Great for snowmageddon or just cold!

5

I bought these when the first flakes of "Snowmageddon 2010" started falling. I thought it would be fun in the snow, except for the slipping and frostbite. "I wonder if someone makes a running boot?" Roadrunner Sports to the rescue! Ordered them right then. They didn't make it until after snowmageddon, but I've had them out a couple of times. These keep your feet warm!!! Great traction, especially on salt/sand. Very comfortable. No excuses to not get out there. I will look forward to rainy Spring days--no more wet feet.

Awesome shoes

I was looking for a new pair of trail running shoes and liked the idea of the built in gaiter. I bought and went for my first run in these shoes today and LOVED them! They are SO comfortable and made my run feel effortless.

Absolutely RIGHT ON!!! The best!

5

I use these fabulous trail shoes for jogging on gravel, packed dirt, leaves, mud, meadow, on a trail through a wetlands park, no pavement. I have never had the most perfect pair of shoes for this type of Jogging, TIL NOW. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE SHOES FOR THIS TYPE OF Running, jogging and walking in the wild. The shoe is wide enough and set up for excellent stability. The covering does not allow penetration of fox tails, burrs etc. The sole is flexible enough to create stability with flow over objects like stones, ruts in trail, etc allowing a smooth run. I can jog super comfortably with any type of local terrain. The shoe is well designed with an adjustable inner shoe lacing, and again, great sole in traction and stability. Comfort? Excellent!!! really comfy all the way around. Order 1/2 size larger, for foot swelling in any weather, not uncomfortable. Wear with good socks. I can't recommend these shoes enough. An excellent investment you shouldn't pass up...these WILL be your fav shoes!!!!

Best Winter Trail Shoe I've ever owned!

5

I bought a second pair and put them in the closet just in case they become extinct! A unique shoe---no peer.

I would by this shoe again

These shoes are great for trail running. I have had a problem with my feet getting wet and then cold in the winter months. These shoes are fantastic for keeping my feet dry. Very comfortable and lightweight.

Finally! A winter running ...

5

Finally! A winter running shoe for northern Michigan! I have been looking for something like this for a long time...6 months of snow up here along with ice and slush... I ran in about 12 degrees the other day and my feet were toasty warm with regular running socks on...the soles are vibram with a great pattern to deal with slippery spots as well as that 'running in sand' type snow. Good grip and very light! (However ice is ice, nothing but spikes work on that...) I've always been an Adidas or Nike runner but now love these Saucony's!

Great for indoor sports too!

5

These shoes protect my feet and ankles extremely well from the forward/back sideways sprinting playing floor hockey with a bunch of young men. I have severe arch and metatarsal problems, and no ankle flexibility left. My specialized orthotics don't work for things like tennis, b-ball or floor hockey and literally couldn't walk the next day when I first tried to play. These shoes are rugged on the bottom and keep my foot cushioned and stable.

Great - except ankle support is minimal.

4

I bought these specifically for the ankle support; however the outer cover is for moisture protection and does not offer true support. I have really small ankles so the shoe may offer better support for other sizes. If I add velcro at the top, I could pull the upper edge tighter which might give better support. Still - I love the shoe, it is perfect for outdoors and trails.

I needed these shoes!

4

I have been running in my Kinvaras (love them!), but it is getting colder, and I needed something waterproof -- wet, cold feet are no fun on a run!! These feel kind of heavy and clunky compared to my "light as air" Kinvaras, but they do exactly what I need them to do -- keep my feet dry and warm. It is a trade off I am willing to make for fall/winter running!

One great trail shoe!

5

I use this shoe strictly on the trails. It's a little clunky for road running. It does exactly what i believe it's intended to do--keeps dirt and rocks out of your shoe. It's not apparent in the picture or the description, but there is a draw-cord lace on the shoe inside the gaiter. The inner shoe fits like a glove!

Had my first run in these shoes. They were great on a packed down snowy trail with some ice patches. They felt great on my feet.
