Strap too big

1

This is the first product from Roadrunner that I cannot give a good rating. I use this for running. I've had this for a couple of months and here are my issues: 1. Strap does not tighten enough on a woman's hand so it slips. 2. leaky, top has to be pushed down very hard and I still find that it leaks on runs (I have always hand washed, so no Dishwasher to cause this). 3. Constant sweating of bottle. I live in TX so this is an issue but was also an issue running the Hood to Coast in Oregon. Constantly having to wipe on shirt. A distraction. Needs to have a cover on it. Pros-good compartment for keys. I would not recommend this and actually just signed on to buy something better. I love Roadrunner and all their products have exceeded my expectations except this one.

Nice but not sure about the quality

2

I purchased this item at a local RRS store about 3wks ago. Love the large pocket and size of this water bottle. Pocket can easily hold 2 Gu packets, chapstick, and my keys. The downside of this is the quality of the material used to make this pouch. The neck of the holder should be reinforced. I've only had this for 3 wks and the neck is already torn and stretched out. Now my water bottle keeps sliding out on my runs which I find very annoying. If it wasn't for that I would have given this item 5 stars. If the neck can get reinforced I would tell everyone to buy this but until then spend a few $ and get the Nathan hydration bottle.

Surprisingly comfortable

4

I bought this to keep my hydrated on longer runs. I have to admit I had low expectations--the thought of carrying water in my hand the whole time I am running didn't sound terribly fun. But it turns out that this small water bottle is the perfect size--it carries enough water to get me through a few miles (more if you refill on the way) but is so small sometimes I don't even realize I'm carrying it. And the pocket is perfect for an ID, a credit card, a few dollars, and the house keys.

Great for price

4

I love this little pack. I used it in a half marathon and it was perfect. It was a cool day (40-50s) so any warmer I may have needed more fluids. It's lightweight and so easy to run with. My only complaint is that after about a month of use the material that holds the neck of the bottle is stretching out so the bottle is starting to slide out. I just have to hold the bottle with a little tighter grip now.

Perfect size bottle

4

I use this everytime I run, but the strap does not adjust small enough for my hand. I wrap a bandana around my hand and then it fits fine and I can wipe my nose. The neck fabric stretches out making it even bigger. Bottle is perfect size to carry with enough water for long runs or races when you might not have enough support. Pocket is small but can carry chap stick or other small items

Works good for the price.

I used to run with this bottle, and the Fuelbelt version all the time. If you're planning a long run, you'll definitely need to refill this 10oz bottle, but is good for shorter runs. I did notice the bottle leaks after long term use when you lay it down, and the push/pull opening sometimes cracks. It's cheap, so for the price, it's good.

Lightweight, non-bulky Water Bottle

4

I used this product for short races or training where there was not water support. The small size of the bottle was convenient and much lighter weight than carrying around a full bottle. The strap that held the bottle to your hand didn't adjust perfectly and seemed to want to fall off, but never did to the point of losing the bottle.

good little water bottle

4

Doesn't leak, pocket will fit a gel or two. Good solution if you need a little water and don't like packing water on a belt. Would be better if the plastic bottle had a neoprene covering, the bottle is cold and clammy in your hand. If I was doing it again I'd spend a little more and get one that had the bottle enclosed. All in all though another fine R gear product that is a great value.

Does the Job

4

I hate carrying water, on a belt or in my hand. But since I have to I like the size of this. Managed to run 8 miles fine without running out. I figure on longer runs, I will refill. It actually counters the weight of my iPhone which I've been running with in the other hand. It does exactly what I bought it for.

Running

4

I use it for running on longer runs. In this bad weather I have found it to be very helpful because I carry it so it helps to cool down and I have water right with me. The one thing is that the water gets a bit warm shortly into my run so about a mile and a had in.

it's made by Fuelbelt!

5

I've loved Fuelbelt bottles - definitely easier to hold than the round type, they fit my hand better. I like the 10oz. bottle for a shorter run vs. a 22oz. which most bottles are. I prefer handhelds vs. belts, I just don't like stuff around my waist.

Leaky Bottle

2

Ran once with it, two things I noticed right away; the strap doesn't seem to adjust tight enough around my hand and it had a slow leak out of the cap while I was running. Not a ton of water leaked but enough to get my hand all wet, a little annoying.

Perfect size, eventually wears out

4

Perfect for long runs where there are occasional water fountains and races with water stations for refills. Used first one for about a year before it was so stretched out the water bottle kept falling out, but price is reasonable so I bought a new one!

Disappointed

1

I'm a runner & wanted to upsize from my 5 oz handheld water bottle. This one is too wide for my hands. A slightly slimmer design with finger grips would be a huge improvement! The strap was pointless. Best features - didn't leak & easy to drink from.

Was fine

3

Got the job done. But I couldn't get it any tighter around my hand so it dangled at bit, but am used to it now. And sometimes the water bottle comes out of the bottom holster thing, but not a huge deal if you keep an eye on it.

Convenient for 90 min runs!

5

Thought this would be good for hydration on runs in the 90 minute range. Perfect amount to wash down a gel. Zippered pocket holds gels and any small items.

Functional

4

Functional handheld with solid seal and no leakage. Bottom strap moves around a bit but I have not noticed a problem as a result.

5

I use this product on my 4-8 mile runs. The pouch is perfect for storing my key while running. Great lightweight water bottle.
