Ahalya's Fun Facts:

  • Ahalya received her Force RX from Athletes Helping Athletes and the Jackie Price-Dunn Memorial Fund in 2017. At the age of 15 Ahalya was already a competitive force in swimming and wanted to try her hand at triathlons. Since then she has gone on to do amazing things.
  • Ahalya upset a field of highly experienced athletes placing 3rd at the ITU World Paratriatholon Series in Yokohama Japan over the weekend. She was not even mentioned in the article on the website as one's to watch. The entire field was 11+ years her senior with National and International experience.

  • Ahalya is currently ranked 4th in the world and is hoping for a birth to the World Championships in Australia in September. With a few more races to go before selection Ahalya needs to be in the top 7 to be invited. GO Ahalya!!!
  • Last March Ahalya became family member #1176 when she was awarded her first handcycle a Force RX (top of the line racing bike) at our Naperville store. Ahalya had been competing in Triathlons on a borrowed bike. Since she received her Force RX a year ago she been tearing things up. I heard from her mom today and she is on a plane headed to Yokohama Japan to participate in the Para Tri World Series where she is hoping to qualify for the World Championships in Australia in September.
