Comments about Mens 2XU Recovery Compression Tights Fitted:

This is not a specific review for the recovery 2XU tights but overall for their running tight models (bought the Standard version, Elite and those recovery tights as well).
I always used shorts to run, but with winter coming and my trademill "saturation", wanted to run outside. Meanwhile, was reading the marketing hype about the compression benefits and how that was helping supportting muscles and joints during the effort and after. So decided to give it a try. Although those are definitively not super warm (been running around freezing point), they were obviously a much better choice vs. running in shorts. But what really struck me was the fact that up until now, I could start feeling knee and hip pains after 10miles running and really struggled to complete semi-marathon distances, let alone fact I was really in pain days after the effort. Well, I believe I am not getting any younger, and since I have been wearing those, I can run semi marathon distances without any issue - pain. Wearing them after the event I also feel my muscles get back in shape quicker. I am usually "marketing hype" proof, but I have to admit this product seems to work, better than in my wildest dreams. As I wrote earlier, I bought all versions of compression tights (but the thermal one). I hardly see any support difference in between the std model and the Elite one, while the recovery one seems to hold everything a bit tigher indeed, probably required for better recovery, although I find myself also running in those without any issue.
All in all, a great buy.

Comments about Womens 2XU Compression Shorts Fitted:

I wear these shorts for long distance running and they maintain my quad muscles in place; therefore, they don't get as tired.

Compression Socks & Sleeves - Buying Guide

      Why wear compression sleeves?
You'll feel like Superman when you experience the increased blood flow you'll get through your legs when wearing compression socks or sleeves. When running it is common for your legs to collect pockets of swelling in certain areas of your muscles, sometimes causing pain and discomfort. Eliminate that with compression socks or sleeves! Compression will help your muscles direct blood flow more efficiently, helping you run faster and further.

      How do compression socks work?
That's a great question! The best way to explain how compression socks work is to use an analogy. Imagine you have a small spring between your index finger and thumb. When you compress that small sping, what usually happens? It bends sideways a bit. It takes a lot of concentration to collapse the spring completely straight, consolidating all its energy as efficiently as possible. The same thing happens on a microscopic level in your legs. Your muscles waste small amounts of energy as they compress and decompress due to sideways motion. Compression helps keep your muscles operating as efficiently as possible. By keeping them compressed a slight bit from the sock or sleeve, your body will conserve small amounts of energy which over a 3+ mile run will pay dividends!
