. This helps with the specific muscle you are having problems with. Great for long runs!
Tape works great and stays on for 5 days with showers and baths. Provided extra support to injured areas, so that I could stay active.
Not worth the dough
I had high hopes for this product and was excited after my first use. After taping my arch for several weeks during training and trying to keep the area dry without success I was thinking this would be fantastic to be able to shower and not have to try to keep my foot out of the water! . BUT, it doesn't stay on as long as they say it will and it rolls under socks and running pants. It's slightly better than regular sports tape, but not enough to warrant the hefty price tag. I do like it's stretchiness but I think once this is out I'll go back to regular old taping.

replaced my runner's knee brace
I used to wear a brace under my knee for runner's knee. This has replaced and surpassed that. It's a pain to re- tape every week, but it's highly effective - my knee feels great! I've never had trouble getting it to stick - but I follow all the instructions and use rubbing alcohol to clean the area prior to application. It sticks well, even after showering and long runs. Longest run was 20 miles. No problems with it coming off. Have to remove myself after 5 days.
I'd recommend this product to any and every runner or athlete looking for extra support or to get away from using a brace.
This stuff works!
I developed strains in both calves while transitioning to mid-foot striking. I learned about this product at an expo the day prior to a 1/2 marathon (of which I thought I might only last a couple of miles due to recurring injury/pain). I Rocktaped up & had no discomfort at all for the entire race or afterwards! My calves have since strengthened, but (for insurance) I now use it as a preventative tool when I run 10+ miles.
I have also heard fantastic results from runners who had chronic knee and low back pain!

I was given another brand of kinesiology tape, but it didn't stay on AT ALL. So disappointing. A friend of mine recommended RockTape, and since I'm training for a marathon with plantar fasciitis, I decided I'd try it (I'll try anything!). I've almost used my first roll and just placed an order for more. It works, it stays on, and it helps. Google for videos on how to apply it based on the injury or issue you have, and apply it before a run. Mine has stayed on through multiple runs. It does work best if your skin is dry and clean, and free of any lotions or oils.

Great tape ...
Tape feels pretty good and works well while running. It does not peel, and I have been able to wear it for up to three days.
Before I was trying all type of tapes, KT, Spider Tape, etc. Rock tape adhesive was the only one tape that stick to the skin longer encouraging a better healing. I think Rock tape is more cost effctive that the other tapes. Also, because I live in Salem, OR I didn't have to travel all the way to the store and buy the tape. I ordered the tape online [...] Also Road Runner Sports was the only store that had the product I was looking for all over Oregon!! I was really pleased with Rock tape [...]
Used this for plantar fascitis....seemed to help ease discomfort . Only con is that it only stays on for a couple of days.
I hurt my knee a couple weeks before a half marathon and wasn't sure if I'd be able to run. I did a couple short runs prior to the half and felt okay but was still nervous. I had never used KT tape before but my friends had suggested it so I went on the RRS website to check out my options and decided on rock tape. I loved the different color options. I bought pink, which would match my race day outfit perfectly. I was able to run the entire half marathon with very little pain and a decent time. The next day, I had some minor aches typical after a long run but my knee felt fine. I definitely recommend it!

I've been using Rock Tape to protect a surgically repaired elbow. It takes a little practice to effectively tape yourself, but if done correctly, it really helps guard against muscle soreness from overuse. And it easily stays on for 4-5 days. Even after workouts - through sweat and showers! Removal is painless and it's no problem for those having sensitive skin.
Very stretchy. I use for my plantar pain and it works great. I can wear one for several days.
