Perfect fit, well constructed, very comfortable. But, I'm a mid-foot striker and after the first mile on the first run I can see this is not the shoe for me. I even had to cut my run short because of these shoes. Lots of fluffy stuff in the heal, but nothing up front. Shame, because this is a really good shoe otherwise. I love the lacing system, fit, style, everything but the lack of cushioning in the mid-foot area. A big disappointment, probably end up in the back of the closet. Maybe make a good grass cutting shoe...
I must of misinterpreted "get added comfort and more energy from the Z-Bound? top loaded cushioning" description to imply cushioning throughout the shoe. I have been wearing Newtons for years and I was looking for an alternative and thought I'd try this one. I land outside mid-foot, and with this Zoot, there is nothing there.
Other than the above exception, this is probably one of the best shoes I've ever owned. Seriously a nice shoe, if you are a heal-striker. Maybe a bit too much heal height, but that might be because I'm used to Newtons.
Excellent all around running shoe
I am an endurance runner who weighs about 200lbs ..I like running in a minimalist shoe. I am training for my first Ironman and needed a shoe that would help for the beginning of a run after the bike. These are perfect for when the legs don't work and you can't land on just the front of your foot. This shoe allows you time to recover your running legs.
The Iron potato
I really like the lace system on this shoe. My foot slides into place and stays put. Easy on and off. My first run in these shoes felt great and I continue to have great runs in this shoe. I "feel" the road more in these running shoes compared to my prior running shoes the Asics Gel Nimbus 15. I run about 60 miles per week and even though these shoes have less cushioning I have not had any issues with these new shoes.

Great lightweight transition shoe for triathlons.
I was looking for (and found) a lightweight running shoe that offered some cushioning and stability. Also, I needed a shoe that was easy to get on for triathlon (bike to run) transition. Lastly, the sock-like liner has kept me blister free (so far) in both races and training.
In it for the long run
