Product SCN963 Review

Been buying the stabil for 10 years!

In the gym, on the road, at work in school this shoe has helped my plantar fasciatis, and knee cap pain. Been buying the stabil for over 10 years, will never change !

Shoe that prevents injuries!

I do alot of running on the road and sidewalks so I need a shoe that absorbs the impact and prevents pronation. I have tried other shoes and shortly after my hips, knees, feet and back start hurting. Once I found the progrid stabil cs 2 running shoes 6 years ago I have never turned back and have never felt better about running! There is plenty of toe room but the shoe is snug fitting. The only complaint that I have about the progrid stabil cs 2 running shoe is the weight. I wish it was lighter, but for all the cushion and motion control and the fact that it keeps me running injury free I can deal with having a heavier shoe.

good motion control shoe

I use to run in the previous version of this shoe for years, until I discovered Nike's Nucleus (which I am SO disappointed they are discontinuing). After my Nike's, I tried several different shoes (Nike's Lunar Eclipse, Asics Evolution) and they did not provide me with enough support for my over pronation. So I decided to go back to my Saucony's which worked for me in the past. It's a good thing I did, I could tell from my first run that they provided the support I need without any pain or stress to my legs/joints. I do wish they were a little lighter and had more cushion like the Nike Nucleus, but I'll take the weight as long as I can enjoy long-distance, injury-free running any day.

Will buy this shoe again

I have low arches and almost gave up on running until I realized I wasn't running in the right kind of shoe. This shoe is amazing! I trained for and ran a half marathon in these shoes and have not had one instance of achilles tendonitis or shin splints. I highly recommend this shoe for anyone with low arches or pronation injuries.

Supportive... but heavy!

This shoe did exactly what I needed it to: it provided support in the arch to keep it from falling inward on long runs to prevent injury. Previously, I was running in the Saucony Hurricane 14s, but they just weren't supportive enough. I'm an overpronator with a history of plantar fasciitis and a recent achilles strain. Since wearing these shoes, I haven't even had a hint of PF and my achilles feels great! I sometimes find my arches feel tender after running in the Stabil, but that's probably because of my pronation, not the shoe. I have bunions on both feet, and the toe box has ample room (no blisters!). They come at a cost, though: the weight. They're heavy!! My only other complaint about these shoes? The COLOR! I wish there were better options! As a Canadian outdoor runner, white is so impractical, not to mention BORING. Saucony, please spice these up a little!

I use these Saucony shoes for everyday, all day and for walking. I have used the Saucony Progrid Trigon 5 Ride for years and it was wonderful, then Saucony changed it to just the Progrid Ride 5. That shoe is already changed again. It didn't cushion or support my feet like the old model. I went to this shoe the Progrid Stabil CS2, which is already changed to the CS3. It does not fit the same and is a half size too large, besides not feeling overly supportive. Now I have changed brands and gone to the Brooks Ariel on the advice of my podiatrist, It is wonderful. Saucony's choice of colors lately is disappointing as well. Many of the newer shoes look like a neon sign announcing my arrival. Very disappointing.

I was looking for a shoe that would give plenty of stability because I am an overpronator, and was very hopeful with this shoe. However, I was very disappointed when I ran in this shoe. First it felt heavy and very stiff. It didn't have much in the way of cushioning. And, after my run my heel/Achilles tendon hurt and I've NEVER experienced that with another running shoe. I am definitely not a fan of this shoe. If someone is a severe overpronator it would probably be good if you don't mind a heavy shoe.

Doctor Recommended, Daughter Approved

These were purchased for my daughter who runs cross country and track. After experience some leg pain she went to a local Spine and Joint Specialist who also works a great deal with athletes. These are the shoes he recommended we get our daughter to give her the proper arch support she needs and she loves them. Due to the exercises she was given and the support of these shoes she is running again and doing well. Thanks so much!

Lasted me over 900 miles!

I just bought my 3rd pair of these after I noticed my second pair not cushioning so well anymore, and was amazed to see that I had put 950 miles on them! I have flat narrow feet and tend to overpronate and have a hard time finding shoes that work well. Even though they are B width, they are sufficiently narrow for me, and I have run injury free...half marathons, long distance relay, triathlons.

awesome shoe

OMG! A pronation shoe that doesn't feel like a lug of a shoe. This is a great shoe for pronators. It's surpising lightweight, cushioned (rare for pronation shoes) and doesn't feel like you have bricks on your feet. Ran 10 miles right out of the box. Highly recommend this shoes. Previously tried a pronation shoe by Asics; it was horrible. Saucony makes the best.

Stabil CS2

I run twice a day. The shoe is great for motion control. The toe box narrows toward top. could be slightly rounder at toe, leaving that smidgen more room needed for big toe, a 1/2 size bigger is too big. I'm hoping the next generation(CS3) fixes this.

Great shoe for overpronation, narrow heel, wide toe box...fit great the first time I ran in them!I ordered 2 more pair after running in the first pair only a few times!
