In short, these provide excellent pronation control and lush cushioning, particularly in the forefront. I took off a star for the bizarrely high heel collar. I highly recommend the shoes.
I am a heavy pronator and refugee from the Brooks Trance series -- I loved the 11s, but not the 12 or Transcend, so I had to look for something new. I ended up buying the Adrenaline 14s because I love the Brooks fit and cushion, but I found that they do not provide enough pronation control to work as my only shoe.
I tried a bunch of other options before settling on the Hurricanes -- I found the Mizuno Wave Paradox to be too stiff with a tight toe box; the New Balance model I tried was too wide, so my foot moved around in the shoe; the Asics Kayano 20s were bulky and I felt like my forefoot was slapping the ground with every step I took.
I really love the Hurricanes, way more than the other shoes I tried. They provide substantial pronation control (the older model is a stability+, though this one is not labeled yet I'm sure it's in the same category), noticeably more so than the Adrenalines. The toe box provides plenty of wiggle room but the rest of the shoe hugs my foot, so the fit is great. I have extremely high arches and wish these had more support in that department, though from what I can tell the level of arch support is not bad for a stability shoe. The forefoot cushioning is amazing -- soft but springy, so I don't feel like my foot is sinking in. In that regard these shoes are an improvement over any of the Brooks models I have worn. However, the shoe does not feel heavy or clunky. It's more substantial than the Adrenaline but I don't really notice it on my foot when I'm running, and I don't feel overcorrected.
These shoes have an 8mm drop, while my Brooks models have an 11-12mm drop. I felt the difference in my calves at first but I've gotten used to it.
The only problem I have with this shoe (beyond the limited color options) is the ENORMOUS heel collar. The first time I ran in them the collar rubbed raw a spot on my Achilles. I bought some socks with tabs to wear with these shoes and that solved the problem -- it would be nice if new shoes did not necessitate new socks, but this shoe is otherwise perfect for me, so I can live with that.
Great Replacement for Gel Kayano
I normally don't write reviews, but I thought this shoe warranted one. I have been wearing Gel Kayanos since their 15th version of them. Well, the last two versions of them have been terrible (way less cushioning!), so I was bummed that I had to go searching for another shoe. I tried Mizuno's stability plus shoe, but they made my ankles hurt. Finally, I found the Saucony Hurricane 16. This is absolutely the perfect shoe. I can run 8+ miles and not have any pain in my ankles or knees. The only downside, and this is being very nit-picky, is that they are slightly heavy, but you get used to it. Every stability plus shoe is heavy, and this one is no different than the others in that category. I would much rather have the cushioning and an extra ounce than a light shoe with no cushioning.
A little bit about me: I am 5'1" and have an average arch and I over pronate moderately. I mostly run on pavement, and I run about 3-4 times per week, averaging about 3-4 miles per run. I always run in stability plus shoes because I've tried neutral, motion control, and even the zero-drop/natural shoes, and I come away with ankle and knee problems. This is honestly the best stability plus shoe for women on the market, in my opinion.

A fantastic shoe to look at and to wear
I needed a shoe that would provide ample stability with a generous amount of cushioning. In addition, a shoe that was lightweight, responsive, and would provide a fair amount of lateral support. I walk on average 30 miles per week and I also do Jazzercize. I bought this shoe specifically for that class and it has been superb. Back in the day when I was a runner, I was a fan of Saucony Shadow and Courageous. Now that I am much older and have shed the running segment of my life, it's great to know that there are fantastic options for walkers and Jazzercizers. My regular shoe size is an 8. I typically have to buy a 9. However, I read comments about this shoe that said it was pretty true to size. I therefore went with a 8.5 and it fits perfectly. I adore the color purple. Thank You!

After spending the better part of two years and considerable $$$ trying to find a replacement for New Balance 763, I finally found the next best thing. This version fits my narrow heels snugly yet comfortably, and still has almost the same roomy toebox as the 763s. The stability is there without a lot of weight. I took them out for my first 10-miler yesterday. They felt great throughout the run, and my knees are fine today; something I could not say for New Balance's 870 series which was supposed to be comparable to the 760 series. The shoe collar is a little high and the toebox is just a little narrower than I'm used to, but those are easily fixed with the right socks.

Bring back hurricaine 12
I have worn Sacony running shoes since late seventies. I have been wearing hHurricaines since they came out. I find these shoes to have no forefoot cushion and shock absorption. I wear the sorbothane inserts absorbing 94% of the shock and still my feet are stinging and never recover from run to run. I find the heel counter to be too big.. I don't like the way Saucony has lowered the heel in their shoes The last really good Hurricaine Saucony made was the Hurricaine 12. Based on a lot of other online reviews, I am not alone!. I have bought up every pair of hurricane 12s I could find online. I have been loyal to Saucony for40 years ,but will be looking elsewhere unless they greatly improve these shoes

A great shoe
I walk about 20 miles a week and just recently decided I needed better shoes. In the past, as a runner, I always loved Saucony shoes so went with what I know. They fit perfectly and feel great on my feet. Plenty of room in the toebox for my toes that often go numb after a few miles. These were comfortable form the first minute I put them on and although I have only put about ten miles on them I know they are going to be great shoes for me.
I hope they never stop making these!!
I run 5-6 days a week. I have worn no other shoe than Saucony since 1992. I am a lightweight, high mileage, high arch, narrow heal, wide toe box pronator. This shoe is perfect for me!! Great support, last about 500 miles, very comfortable. Only bad thing I can say is the mesh wears out on the big toe. should have a little more of the protective material there.

My feet are liking this shoe!
I have worn these shoes at the gym, and on the road. About 150 miles in, showing very little wear. Very comfortable, wide width fits me perfectly. Great color(white/green). Good stability, but severe pronators may need more. I would buy this model again, or maybe Omni. They should make the wide width in purple too!
Love these shoes
I appreciate how light they are for the amount of protection. They keep the shin splints away! are comfortable, and fit well. The upper material is much improved on the Hurricane 16. They shed dirt beautifully. Bought the black color this time and really like them with the blue and pink accents.

Love these shoes!!!
I love these shoes. These are one of the best running shoes out there. I dont know why they stopped making these. They are better then the ones they replaced them with. Missing these badly. Please make more!!!!
Love the new grid hurricane 16
I run at least 5 times a week 5-6 miles at a time with my Siberian husky. I am over 50 and I love the support and cushioning these shoes provide. Grid hurricanes have typically been my favorite shoe for at least 10 years more.
I run at least 3 miles every day and the shoes provide the perfect cushioning and support for my 160 pound frame. They wear out on the top where my big toe hits on each shoe. It fits my "duck" feet very well.
Love the cushion. Ultra soft ride with lots of room in the toe box. I love that therefore I rate them as true to size because they are what I'm looking for. Great for orthotic wearers like me.
Previously wore Hurricane 14. Hurricanes seem to be the only shoe that when worn with my custom insoles correct my over pronation. I love the 16 and have already made a new distance PR in them!

perfect shoe for me finally
I run half marathons and 15k. I just finished a half and finally since my brooks trance 10 a shoe that feels like I have nothing on my feet but with the support.
Nice Sturdy Shoe
I got this because I have some painful foot problems. These are well cushioned, have room for a thin insert, and I love them. I have wide feet and these are fine.
I walk along beach and asphalt parking lot, sometimes rocky soil, this shoe is great, not squishy but cushioned. I am very happy with this shoe.
Perfect fit for wide feet
These shoes felt very confortable from the moment I tried them in the store. I have used them for walks a few times and they continue to feel just right.

NEW TO THE RUNNING GAME BUT LOVING IT
I've had earlier versions of this shoe, but had to switch when store didn't have them. Now I'm back to them - and LOVE them, especially the COLOR! They were super comfortable right from the start. I'm only a walker, but hope they last at least 6 months.
