These are great for extending the life of older shoes. I'm a relatively high mileage runner (40 miles/wk on average), and have found these insoles to be great for when I get to about 320-350 miles on a pair of shoes and the mid sole starts to get hard/less responsive. These insoles allow me to get another 150 miles or so out of a pair of shoes. Haven't tried them on any runs over 14 miles, but for shorter and mid distance runs (up to HM distance), they've been great! The only real downside is that they raise the height of the shoe and how your foot sits in it, which can lead to some minor stability issues (nothing bad, really, but you have to get used to it). I would be careful running on uneven surfaces like trails, at least until you get used to how they feel/how your foot fits in the shoe with the insoles.

I have tried about 10 different insoles from different companies for the past 8 years in an effort to soften the poundings from jogging on the roads. None of them work for me and I totally gave up until I use these insoles by R-Gear. The insoles maximize cushioning without losing responsiveness as advertised by R-Gear. I know they work because I do not feel the stiffness in my legs the next morning. I know they work because I run further and faster using the insoles. I know they work because my 63 years old body knows the difference after 10 miles on the road. Now I do not run without them. I use the product in my daily walks. Typically I walk 10-15 miles a day. I actually let a friend borrow them and he bought two pair. One for his work boots and the other for his walking shoes. He is my workout partner. Have another friend who buses tables 8 hours a day and he heard my review and my workout partner's review (opinions/praise) for the product and bought a pair for himself and his son. Perfect fit is also a pro to this product as well as long lasting. I put almost 500 miles on my first pair.

Had some stock insoles and not naming any brand names but after one run they were flat as paper and made my new shoes feel dead. Put the R-Gear Bounce insoles in and shoes came back to life. Very stable and not too bouncy. May depend your running style and build but these are worth it. They say they are for high arches but I have normal arches and they feel fine. My only reason for leaving off 1 star is havent tested the long term durability quite yet.

This is probably a great product for runners who are slim and in shape. I am overweight and after about 8 miles the forefoot portion of the insoles don't really cushion anymore. Next time I call I'll insist on an insole with better forefoot cushioning... but maybe by then I'll be closer to a normal weight.

Before these supports were recommend by the awesome people of RRSPORTS I was throwing my shoes away too early. Granted I am bow legged but after a month the stock sole would cause be to have extreme pain in knees. With this product WOW longer shoe life and no pain. I highly recommend these.

I have never adapted to 'real' orthotics, but these are the next best thing! I used to have hand-cut metatarsal pads, but all of a sudden they just drove me crazy. THese give me the extra cushioning I really seemed to need, and are more supportive than the soles inside running shoes when you buy them. I love them.

I was worried that these would be too high in the arch based on reviews. Not even close. They could even be a little higher. I have used Superfeet Green for years but a recent flair of plantar fasciitis has forced me to search for something softer. These are soft and flexible . If you are looking for strong support these are not the right insert for you. If you want soft with a bit of arch support these will be good for you. The price is right!!!

Have had 4 previous pairs, always buy with new running shoes. Unfortunately, they changed the sizing so if you are at the bottom range you can't trim to fit well anymore. I have 9 1/2 shoe size so I have to buy the D size, but even after trimming it is too big. Before I could buy the 10 and slightly trim.
