The Mirage 3 won runner's world best update (spring 2013)
These are my tried-and-true marathon racers: I'm at 135 lbs, and went through 4 generations of Mirage. Besides minor improvements, like added durability in the upper, and use of flexfilm upper material, all generations pretty much feel the same, and that's a great thing. Each successive generation is a direct drop-in replacement for the former, and feel great out of the box: responsive cushioning without feeling mushy, lightweight, some stability but not too much, low heel-to-drop promotes fast leg turnover. I like that the forefoot feels more cushioned and lively than other shoes in the same category.
Much of the shoe feels "in the middle" between a slightly beefier lightweight trainers and full-blown racing flats, so Mirage may work excellently for you if you felt that racing flats are too rigid for your taste.
I am a mild pronator and I usually start finding notable signs of forefoot material wear after 250 miles. It's a lightweight "natural" shoe, not a high-mileage trainer, so you cannot expect crazy high durability from these shoes.

Good but not great
The first day I got these, I wore them for a full day of work before running in them and I tied them as I would for running. I spend most of my work day sitting, so not much stress on the shoe, but they felt tight around my big toe. The next day I ran 5 miles in them, tied a little looser. It was a comfortable ride and I decided I just needed to break them in. Well, the day after that I ran 23 miles in them (a gamble, with new shoes) and my feet were happy, but afterwards I noticed that the stitching on the upper had ripped.
All in all, if these we're more durable, or perhaps wider, I'd be really happy with them, but shoes shouldn't have holes after 30 miles.
Light and fast
I have become a fan of almost-minimalist shoes on trails, and I wanted something similar, but with more cushioning and support for when I'm confined to cityscapes. The Mirage 4 fits the bill perfectly. It has enough cushioning for comfort, but little enough (with a 4 mm drop) to not mess up my stride and to feel extremely light and fast. I feel like buying ten pairs!
Great support, a little less toe room.
This is my fourth Mirage shoe. I had one pair of Mirage 2's and two pair of mirage threes. I like these the best. The toe box is slightly tighter than the threes but not by much. The support is a little taller also and have more support. I've gotten quite a few miles with the older pair and plan on getting a second pair of the fours to rotate.

Narrow in fore foot.
I have had previous versions of this shoe and they fit great. These were more narrow in toe box . I returned them.
