What's made for a IronMan?

5

Run 6 days a week and cycle. No other sock has it all right: no rubbing inseams against toenails to prevent bruised/lost toenails, very lightweight, very durable. Only a blowtorch or lost socks in laundry loads may damage! May get discolored and saggy elastic after a few years, but who would dare to complain?

Greatest running socks ever!!!

5

These socks are awesome. I finally wore my last 3 pairs out after 5 or 6 years. They last forever and are so comfortable. I had problems for years with calluses from running, but these socks really make a huge difference. I am completely sold on them. I jog 3-5 miles 3-4 times a week and wear these sock everytime!!!

Best overall sock there is

5

The best sock you can get for all-around athletic activity. These socks are great for running, triathlons, cross-training, and sport-specific performance (like soccer, hockey, etc.). It's the only kind of sock that I will wear for a run or for a triathlon.

Okay Socks

These socks are just as the title says, "okay." I think they are too thin. For me, I started to get some hot spots after 3 miles. My son, who runs with me, also thinks they are too thin but great for everyday socks.

best sock ever

5

I've been using some iteration of these socks for years. I run in them daily and now have many pairs. the first couple pairs I bought over 8 years ago, are still around. they've worn a touch thin in some spots, but they're still quite comfortable and wearable. I love these socks.

Very nice fit

5

I bought 9 pairs of this style 10 years ago and worked out almost every day. Just recently I found some small holes in the toe area. I just bought 9 more pairs and would be thrilled if they last as long.

Dependable socks

5

I run 5-6 miles daily in a humid, often hot, climate. These socks are thin, fit well, and wick sweat pretty well. For the price, they are a dependable, good quality training sock. For hot weather, these work well.

These socks are great

5

These socks are thin, comfortable(no seams), and amazingly durable. Not great at -20F. I got a little frost bite. Too thin for that temperature. I could have avoided the inconvenience by using my brain.

Great socks but neck stretches out.

4

I love these socks. I used to have a huge problem with blisters until I discovered them. But eventually (too soon) the neck stretches out and they have to be trashed.

These Are Not The Same Socks As Before

1

I agree with another reviewer above. I've been buying Wigwam Ultimax Triathlon socks since the 90s, and this latest product is not even close to what I'm used to. They are smaller, tube shaped and of extremely thin construction. They are not the same sock. if I didn't know better, I'd say that they are counterfeit. Note that the photograph shows the old, original, great sock. The new sock doesn't curve up at the ankle--as mentioned it is more of a tube shape. I am returning these, unworn. I liked the original Wigwams because of their thickness. I'm certain these won't hold up, as the material is paper thin.

Light Comfortable sock

Very comfortable, light sock that doesn't cause blisters. Shrinks a little in the washer machine but fits well

Very disappointed

1

Very disappointed. This is a different product from the Ironman Triathlon socks I've had for years that now need replacement. They are thinner and less durable and I believe lower quality. I washed these socks exactly one time prior to wearing them and on the first day noticed holes developing along the toe seam. While I'm too busy to take the time to return these I'm totally dissatisfied and urge you to avoid these socks entirely.

5

I have worn this style of sock for many years (I'd say at least 15... yikes! They wear like iron and are extremely comfortable - I don't think I've ever blistered with these. If you live in a cold climate you might want to get slightly longer ones to cover the front of your ankle.
